wvsweetheart2006 answered Thursday September 16 2004, 6:51 pm: It depends on the girl. Some girls have theirs for seven days, some have theirs for as little as three to four days. You can go to this website and click on the Menstration Tab to learn more about it. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
xo__LiSHY answered Thursday September 16 2004, 10:27 am: It all depends. When you're a teenager you could have your period for 3 day or 2 weeks. It's different for everyone so don't compare you're period w/ your friends because you'll think you're abnormal. With time and as your body grows you're period should last between 5-7 days. sk8rgurl answered Wednesday September 15 2004, 5:12 pm: its averaged to like 6-7 days...sometimes even 4 or 5...it really varys depending on how hevey it is and how long u have had it. if u have had it for a year the it should be about 6 days....2-3 years will probably be 7 to 8 days...and so on and so forth!
alisonmarie answered Wednesday September 15 2004, 6:52 am: The average is 5-7 days. You could have heavy bleeding the entire time, light bleeding, or a mixture.
You could have bad cramps, no cramps, or some cramps. Seeing the pattern?
It's different for every female. A good idea would be to buy a calender for your room. Every time you get your period, circle the day. Continue to circle every day that you have it - you can also use this calender to write down any PMS symptoms or patterns in your bleeding.
This will help you get to know what is normal for you, as well as providing you excellent background info for when you start having gyno appointments. Once a girl starts her period, the doctor - no matter WHY you are at the doctor - will ask when the first day of your last period was. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]
Riggzy answered Tuesday September 14 2004, 9:21 pm: Four days is the average, for girls whose cycles are "regular". However, my cycle has NEVER been regular, and it can last from five to seven days for some girls. You'll love menopause, though. It loses ALL predictability then. So, in other words, a girl has her period for WAYYYYY TOOOOO LOOONGGG. [ Riggzy's advice column | Ask Riggzy A Question ]
SwEeTcHeEkS08 answered Tuesday September 14 2004, 9:10 pm: Well mine is usually about 5 days. I think that is pretty normal.
glc answered Tuesday September 14 2004, 8:17 pm: I've heard that anywhere from a month to several years is not uncommon. [ glc's advice column | Ask glc A Question ]
