Do you ever read a question, roll your eyes and think, "Yeah right, somebody so just made that up"?
If so, what do you do about it? Just not answer or answer it seriously anyways just 'cause it might be real?

When I see questions that I think are fake I always look to see how other columnists answered them. If at least one columnist answered it seriously and at least one let the person know that it sounded really fake in a nice way then I skip it. If only one or neither of these things happened I will do both. I'll answer the question myself, seriously, and suggest to the person that they need to try to make their questions sound more serious so that more people will answer them and they can get the advice that they need. Even if the question is fake it may help somebody. Some people are too embarassed to ask questions because even though their identity is unknown, they still have to put their pride on the line. More often than not people laugh at and pick on people that ask "dumb" questions. I hope I helped :)

If I think that a question is fake I most of the time don't answer it but sometimes I answer it anways because there is always a chance of it being true.

Well a lot of times I dont. Usually i'm like "Wow some kid is either making it up, or he/she is really dumb" Haha, I know, mean. But most of the time I dont think anything of it, I just give advice.

Yes I do.
But, a lot of people in my experience are really that dumb.
So, unless it is totally something unanswerable I treat it as I would any other question and try to answer it seriously. :)

Unless I can be 100% sure that it is fake, then I skip it. Otherwise, I just answer everything. Why? Well why not. It could give insight to someone who was browsing; offer a different perspective to others who were going to answer; give the person who asked something to think about. I hope this isn't one of those fake ones =). haha jk

::sigh:: I know, there are morons on this site. If you see one of those, just don't answer it period, roll your eyes and say to yourself "I wonder what rock your crawled out from under." If you're a moderator, rate down the question. If not, just try not to give it much thought. Naimee is absolutely right: they'll just give you a 1 because they're stupid. Why bother lower your columnist rating on an idiot?

I agree with Krissy, if you're 100% sure that it's fake don't answer it, but if you have doubts, answer it just in case.

The best thing to do about it, is just ignore it. Nobody will answer it and they'll just feel stupid.

Definately. I'm sure everybody feels the same way. Personally, I just don't answer them, because if you did end up answering it, they'd probably give you a low rating, just because their stupid. :)

I do that a lot actually. But there's some questions that are 100% fake and those should not be answered. If you think a question is fake, but not really sure, just answer it. You never know, it could be real. ♥
