I was wondering if asking the price of someone's wedding dress is considered rude, as in to most people. I asked one of my friend how much her sister's wedding dress cost while we were watching "say yes to the dress" and she said she can't tell me because it's personal. I honestly don't get how it's personal but then that's just my opinion, if she asked me, I would've told her. So do most people consider it rude or is it just my friend who thinks that?

I met a guy through online dating a few weeks back. We really hit it off. He only lives a few miles away from me and shares almost all of the same interests. He also seems extremely sweet! But, as far as I can tell, he's normal and sweet. How do I tell them?

I met my now Fiance online, his family still don't know how we met (and we've been together for 7 years), I think they just think it was through a mutual friend.

If you really like him, arrange to meet him in a public place like a bar, somewhere with alot of people, (and don't go onto anywhere private afterwards, like his home.) and tell a friend where you are, what time you'll be meeting him, his name, profile details, when to expect you back etc (you can call when you are safe home).
(make sure someone knows, just to be safe).

Then after 3 or 4 dates if you think it's going somewhere you can tell your parents you've met someone. You don't have to give exact details if you don't feel comfortable yet.

so im a 16 and i honestly think im depressed. Ive been thru alot of bad times starting with my mom passing away and i feel everything just keeps piling up. Dont take this as a teenager just trying to get happy pills but i honestly think im depressed. So the question is who would i go to to see if im actually depressed and if so what would happen then. Of course a doctor will help you, that should be your first step.
Your doctor will be able to help you and advice you and a way that is suitable for you personally.
They may think councelling is the key, they may not. They may perscribe medication, something suitable to fit your needs, you shouldnt be taking off the shelf stuff without a doctors advice.

Depression is a serious illness , you NEED appropiate help and advice from a proffessional in order to get better and feel happy again, and not to let it get to the stage where it goes too deep as it will be even harder to treat (I know, ive had it for 10 years and my life has been a mess, so unwell with it, please dont let it get that far before you do something about it.)

You don't have to explain it to him, When your having sex it doesn't have to be just slow or rough, it can start slow and then get harder and rougher.

I was talking to a few girls from the year above me and they were kind of giving me a heads-up on what to expect next year at school. We were discussing some projects that I will be required to do, most likely, and I had this idea for one.

I made the horrible mistake of having sex, the even worse mistake was we didn't use a condom. He told me he'd pull out, but didn't. He said it was just too hard to stop. Asshole, I know.

My last period started July 6th, and ended around the 12th-13th. I think the 12th. I have about a 24-26 day cycle. Would I be ovulating right now? I think I'm supposed to be today or within the next couple of days.

Also, I heard sperm lives inside of you ffor 3-5 days, and I think I'll be ovulating within that time but I'm not sure. Is it true that it lives inside of you for 3-5 days, and even if I wasn't ovulating today when it happened, if I am within those 3-5 days, could I get pregnant?

Basically, I'd really appreciate it if you could answer these questions for me:

1. Am I ovulating today or within the next few days?
2. Is it true it lives inside of me for 3-5 days?
3. If I start ovulating within that time, can I become pregnant?
4. Are the chances that I'm pregnant low or high?

3. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for the sperm to get to the egg, i've read alot of different figures, but most say within 3 hours.

Go to your GP, or your chemist, and get some advice. You'll need a pregnancy test but they will be able to advise you on what to do next.

They can be expernsive but worth it, especially given your age and how much yu hate men looking at you like that.

People who lose their virginitys to boyfriends/girlfriends ect when they are in love dont tend to regret it.

Yes, you have to talk to him about this before he goes because he is the only person that can give you the answers you need.
No one here or non of your friends can tell you why he didn't say anything to you, or if he was ever going to tell you.
It could be that he thought you knew already from other friends, or he doesn't want to make a big deal about it.
Either way, just talk to him about it, not in an angry way because its not personal, just in a casual way.

If you two don't talk much then he may not even be upset if you break up, he may be feeling just a wierd about the relationship as you do.

Please don't do as the last person said, ie write him a note or get a friend to do it for you. I got my friend to break up with someone for me when i was your age (we didnt speak either cos i didnt like him that much) and it really hurt him.

So, ask to talk to him on his own, sit down and just tell him that you would like to just go (back) to being being friends again as you don't feel that the relationship between you is working and it just doesnt feel right.

That way, he knows it's the relationship thats not feeling right, and that it's nothing to do with him as a person.

look, all my friends cut them selfs all the time right, and i have always known it was wrong!
but one day i was so very low and the only thing i could think of doing was cut myself, i did not use a knife or anything that sharp for that matter and the cut was not that deep,i thought it would heal soon after i did it,

It's a good website because you can find the therapist that is right for you, ie someone who specialises in anxiety, eating disprders ect

In my personal opinion, I have preferred the therapists i have found privately to NHS ones, but I would never rule out speaking to my GP first.

Your GP will be able to refer you to someone, but if you are wanting to go private then BACP has been the best for myself.

k this mite come off as a lil weird, but i was just thinking about you know, how everyone says having sex on your period is disgusting and all .. well what if your saving yourself till marriage but your on your period your wedding night!! how AWFUL that would be =( like do you plan your wedding around your period?? wat if your early or smthn .. planning that far ahead being early or late a few times could mess it all up .. that would just be awful!! how are you supposed to make sure that doesnt happen??

Your Doctor can give you the pill which will stop your period.
It's very common for women to go to the doctors and ask for it to be stopped when they are getting married so they aren't on for their honeymoon.
