Have you done anything different during this period? I know it may hurt, but the best thing to do is to stay active. Did you know that by running or doing some sort of physical activity will actually help your cramps and pains go away? Medicine might help, but my advice is just to stay active and go out like usual. I hope I helped.

Mackenzie answered Friday December 23 2005, 5:32 pm:
You have many options here: It's well known that regular physical activity helps reduce the cramping in some women, so there's an idea. You could also try taking a warm bath and using aromatherapy. Applying a heating pad on your lower abdomen or back should do wonders. If you don't have a heating pad, you can make one by simply filling a sock with rice and heating it in the microwave for a few minutes [must sound silly, but if the cramps get bad enough, it just might be worth it]. Also, many women start taking pills around the clock from the time their cycle starts, until it ends. Any pain killer will do, but I reccommend Ibuprofen, Extra Strength Advil or Midol -- it's also best to take medication will a meal, that way the risk of stomach discomfort is slimmed. [:

A hotwater bottle (wrapped in a towel) works, the warmth easer cramps and pain.
also a nice relaxing bath will ease muscle pain too.
i swear by hot water bottles though, just make sure you dont burn yourself, wrap it up very well x

i know how you feel i am feeling the same way as i am writing this, but anywho if you do things like exercise or walk around while you have your period it helps make them a lot less painful. Because i always have really bad cramps also if you are on birth control that helps as well, and Midol. hope i helped

Teza answered Wednesday December 21 2005, 8:49 pm:
In my opinion, I don't think that Midol or Advil will help. It's normal to get cramps but you just need to relax. When I get cramps, they're HORRIBLE!! Well when I do have them, I take something warm and keep it on my stomach. It helpes me so much. If you don't know what to put, just go take a bath. Relax with lots of bubbles. :D Drink a lot of water!! In health class, our teacher told us girls to drink milk when he have cramps. It helped me out once but I have no idea how.

Hey i always listen to music to not think about it.What you could do is put a heating pad on your stomach or get in the shower and let the hot water run on it. that works for me ! I would take some Midol or Ibuprofen also.

Cheer up its only 7 days !

Here's what I do when it becomes unbearable:

1. Don't drink anything cold. KEEP YOURSELF WARM.
2. Drink hot water with brown sugar. It works wonders. It's remedy that my mom taught me.
3. Sit under an electric blanket. Take two tablets of Ibuprofen, Tylenol or Advil. Make sure that you're not on an empty stomach before you take the pills though, or your stomach won't take it and you'll vomit.
4. Take a hot shower. Don't take a bath because dirty water will enter your vagina, and that's no good.
5. Place a heating pad on your tummy and lie down
