What is your opinion on black hair?do you think it ia boring and ugly?

I think black hair can be very pretty and classic, if it's with the right cut. I'm not a huge fan of the black emo spikey hair, but that's just me.
The only thing about black hair ... if you have blonde roots, you better be ready to dye those suckers every other week, maybe more. Also, oil shows up much better in black hair, for whatever reason, so if you're fond of only washing your hair twice a week, black hair may not be for you. :)
I'm not really sure what JB8954 meant by saying your popularity affects whether or not you should have black hair ... last time I checked social status didn't relate to your hair color in any way ?

I dont really like black hair
it looks good on some people but if it is long and stringy .. ewwww or if it is SUPER SHORT ewww.
I am a natural Brunette, so i'm used to brunette hairr.
but if its smooth
and straight.. or wavy
i like it

it is not boring or ugly or goth, in my opinion, or anything negative like that. black hair looks really good on some people (as long as youre not too pale.) and i think its really pretty. it's also rare (alot of people have dark brown hair but not black) so that's also really pretty. if you have really tan skin, then its reallyy pretty! :] and its not boring because not many people have it.

I don't think its ugly.
I think its overdone and a pathetic way
to make everyone believe you are "emo" or
"scene." Yeah I might sound rude for
assuming a label like that but its true.
Most people only dye their hair to be
"different from the crowd" when in reality
they just want to be like all the other
cool emo kids. So in that case, I don't like
pretty girls who just want to look dark
and depressed. There are plenty of other
way to do that.
However if black (or almost black) is
your natural hair color, work it!
I'm all for it if its not just
for attention.
If you want to lighten it up a bit
try highlights, I'm not sure exactly
what shade your hair is, so I won't
recommend highlight color options
without looking first. So just ask your
stylist what he/she thinks would work
best.

it honestly depends on your facial features
black hair will look goof IF
you have darker eyebrows
you have a darker skintone
your hair is straight/you straighten it
you know how to style it
black hair looks bad IF
you're super pale, it floods your face of colour
you have blonde hair/eyebrows
you just leave it down and a mess
I suggest adding another colour to it
& you have to know that once you dye your hair black, there's basically no turning back unless you pay a lot of money to have the colour lifted

hey, well i was born with black hair. i once died it a light brownish redish color. i was so upset that i lost my black hair. i love it now and i would never dye it again. also i have green eyes. its just what you think looks good on you. of course, people that are tan look much better in black hair. also it depends on what your hair color was before. if it was blonde i wouldnt go with black. that would be a little too drastic. if your very pale i would go with a brown color or something more low-key rather then black.

If you have black hair, with blue/green eyes your pretty much gorgeous with a nice tan/medium skin tone!
If you have black hair with brown eyes and a nice medium skin tone your still not boring.
But some people when they have blackish hair their REALLY white and that can make them look completely washed out. But thats what makes you unique :)

It depends on facial structure and skin tone. I am medium toned, and ive colored my hair black, blonde, burgundy, brown. I personally think black is a pretty hair color.

All colors of hair can be beautiful. Black, in particular, goes with anything - a redhead may have trouble coordinating outfits, but one with black hair can do whatever she wants!
Actually, to ask whether black hair is ugly is kind of like asking if a blue car is ugly. There are so many things besides color that factor into it, one cannot make such a sweeping generalization. If you have black hair that's tangled, knotted, falling out in clumps, and infested with lice, then it could safely be considered ugly. If it's clean, brushed, and styled in a way that compliments your other features, then it's attractive.
And if you don't like it, go to any supermarket and you'll see over a hundred different products you can use to change it.

Your popularity, skin color, natural hair color, eye color, etc.
If you're emo already, it'll make you more hardcore? I guess..
If you're popular, everyone will love it & copy you.
If you're average, some will love it, some will think you're going emo, some will copy you, it might even look like you're natural hair color.
For ME, my natural hair color was darkish brown. My eyes are reddish brown. I died my hair black about 2 months ago [I'm average, not emo] and it looks AWESOME. My skin color is kind of olive/orange. 1 popular girl with light brown hair, 1 mexican with medium/dark red/brown hair, and 1 REALLY popular girl with medium brown hair ALL COPIED ME ABOUT 1 WEEK LATER.
Go for it. It's DEFINITLEY NOT boring and ugly!

It's not all about the colour. It's how you style it and make it look. and whether it suits you.
I don't have a problem with black hair. I know many people with it and I think it looks pretty on either gender!

I dye my hair a lot. But I think that if it is styled right, it can look good. Black hair can be boring and ugly, but if its styled good, then it can look amazing.

color is only part of the package, how you style it and how much you like it is much more importatnt. Confidence in your looks and a smile do wonders for any hair style.
