am i crazy?!
OMG all my friends (in my age range ~14~) say its okay and that they dont think its bad to have sex at this age and half of them like, arent virgins!! I just relaized this today but i think having sex at this age is just plain stupid!! Am i weird or crazy? IS it okay to have sex at my age?!!

ok i DO NOT think its ok to have sex at the age of 14 especially if you have ur period. Wow. I won't preech, but wow. I was 19, two months from being 2O before I gave mine up and it was perfect. But 14? Wow.. so young. I personally don't think it's a good idea because your body is still devloping & changing. Not only that, but trying to find a babysitter is super hard and unless you have either great support or a job, paying them would be hard also. I hope that they are all ok. No, you are not crazy at all. There is no set age to have sex, but i don't think its good to do it before you are married or engaged and have your life set. If you did have sex, you'd have to make him wear a condom because otherwise you might end up ruining your life. you are right to think it is stupid. hope i helped!

I don't know what the law is in other places but in England where I live, you have to be at least 16 to have sex. That's the law. However, if it's different in other places and your friends think it's ok then that's fine. That's their choice, don't think that just because they're having sex, (and they probably aren't, they're probably just saying they do to look good and all...) doesn't mean YOU have to. Do it when YOU feel ready...not when your friends do. Also, if there IS a certain legal age that you have to be before you have sex, then make sure you abide to it, it's there to protect you.

You might not agree because im a Christian, but sex is something that you should wait till your married for. Sex is a wonderfull thing that you should do with the one you love and want to devote your life to..and if you give it away at your age, it wont be as meaningfull. Think about the possibilities... you could use a condom.. but you still have a chance of getting pregnent (which you can't support), or getting a desease! Now that would suck having to live with that for the rest of you life.. wouldn't it? If you have sex at this age, it will be worse than an emtional rollercoaster! I was young when I lost my virignty, I guess I did it just because it felt like everyone else was...BUT...I think it's okay to have sex, just as long as your 100% sure your ready for it. Having sex has a lot of responsibilites...There are chances you could get pregnant or catch an STD...Most teens your age want to experience it because they think it's cool...Whatever you believe in, it's okay...

Some people blame it on Britney Spears, the news, Redbook magazine, the American obsession with thin, svelte, nude models, no proper role models, etc. For some reason there is little education going on, and as you've noticed, people who have hormones and lust don't see a reason NOT to act on them.
The main reason it's a bad idea is that this society no longer has resources for dealing with people who become mothers at the peak of their hormonal childbearing age--14 and 15. This was the case in the Middle Ages, when people rarely lived to 50 and it was important to marry young.
As soon as they got lustful, they were married and started breeding. The genes have not changed, but the world has. We just can't deal with a whole generation of pregnant 14-year-olds.
Sex has many positive correlations, don't let people try to talk you out of that. It can be a very important thing, and to be totally nonsexual can be damaging to mental health. However there's no reason to be just lewd and loose at fourteen.
14-year-olds do not have the mental resources to handle the mess of sex and its consequences. Not because of sex alone, I believe, but because of the huge huge number of THINGS attached to it--commitment, hiding it, flaunting it, being a slut, being cool, being embarrassed, anger, happiness, pregnancy and disease, religion, family---it's all been tied in by society and that makes sex an incredibly complicated and annoying thing. I can't think of a 14-year-old who can really handle all of that without fucking up in some area. I had sex at sixteen and I made mistakes as well--people found out who shouldn't have--but at 14? God, i could barely get my homework done regularly and not scream at my parents, let alone handle sex and all its accessories.

You arent weird or crazy unless i am too cause i think the same thing!! I am 13, and I totally think it is not right! How can you love someone enough at oru age to give them something so special? I think you definatly need to wait until your readdy enough to take of a child ( not even condoms are 100% they can get you pregnant). So please be certain that you can handle that possibly. Also do not allow your friends to influence you on having sex! It isn't safe!

You're neither weird nor crazy. (I personally think you're more sensible than your friends.) It is okay for some people, I guess. I would personally wait until it was legal to have sex to go about doing that, but that's just me.
People have different opinions of when the right age is. For some it can be as young as thirteen, but the people who engage in sexual activity that young usually regret it.
Of course, the same thing could be said about someone my age (I'm nearly 17), but I don't regret anything I've done.
It's really an opinion thing, more than a right or wrong thing.

I have friends who have had sex at this age and some who haven't. I dont think it matters what age you have sex as long as you want to. I never had sex but i dont see anything wrong with it. As long as you love the guy and really want to then it is ok. Dont have sex to impress anyone, do it for yourself. If you dont want to have sex then DONT! Don't worry, your not weird or crazy! I don't think it's terrible. Most 14 year olds are smart enough to know that sex makes babies, and that you need to use condoms. I think that if you have a steady boyfriend that you have been going out with for a long time, and you REALLY love him and he REALLY loves you back, then there's nothing wrong with it.
