is FIVERR a scam? will they scam me out of my money?

Posted Monday August 30 2010, 6:50 pm

I found this online thing where you can post ads for what you'll do for $5. I am totally down for that because I NEED MORE MONEY. I think I can do a lot of things on the Fiverr site thing but I'm afraid it's a scam and they'll like take money from me or not pay me right or something. Is Fiverr a scam or no? I only wanna do safe online work where i will really get paid. it's just www.fiverr.com

Should I Wear Nail Polish to a Job Interview?

Posted Monday August 30 2010, 6:26 pm

I am going for another job interview tomorrow. I was laid off last month and things got tough so I had to come back and stay with my mom until I can get another job. Anyway, I had my outfit laid out and asked my mom what she thought of it. She said it looked very professional for the job and that I'd look great. Then she said I should take my nail polish off before the interview to look more serious about the job. My nail polish is pink right now. Is it inappropriate to have painted nails with nailpolish when showing up for an interview?

I was forced to quit my job. How can I make money from home?

Posted Sunday August 29 2010, 11:15 am

I just recently was forced to quit my job waitressing by my parents (even though I am 18 I have to abide by their rules since I'm living under their roof)

Anyway, I used to make really good money working there. Now, I have to work from home. I teach piano, and I was wondering what a good way was to find students. I teach at a professional level and have been doing so for years.

Any suggestions? Also, any other way to make money from home (as I'm going to college that's an hour away from home, I need my schedule to be flexible. I'm saving this money to rent a room closer to the university)

Thank you :)

career change

Posted Sunday August 22 2010, 3:02 am

I am a married 41 yr. old mom of 2. Ages 13 and 5. I am on unemployment from cert. nursing aide, been doing this since age 18. Too physically demanding. Need a career change. Like either medical billing/coding, can sit at a desk. Schooling isnt too long for this. But will it be challenging/rewarding enough for me? I also like Medical assisting, schooling isnt too long, but I will still be walking, on my feel most all day, can I do this? X-ray/medical asst, like medical asst, but can do limited scope xrays, will be on my feet, but pay will be probably little better than both of the previously mentioned, and I'm sure it will be challenging and rewarding. Am I too old? Can I commit to this? Need to make sure, I'm afraid to make the wrong deci...

Travel.

Posted Sunday August 1 2010, 5:02 pm

I am going into 11th grade, meaning I am 15 and I am a girl. I am kind of a worry wart. That I won't ever find a job I like, that I'll be doing a dumb job and will hate the rest of my life, that I won't make enough money to afford a house. See :/ These are the things I think about when I start thinking about a future. I love design, I love making things and painting things, I'm not a fan of drawing very much, I also love music, I make some clothing, I love kids, I like writing, whether or not I'm good at it, who know, I write for myself mostly. One thing I am so passionate about, though, is travel. I love to travel. I want to see the world. So, can you please name some jobs where I can travel and see the world's beauty? Thank you!

Medical field

Posted Sunday July 25 2010, 9:25 pm

Hey im 19/f and i really want to work in the medical field. I was going to become a nurse and i attended my first year of college but i dont have money for this years tuition so college is now out of the question sadly. My friend told me about EMT the schooling is $1000 and thats a little pricey for me. Then i thought about becoming a CNA but people have told me its a pretty crappy job. Is there any jobs that you know of that you dont have to go to college for and are decently priced? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody and i do rate.

What to do after college.

Posted Sunday July 25 2010, 2:58 am

I just graduated from college with an education degree and am now uncertain if I want to be a teacher...plus I'm having trouble finding a job anyway. I'm living back at home, while the rest of my friends have either not yet graduated or have found jobs and moved away. I'm trying to decide what to do with my life...I'm only 22 and still looking to have some fun...but at the same time want to utilize my degree. I know grad school is an option, but then I'm really over-qualified if I do decide to become a teacher. What should I do?

I need some kind of job

Posted Wednesday July 14 2010, 11:53 pm

No one is hiring, I'm negative in the bank, and I'm ashamed of myself that I have been out of college for 3 years and no one wants me to work for them.

I've tried selling a book, nothing. Stores, nothing. temp agencies, ****ing nothing.

I'm starting to get suicidally depressed about this, and am starting to think that if I don't get some money soon, the only way I won't be a strain on my family is to wander off some desolate to starve to death.
