Well if it is noticable and she is bugged about it I would go ahead and let her I think most girls start shaving there legs at about 11 I hated my moms rule when i was younger it was your not allowed to shave your legs until you become a women! So basically its up to you and the comfort of your daughter with her legs! Good Luck in deciding.

Notso answered Thursday June 1 2006, 12:43 am:
I don't think there is a solid age for when a girl should start shaving.

That said, your daughter will let you know in some way. She'll either ask, depending on your relationship, or do it on her own. Or you might just notice she's embarrassed to wear shorts, or talk about how her friends have started already.

Try and get to her before she tries on her own though, my mum would only let me use Nair, so I decided to shave on my own- mind you with the hair, so I ended up taking a huge chunk out of my leg, and still have a fairly dark scar.

If the hair is dark, they could always start shaving their legs in 5th grade. That's what a lot of my friends with darker hair did. I didn't start until 6th grade. Everyone was shaving by then. Usually that's a good age. Hope this helps.

mayonnaise answered Wednesday May 31 2006, 10:18 pm:
I started when I was 11. I remember cutting myself with the raor and it hurt so bad, laster I discovered an electric razor, where it is impossible to cut yourself. So, if you do decide to let your daughter start, then buy her an electric razor. They runa bout $10+ and you hardly ever have to buy new blades and you can cut yourself :)

Most girls that I know started when they started middle school (10-11) but some girls start when it gets noticable. So if your daughter is embarresed I would let her, but until it actually starts bothering her, then thats the time.

Good Luck and God Bless! :D

xHeartxOfxGoldx answered Wednesday May 31 2006, 10:10 pm:
I think it depends on the girl.
Personally, I didnt start shaving my legs until my friends did. I'm sure your daughter will be more then anxious too when her friends come in with no hair and she still has it. Just make sure she knows to tell you when she wants too so she doesnt end up cutting herself ( one time when my mom was 13 she cut her leg so bad shaving she needed to go to the hospital =/ ) Soo it's important that she knows what shes doing

I say anythime between 11-13 is a normal time to start shaving your legs. Or if you're judging by grade, 6th or 7th grade seems normal.

hope I helped

i started shaving when i was ten, and most of my friends started around 10 or 11. the friend that did it earliest was 8, and the one that waited the longest started shaving at 13. hope this gives you the range. i think 12 is pretty old to not be shaving, probably 10 or 11 is best.
