Hey guys, i like to read a lot, and i've read many famous books like To kill a mocking bird, Catcher in the Rye, Harry potter, and so on. Anyways does anyone know any really really good books, and authors for when i go to the library next time? And i dont want books that you have heard sound good, but actual books you guys have read and really enjoyed, like an "i never want to put it down" kinda book if that makes sense. Thanks luv ya!
* Joel by Joel Sonnenburg/Gregg Lewis
--- (true story) Joel was only two year old when and 18-wheeler smashed into his family's car. in the inferno that followed, he was burned on over 85 percent of his body. This is the story as only he can tell it.
These two books are my two all-time favorites. I have personally read both of them several times, and they are wonderful. I dont know your age, but I believe every tenn in America should read "Joel" It will change your life.
tasuki answered Thursday July 7 2005, 8:35 pm: Jane Eyre is my favorite book of all time. And I like Gossip Girl. Yeah, I know, it seems like it's really lame, but it's not. It's cool. And they're easy to read, too. If you like Harry Potter, read the Bartimaeus Trilogy and City of Ember. Ooh, ooh! A Series of Unfortunate Events. Those books rock my pet sperm whale, whose name is Hawk. And I saw this thing in the bookstore today, only read the first chapter but it was amazing, Seduced by Moonlight. Or something like that. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is also very, very awesome. And if you're into comics/manga at all, try Fushigi Yugi, Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden (that's the prequel to Fushigi Yugi), and Ceres Celestial Legend.

IndieKidsCanRock answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 4:28 pm: ♥From your question, I can kind of get the image of the kinds of books you like. My mind is blank right now, but here are the best ones for you that have popped into my head:
1.)The Giver by Lois Lowry.
2.)A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer.
3.)The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (?).
X0C0URT answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 10:52 am: Nicholas Sparks is the best author in my opinion. He has written lots of really good novels. Some are The Notebook (the movie was made after this book), The Wedding, The Rescue, and A Walk to Remember (I'm sure you've seen the movie). Check out www.nicholassparks.com for more info!
cicci answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 8:46 am: I have just read a really really good book, and I was hooked on it. A lot of my friends ghave read it too and they say it was good too. It depends how old you are, because it's a book for more mature people, but if you're into psychological type books then this one is sooooo good. It's called 'Lovely Bones' and it's by Alice Sebold. It's about a 14-year-old girl who gets murdered and the book follows her watching over her family and friends while they look for her murderer. You have to read it! xcuriousx0 answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 8:25 pm: hey,
Im not the biggest fan of reading so its pretty obvious that it takes alot to get me into a book. The only book that i can honestly say i couldnt put down was "the lovely bones" i think its by Allen Stratton or something like that. But anyways, its about a girl that gets raped and killed and she watches how her family copes with her death from heaven. She watches what happens to her killer too. Its alot better than how i described it. I really enjoyed it give it a try.
**mucho love**

deathwillcome answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 8:24 pm: There is this one that I just read that was really good. It was called "The Great Chase", and I liked it because it was about a kid that had problems just like I have problems. Now it is about a boy that goes to church, but judge it because of that, I don't go to church, and I loved it. I hope that you take my advise and read that book. Hope you like it, and please rate. S_C answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 8:08 pm: Well if you're into nonfiction, but really interesting, I just finished reading the "A Child Called It" trilogy, and it was REALLY good, I didn't want to put the first one down, the second one... I had to force myself to stop reading because it was really late and I needed some sleep, and the third one was pretty good, but if you're emotional it may not be for you, as embarassing as it is for me to say, I was fighting back tears in parts of each of them, I also wanted to throw up during the first one (he is forced to eat puke... it just kinda got me a little queasy) but all I will say is it's about a child back in the 70s who was horrible abused, got out of his parents home, went through discrimination as a foster child (or f-child as they were called back then, because for some reason it was bad to be in foster care) and it's about how he grew up into a fine adult. Really good book, but it all depends if you like that type of thing. Other than Catcher and the Rye (never read it) the other books you listed I also enjoyed, but I definitley reccomend the Child Called It trilogy. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

Anyways, I do not read a lot, but I did read a book called The Transall Saga, and I loved it. That is a very good book with an awesome plot. It's an adventure story and it has a wee bit of science fiction in it. I hope I helped. Friendly advice from Caleb.
