I recently got my belly button repierced, and it was pierced with a standard implant grade surgical stainless steel barbell. I was wondering if there was a differece between a belly button ring you would buy somewhere, and the particular barbells you get pierced with. I tried to take the top ball off the change only the ball, but couldnt get it off..I wasnt sure if there was something different about the starter barbell..thank you!

Hi. Theres 2 different types of barbells. One of them have balls that you have to have a special tool to change, and the other type you can just twist the ball off. When your healing period is up, just go back to where you got it pierced at and they will be able to change it for you. :] Good Luck.

Hey sorrie took so long to rate your advice. I was the one who asked bout the cartilage and bullshit. Btw, you said you lose sight for a few minutes everytime you get a piercing? So did it happen when you got a cartilage?

I was just thinking..it's wierd that you'll lose sight for a while cos I did ask my friends and none of them told me that.

Yup, I lose sight for a minute or two everytime. Yes, it happened when I got my cartiledge too.

I actually have no idea why it happens, but its really fuckin annoying. But yeah..its pretty wierd.

If all you want to do is lose fat, and have a sexy body. Then Exercise! :]

I don't really think you need to go on a diet, since you only want to work on those 2 parts of your body. Try doing sit-ups, and walking.

Eating healthy, and eating foods that speed up your matabalism is a good idea.

But really all you need to do is exercise. :]

Hey I was thinking of getting a helix or wat people will call, cartilage(upper ear) piercing.

1)Will it hurt badly and is the level of pain equal to piercing your ear lobe?

I've heard bout a story where someone who pierced his helix went blind. After he had he's cartilage pierced he saw something white protruding out and he pulled it out and he unknowingly pulled out his nerve.

2)Is this possible or is it pure bullshit?

I have over 20 piercings, one of which is a helix.

1) It hurts, but not like really bad. I'd say just a little worse than your ear lobe.

2) I think thats its bullshit. But it could be true, I have heard of this happening. Cause everytime I get a piercing I loose sight for a few minutes, but I don't like blackout.

Hey, I'm a guy and I grow my hair out long, over a foot in length. I wear it parted in the middle and pulled back in a pony-tail, and have had it like this for several years now. Just recently, I've started having a lot of breakage in my hair, lots in the shower drain and in the brush or comb. (no, I am not going bald, in case you're wondering) I can see the ends where the hair has broken and it's looking really bad.

Is there a type of shampoo or conditioner that works well for longer hair and prevents breakage? I've been doing other things that my girlfriend suggested such as using a hairdryer and certain ways of combing. But I still have a lot of breakage problem. Don't want to cut it off, either, as I like having it long. =P

Any advice or suggestions? If it helps at all, my hair is also very fine, not thick or curly.

My fiance' has a sister that does hair..I always ask her on stuff like this..

She said to trim it maybe half an inch.
Then buy some Mane & Tail shampoo and conditioner.

I want to give my daughter pink streaks in her hair for Halloween (she's 3). I bought spray on hair color that goes on really nice and bright. But I can't figure out how to give her streaks, like highlights. After I get the streaks right I want to pull back her hair in a ponytail and put glitter on it. It will look really cute if I can ever figure it out.

Okay, the easier thing to do is get some aluminum foil. Take a piece of hair, lift it up, pu a small piece of aluminum foil under it, then spray the color on there. Then just do that for each streak. Sounds pretty easy right?

And just throw some glitter in there before you put it in a pony tail. That should look really cute!

in the winter, or in cold weather my hair gets full of static. this only happens once i straighten it though, and i straighten it a lot. so what can i do to reduce the amount of static in my hair? are there any products i can use?

i've heard of using dryer sheets, but can't that be bad for your hair?

I love the dress. Personally I think it fits you well and you look really amazing in it. Also, the stockings, really bring out the black belt in the dress. And the black stockings reflect the color of the dress perfect. Although, I have no idea what kind of shoes you should wear. Oh, and tan lines, get some tanning lotion. Some like Jergens Natural Glow. That should take care of them. =]

I do that to my hair a lot.
Clip up the top layer, and the straighten you bottom layer super straight.
Then take down the top layer and straighten it.
Then take and wave the top layer in random places.

I changed my gauges gradually, going up a step each time so i dont tear or anything...i was just wondering if it was bad that i'm only waiting about a week to change the gauges to the next level. i just changed from a 12 to a 10 gauge. also, i've heard of "blowouts" with gauging your ears...and i may be wrong but when i changed my gauges a little bit of skin or tissue or whatever was pushed by the 10 gauge....is that concidered a blowout? it doesnt seem to be a problem right NOW...but then again i just did it. i cleaned both ears with bactine right after.

if you have any other tips, please feel free to tell me...i really want to gauge my ears the right way and i could use help from people who acually KNOW what they're doing.

Hi. I've managed to gauge my ears to 00. It only took 30 weeks. Ha. I guess you could say I know what I'm talking about, I mean I do have over 20 piercings. Here goes;

No, what you had was NOT considered a blowout. A blowout is when a huge chunk of skin comes off. And its very irritating and painful.

The easiest thing to do is wait one or two weeks after gauging to go to a size bigger. That way your ear has time to heal and can get used to something being that size.

Don't skip gauges. Its dangerous. Don't go 10 then 4. Go 10, 8, 6, 4 and so on.

Make sure you clean your ears at least twice a day with peroxide. That way they can't get infected and will stay clean.

Believe it or not, jewlery is very important. Make sure you use a good type of jewerly such as stainless steal or sterling silver. None of that fake crap.

does the herbal essences Dangerously Straight work? i tried sunsilk and it doesn't make my hair straight and i'm not allowed to use a straightner or blowdryer. my hair is light brown and kinda poofy and frizzy after my hair dries from when i get out of the shower. when its completly dry, its poofy, frizzy, and kinda wavy in some places and kinda straight in other places. so can someone please tell me if the herbal essences stuff works right for my hair? thanks soo much! :)

Hi. My hair is the same way. So I bought it the day it came out. No, it does not work. But one thing I have found to work is, SunSilk Anti-Poof. I know you said SunSilk didn't work, but thats cause you bought the ame that "straightens" it. But the Anti-Poof, makes your hair look healthier, and straighter. Also, if you buy a conditioner and condition your hair everytime you wash it, it will be less dry and frizzy.

What are some good ways to straighten my hair? I use a Conair Cermaic straightner now and when I'm done, some of it is still frizzy. Any good creams or anything you would reccomend?

Hi. My boyfriends sister is a hair stylest, my hair used to look like an electricuted poodle. So, she told me what to buy and get and all that good stuff, and its the only thing that has really worked.
First;; Buy some shampoo and conditioner, its by Herbel Esscence, and its new. Its in a pinkish bottle, its called Straighten Up. Make sure you buy the conditioner also. If you condition your hair it will cause less breakage which means less frizz.
Second;; Once your hair is washed, conditioned, as soon as you step out of the shower, wrap your hair in a large tshirt. Towels make your hair have friction and that friction causes frizz.
Third;; When your hair is almost dry, take it out, comb it however you want it.
Fourth;; Take a large hair clip, and clip up the top layer of your hair, use the lowest heat setting of your hair dryer and dry only the section down, then straighten. Then, take and unclip a little of your hair and do the same thing. Keep doing that until you are finished.

Doing all of that will result in almost perfect or perfect hair. =]
