Salary Range

Why would a company state a salary range if they don't intend to pay in the upper end of that range? I interviewed for a job recently. The stated salary range was $65k - $75k. They offered me $68k, which is only $1k above my current salary. I turned down the offer, but the HR Manager called and said they really liked me, and wanted to know what it would take to get me to come on board. I told her $72k. An hour later, I was told they were going to pursue other candidates. They didn't bother to make a counter offer.

What does it mean when someone is nice one minute and rude the next?

I'm wondering what is wrong with a certain person: mentally, (obviously); or, psychologically, as a psych-professional would call it... . This guy's name is Gerald, and he's either got an attitude problem, or; something is definitely wrong with him, mentally: he's nice one minute: laughing & joking with everyone and, then goes evil the next, and he's all angry - as I can tell by looking at his facial expression. What's wrong with him?

Me and my bf have been together for almost 3 years and I'm 19 and he's 24 and we have a 1yr old son together. Our sex life has been pretty good but now he is always wanting oral and he doesn't wanna have sex with me even though he says he will but he just gets what he wants n that's it. Does anyone know why this is? Please help me out.

About a year ago I came out to my parents that I was an Atheist. Well they are young earth creationists(which means they take everything in the bible literaly.) so they did not take to kindly to it. Healing and reducing burns and cuts

15/f I did burn myself a few times on my wrist and they have healed in a red/pink way. I really want to reduce to colour to a white skin coloured scar that isn't as noticeable. I would love some remedies for this and also to reduce the look of cuttin scars.. I need them to appear less bright in a few weeks

Switch iCloud

I want to update my phone. I have a iPhone 4, but I'm not sure what iOS it has. But I do know I want to update my phone to iOS 7. I have a lot of notes and pictures that I really need and want to keep. I've did some research that says everything will be saved if I have iCloud. Well, I have iCloud but it's my dads and I want my own, so is there a way I can transfer the stuff from my dads iCloud to my new own? Please help and thanks to the ones that do :)

I really don't feel good about myself.

Hey. I know this is gonna sound really negative, but I'm really not happy with myself. My BMI is 30.1, which is considered obese. I feel really alone in this, even though I know others are going through the same thing. But it really makes me feel horrible (yes, horrible) when my friends post beach pictures of themselves and they have washboard abs and I have to wear a shirt at the beach. I have a farmer's tan. Ew. I'm 15 now, and I used to be really thin. lIke I was a tiny kid before 3rd grade. But then, I had surgery every six months until last June for scoliosis and I really regret not using those six months in between surgeries to lose weight. My mom is weird. She yells for the stupidest stuff and gets angry quickly. Today we rented a movie and my brother played it off the ps3 . She started yelling and screaming why youbeat the system use the cd playr in front of my cousin even tho the movie plays either way. I have been with my boyfriend for close to 3 years now. When we first got together we both heavily discussed not wanting to get married. He has a child from a previous relationship (they never married) she is 4 now and I think of her as my own daughter. With a child involved being serious or not being together are really the only 2 outcomes of a relationship. Well we moved in together after 1 year and we are very happy. My parents say that even if I go to classes I can't babysit anyone.

Every year, I try to get my parents to let me go to a kid's college. They say I can if I want to, but I still can't babysit anyone. I even try to reason with them. I say that I should at least get to try so I can understand what it's like to do it on my own. I can help the people in my community, but I do realize that I have responsibilities. I should keep a watchful eye over the child and the house. What do I do?

I'm not justifying any crimes, but it seems that when there's a video of a women beating a man for no reason, everyone cheers her on and the man doesn't really get any justice, but when a men does it more men come over and beat the shit out of him, people call him every name in the book, then the cops come over and beat the shit out of him, then his innmates in jail probably beat the shit out of him for it, the women gets all these benifits, and goes to a nice home and a support group and everything. Should I Stay or Go?

You answered my question about making a job change recently. After initially accepting the offer, I recanted and turned it down. Later that day the HR Manager left me a voicemail stating management really liked me and wanted to sweeten the offer. I called this morning. Instead of making an offer, she asked me what it would take to get me to come. I gave her a number that was 6% more than what Iwas offered, but still well within the stated salary range. She later sent an email saying she gave the proposal to management and that they were going to pursue other candidates. They didn't even make a counter offer, and said they really didn't think I wanted the job. I thought it was bizarre.
