What are some good ways to straighten my hair? I use a Conair Cermaic straightner now and when I'm done, some of it is still frizzy. Any good creams or anything you would reccomend?
mayonnaise answered Thursday August 10 2006, 7:32 pm: Hi. My boyfriends sister is a hair stylest, my hair used to look like an electricuted poodle. So, she told me what to buy and get and all that good stuff, and its the only thing that has really worked.
First;; Buy some shampoo and conditioner, its by Herbel Esscence, and its new. Its in a pinkish bottle, its called Straighten Up. Make sure you buy the conditioner also. If you condition your hair it will cause less breakage which means less frizz.
Second;; Once your hair is washed, conditioned, as soon as you step out of the shower, wrap your hair in a large tshirt. Towels make your hair have friction and that friction causes frizz.
Third;; When your hair is almost dry, take it out, comb it however you want it.
Fourth;; Take a large hair clip, and clip up the top layer of your hair, use the lowest heat setting of your hair dryer and dry only the section down, then straighten. Then, take and unclip a little of your hair and do the same thing. Keep doing that until you are finished.

more_than_a_feeling answered Thursday August 10 2006, 7:05 pm: Hahaha your subject or whatever is funny. I freaking hate ceramic straighteners...they do nothing for my hair too. I would suggest the Wet to Straight straightener, it's like $20 at Target and it's a great investment haha. Also Garnier Fructis leave-in conditioner is great for frizzy hair. So is Bed Head's Frizz Control Gel. Hope I helped. [ more_than_a_feeling's advice column | Ask more_than_a_feeling A Question ]
xojessii answered Thursday August 10 2006, 6:34 pm: First when you dry your hair do it on the lowest heat level with your hair dryer.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Head will help with the frizz.
Also try not to put your hair up wet and use hair bands with out the metal clip on them, it will prevent breakage on your hair, therefore less frizz.

xomegaroni answered Thursday August 10 2006, 6:08 pm: blah, my hair is so curly. what i do use when i get out've the shower, i use frizzies by john frieda. its a serum type thing. Conair [in my opinion] has really bad hair straightners. i use Revlon. it was actually not that expensive & it's ceramic. if you're using a straightner, you definately want it to be ceramic. mines also thin & what not. to actually straighten it, work in small strands from the bottom of your hair [underneath & what not] & work your way up.
