No, of course fruit won't make you fat. There are no grams of fat in it, just fiber and vitamins. And I strongly suggest you get the idea that putting food into your body makes you fat. Otherwise, eventually, maybe you won't eat anything.

I have a problem with bad breath. I've suffered from it since I've been a child. It's so embarrasing. When I'm at work I ALWAYS have to chew on minty flavored gum because I don't want to scare away customers.
What happens when I run out of gum? I have to make a speach tonight at my toastmasters club. Does anyone have any home rememedies of how to cure bad breath? And please don't tell me to brush my teeth and tongue and floss, because that nevr works.

I'm not an expert on this, but I heard that if you eat a lot of citrus fruits, like oranges and lemons and grapefruit, that cures bad breath.

Please don't delete this question, because I am actually very curious about this. Why do people join this website who aren't even serious about helping people or receiving help? People who need help come here and some ignorant people joke around and even insult these people in need. Don't you think it's time we suspend or expel these rude people? I'm sick of it myself.

RussianMailman is right. Many people here have very shallow needs. And what's the big deal, anyway? These people are just bored kids who think that they are eccentric by coming up with dumb answers. Most of them don't say anything genuinely harmful [if they do, you can report them]. A 5-year-old blows a raspberry at you and calls you a name. Are you insulted? No, you just ignore it, laugh and go on with your day. The same rule applies with the "insulting people" on this site. And hey, some of them are pretty funny...

i was just wondering what people think of glasses. do you find them nerdy or attractive? i have to wear glasses fullo time and i am wondering if contacts are the way to go or should i wear glasses but i dont want to seem like a four eyes freak. any inputs are appreciated.

careless-fun is right. Coke-bottle glasses look unattractive, but you can find some with really cool frames. The best ones are the cats-eye glasses (the kind that point up at the upper corners) which are really cute, look good on everyone and give you that "look." Or, you could always stick to contacts, but those are really easy to lose and cost a lot of money. I think the cats-eye glasses are the best way to go.

My mom got me some socks for Christmas that came with no fiber content or washing instructions. I think they must be all or mostly wool though. I've never had to deal with washing wool before (never washed my wool sweaters) but you can't go on wearing socks over and over without washing them. How do I wash wool? Do I wash it with the rest of my clothes? Do I hand-wash it, if so, do I use normal detergent or something special? I hope it doesn't have to be dry cleaned, it seems ridiculous to dry clean socks.

DO NOT WASH THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE. In like 30 minutes they could shrink so much that they can't even fit like a 7 year old. You have to wash wool by hand. Fill up a bucked of water and scrub 'em. You can use normal detergent.

I went on a blind date today and it didnt excactly turn out the way I wanted it to. Well for starters, I had agreed to meet him at a local coffee shop with the couple that set us up. He was late and when he did show up he didnt look too happy when he saw me for the first time. He didnt offer to buy me anything to drink or eat, and the whole time we ended up talking about his friends or his business. He didnt ask me any questions about me or my personal life or interests, which indicated that he wasnt too crazy about me. We all talked for about a half hour, and when the couple the introduced us had to leave, my date looked at his watch and said he had to go. He never offered me his number or asked for mine. He actually looked like he couldnt wait to get out of there. The other couple looked surprised and thought we would have stayed longer. My friend (the wife of the other couple) I think felt bad and invited me over to her place afterwards.
Is it just me, or was my blind date really rude? I don't understand what I did to make him act like this, the whole time I was polite and engaged him in conversation.

As far as I see it, your date was a selfish asshole. I mean, he didn't get you anything to eat or drink, showed no interest in you and talked the whole time about his friends and his business. Pfuit! I don't think you should even want his phone number. Why would you possibly want to talk to him if he doesn't like you and all he wants to talk about is his friends and his business? Don't feel bad. You did everything you should have; you had good manners and engaged him in conversation. You can't predict the minds of SOME jerks out there

I'm auditioning for a play soon. I need to tell them how I sing (ex. soprano, tenor etc.) If I have a range from G below Middle C to F 1.5 octaves above middle C, What do I tell them?

You tell them that you are an alto and describe your range. To be more specific, say your range is from G3-F5. Good luck with your audition!

I noticed that one of the users here wrote that a mezzo-soprano and an alto is the same thing. This is completely wrong and if you write that on your info sheet for the audition, the director will think you don't know much about music. A typical alto has a range from F3-F5 (or the F below Middle C to the F two octaves higher). A typical mezzo-soprano has a range from F3-B5. Almost all altos sing in a chest voice, and most mezzo-sopranos sing in a falsetto. An alto in Broadway is more like Velma Kelly from Chicago, Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz, and Sally Bowles from Cabaret (by the way, there is a movie for all three musicals, so if you don't know what I mean you can watch it). A mezzo-soprano in Broadway is more like Idina Menzel from Wicked and Rent and, to get more classical, Cosette from Les Miserables.

They scream from their throats instead of the diaphragm, in a falsetto and squeeze their vocal cords very tightly. If you want to learn, I think ehow.com would probably tell you

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. You know, race is very insignificant. There are just human beings who live in different parts of the planet, and the color of their skin simply adapts to the climate. People put way more emphasis on race than they should. ok so im on my period...funfun...and my tummy hurts like never before...what are somethings/anything i can do/take to feel better? 13/f if that helps?(not my first time also)

Here's what I do when it becomes unbearable:

1. Don't drink anything cold. KEEP YOURSELF WARM.
2. Drink hot water with brown sugar. It works wonders. It's remedy that my mom taught me.
3. Sit under an electric blanket. Take two tablets of Ibuprofen, Tylenol or Advil. Make sure that you're not on an empty stomach before you take the pills though, or your stomach won't take it and you'll vomit.
4. Take a hot shower. Don't take a bath because dirty water will enter your vagina, and that's no good.
5. Place a heating pad on your tummy and lie down

alright, so i moved into my new school last year (7th grade) and i didnt start of with a good reputation, because i was the new girl. but now a year later i have a very good reputation. i mean, i am friends with the populair people, i cant compiments, and people always say they want to be me.
there is this kid in one of my classes, and i have gotten a very big crush on him. he is nice, sweet, and very cute. i did some asking around and i have found he is a loser. like .. dork kid. hanging out with other dorks.
i think dating him might effect my reputation, but should i go for him anyways?

It will affect your reputation to an extent, but everything has a bad side to it. You can lose some popularity, but you'll still have friends and all. You shouldn't not go out with someone solely because they're a "loser." Dorkiness is in the eye of the beholder. Just because he's not too popular doesn't mean anything. And reputations come and go. Who knows---in a few years he could be that popular hot guy that everyone wants, but he won't go out with you because you judged him a while back.

Relax. You've still got plenty of time. Girls get their period between the age of 9 and 16. First off, it's height, not weight, that counts. Unless the person is going to be short, most people get their period after they've done some significant growing, since you only grow a few inches after you start you period. There's nothing that you can do about it right now. Be glad that you have growing time! I started when I was 11 and I'm 5"2. And having your period is a real pain. You get these awful cramps, you feel physically and emotionally yucky. There's a small pleasure about having you period, knowing that you're "mature" and all, but it's really not worth all the misery. Be happy that you get to wait a while
