Is it safe to break open Vitamin E gel filled capsules to put the gel onto scars to help them fade? Vitamin E is supposed to help with that, and I've heard that rubbing the gel on the scars is good, but I've also heard that breaking open any sort of pill is bad for you. Any insight on this?

Be careful with taking too much Vitamin E as it is a fat-soluble vitamin and can be stored when not used and when you ingest too much it can cause toxicity of the vitamin. Just follow the bottle directions. Taking in plenty of water will also help speed the process of fading the scars. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
