hi I'm a freshman in highschool and my mom just told me that I need braces I don't want to have braces!. I already have acne and need glaces I'm gonna look like a total geek. I don't know what to do. Is there anyway how I can fix my teeth without using braces?. Is there any invisable one?. Any ideas. Please.

almost every freshmen i know have braces its a common thing. no one would care if oyu got them either. you could try invisalign if you wanted too though. i can always thell when someone is wearing them, but they ARE less noticable than regular braces. i tihnk you would be better off having braces than crooked teeth.
maybe you should try and get contacts too. i have them and theyre awesome. i hated wearing glasses. you egt used to putting them in really quick. and if you really hate your acne, try washing your face twice a day with an acne cleanser and using toner or astringent. it help a lot.

My mom made me a doctors appotment in August with a regualar pediatricion. (i'm 13)

I'm gonna get a physical or a check-up, I can't remember which one. Thing is, I havn't been to the doctor since I was 7 or 8. So, of course, I've gotten my period since then.

Will my doctor want to take a look "down there"?

My little sister had a stomach virus.. which was given to me. So I ended up puking about 6 or 7 times last night. My ribs are showing and my stomach hurts. And so I kinda look anorexic. I feel really empty. So if my period stops.. is that bad? I've had it for about 4 years..so it's not irregular and it lasts the whole week. I'm on the 4th day and it's so light.. when I'm usually heavy. Is that bad?

my friends have been bugging me about how i have been taking 6 - 8 advils a day. they think i have really bad headaches because i tell them that. but sometimes i take them just for the heck of it.. my friends think that one day i will o.d. but i told them i wont. i also said i stopped taking them, but i havent.. i just dont want them to worry.. do you think im addicted? i dont, but i was wondering what you all think.

taking advil more than prescribed or told to take can burn the lining of your stomach. its extremely painful(i know, trust me)
you shouldnt be doing this, it isnt healthy. i wouldnt know if your addicted or not, only a professional would. talk to someone about this though, because theres something wrong and you have no other way of getting it out.

I share a bathroom with my 10 yearold sister and we keep our waste basket in the closet so my dog doesn't get to it. Everytime I get my period, i make sure i push my trash all the way to the bottom and close the closet door. BUT m sister always leaves the door open. My dog gets bloody tampons and the drags them around the house. My dad is getting disgusted and so am I! He blames it on me because of course its mine, not my moms. He says things like "You know the only thing that disgusts me is your bloody tampons" Its so embarassing!! How can I deal with this? My sister is an effin lazy ass.

clean and clear acne spot treatment work great to get rid of acne overnight.

I'm scared to death of tampons; but I need to start using them because I play volleyball and I don't want the pad to be visible. I keep trying to put them in, but they get to a point where I can't push it in anymore and it hurts so bad I want to cry. I've used almost a whole box trying to put one in; does anyone have any tips that might help this be less painful?

okay when i was first starting ot use them, i found it that its not exactly "up" where you put them it, is more pointing towards your back.

you can tell if its teared, its split in 2! lol
but usually it will itch or hurt and your eye will water a lot. just take it out and check. you will need new ones if they happen to be ripped though.

Hey, i am currently on medication to help make my pimples go away..it's not working all that great right now though..are there any ways i can make my pimples go away faster in addition to my medication?

this sound so typical, but proactive.
i wasnt one who thought it would be good, but after a week, my pimples were gone.
i bought this acne cream from them too, its for spots, and over night, my pimple(whick was HUGE!) was practically gone.
i absolutely love it. you need to get it.

i was just wondering what people think of glasses. do you find them nerdy or attractive? i have to wear glasses fullo time and i am wondering if contacts are the way to go or should i wear glasses but i dont want to seem like a four eyes freak. any inputs are appreciated.

contacts are great, especially in the summer when you swim or if you play sports. it takes a while to get used to putting them in, but the trick for me if to look away when you put them in, so you dont blink.
glasses arent geeky. i like it when people get the really cool glasses. it makes them look smart. bottlecap glasses arent exactly the sexiest thing though. haha

Is it safe to break open Vitamin E gel filled capsules to put the gel onto scars to help them fade? Vitamin E is supposed to help with that, and I've heard that rubbing the gel on the scars is good, but I've also heard that breaking open any sort of pill is bad for you. Any insight on this?

i used that same thing after i had bone taken from my hip, and the scar is almost gone.
infact, the doctor RECCOMENDED it for the scaring.

I am overweight (13 yrs old, 5ft 4in, and 140 lbs) so I use a bathroom scale to check my weight 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. Why is my weight different at those 2 times of the day? How do I know which one is telling the truth? Are any of the scales telling the truth? Because one time I went to the doctor and I weighed more on that scale than on the one I own at home. Why are these weights all different? How much do I really weigh? Help me please! What should I do?

your wieght changes at different times during the day, because of the graviational pull of the moon to earth. thats what my teacher said a few weeks ago.

well i have my period i know it SUCKS..especially that im on break..and its like suuper heavy im not even kidding its the worst its ever been..and i wear like pads because tampons = no for me ..i have reasoning but i dont really want to like list all of them so PLEASE dont suggest that..well i havent done anything over break because i have to go to the bathroom like every 10 minutes since my period is SO heavy..it feels so gross =( what do i do? ugh this sucks! i am even on birth control to try and like make my periods less heavy..but i dont know! any suggestions? i will rate high!!

well, take midol for the cramps (if you have bad ones) that works awesome.

get the biggest pad you can get. you could always ask your mom or someone in your family.
i doubt its anything serious.

I have to go for my first "girly" check up alone because I am having problems at school and they are being slowly sorted out but my parents know nothign about it but my health is going down. What I want to know is during this check up do they really look at your vagina and boobs and what do they do to them? Also do they do anythign to your bum? I am really embarrest andits happening in a month please give me some advice.

well this is my advice from what i think you mean. they check your breasts for lumps(it depends how old you are--cancer possibly) and if everything is doing okay. "down there"is a different story. i dont know how much of a visit your getting, but the doctor just checks you out to see if there are any problems. i know that in most cases they take samples ans send them out to be analyzed. umm your bum..not so sure. haha
but just relax during the visit and everything should be fine.
