A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):
1. If you Google song lyrics, the song will come up 99% of the time.
2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.
4. There is such a thing as a stupid question, but we're all allowed to ask them.

As long as her bingo playing is preventing her form seeing her grandkids, let it go. Bingo's probably her time to see her friends. Senior citizens DO have lives, yaknow ;)

Dress to impress, but not slutty. If you wear a miniskirt, don't wear a super-short top with it. Balance the skirt with a long top, and layer so you're not showing too much =] Be yourself, and flirt a lot. Smile, touch his arm once in awhile, etc.

I recently got very, very drunk and hooked up with my good friend's ex boyfriend. I am pretty sure he likes me as more than a friend and know he wants to go "further" with me. I'm seeing him twice this weekend, I'm going to be under the influence both of those times but am not sure what to do. I like him back, as a crush.

My friend got really angry when I hooked up with her ex (they only dated for a week), which I understand but I can't help how I feel for this guy. Should I just not see him, or should I do things behind my friends back? The answer seems obvious but it doesn't feel obvious because I recently got into a huge fight with that friend and I don't know what to do. Please help!

They dated for a week. It's not like they were in a two-year relationship and she's emotionally destroyed by the breakup. Ask her why she's so upset by the idea of you dating her ex- was he a total jerk, or is she just overly jealous? If she's your good friend, she may be trying to save you from dating a loser.


Also, what was that fight over? Is it really worth losing a friend for a guy you may date for a week, too?


If you decide NOT to pursue this guy any further, it'll be in your best interest to not be so drunk when you see him twice this weekend. It'll be easier for you to get your feelings straight when you're THINKING straight.

It depends on the person. Some people lose weight, some people gain weight (but it's usually temporary and just a result of retaining water). Like I said before, it's different for everyone.


Plus, if you're a teenager, you're still developing anyways, so they were probably gonna grow anyways!

what happened in the episode that he got shot? that made the pain go away?

Okay. So this guy whose wife was House's patient came to the hospital and shot House. He wanted revenge because when his wife was sick, he confessed to House that he had an affair. Her disease had nothing to do with the fact that her husband cheated on her (because she didn't have an STD) but he told her anyway that her husband cheated on her. She killed herself.


So the guy came and shot House. When he went in for surgery (because he was shot) Cuddy gave him ketamine, which induces a coma, instead of the usual anesthesia. She had read that in half of all chronic pain sufferers, it allowed the brain to "reboot" itself and eliminated all pain. Side effects were hallucinations (and that episode was all a hallucinaton, and he chose to have ketamine anyways) so for a while, he was without pain. He was jogging to work, walking without a cane, everything. But the pain eventually came back. This was all the beginning od season three.

Also, basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts. He needed an indoor game that could be played bya few people in a short amount of time.


Oh, and if you're truly pressed for time, ask your teacher for a time extension. Explain that you were busy with church all weekend. A letter from a parent helps a lot. Especially if your teacher is stubborn :)

Hi I'm 16 female and I am in my friends quince in two weeks and my dress fits, but is a little too snug in the mid section and I want to know if you have any suggestions as to what will help loose a litttle more in that area?

Cut out ALL soda & junk food. Don't crash-diet, but sort of. A kind of heath food binge, you might say. Drink a lot of water so you don't gain water weight. Also, if you wear the dress a couple hours before you have to leave for the event & twist around/bend a lot, the fabric will stretch a bit and make the dress less restricting.


You could also take the dress to a tailor and see if it can be let out a little bit in the midsection area.

oooh babeh. I love this show with an undying passion.


Basically, he had a heart attack, but in his leg. It took them three days to find the clot, and a lot of the muscle in his leg died. It's one of the most painful things to experience. Cuddy was his doctor, and his live-in girlfriend (Stacey) wanted him to amputate. He wanted to keep his leg. They removed the clot, but the pain didn't get any better. House asked to be put into a chemically-induced coma to sleep off the pain, and when he was under, Stacey was his medical proxy and chose to have the dead muscle removed. It was a middle ground - he kept the leg, but the dead cells were removed.


Watch the episode "Diagnose a Leg" (or whatever it's called) from Season two. It explains everything. Oh yea, did you see the episode where he got shot and Cuddy gave him Ketamine? That one showed how his pain was lessened for a while. Inbox me if you haven't seen it. I lovelovelove talking about this show.

inside my purse on the fabric there's a big mark by a black marker i made by accident. What can i use to wash it off?

Soap. Or OxyClean. Turn your purse inside-out as best you can, and use warm water to wash the stain off. Use a blowdryer to dry out the lining (this is especially important if you couldnt turn it inside out) and let it air-dry for a couple days before you put anything in it.


If it doesn't come out entirely, it's not the end of the world. It's the INSIDE, yay! Nobody's gonan walk up to you, turn your purse inside out and say HAHAHAH! black marker! If they do, they are probably an escapee of the local mental hospital.

I need two for each service, leadership, citizenship, and character. I need to hand this in by May 4th [next Friday.] What can I do until then? So far I have babysit, student council, and donations from the tsunami.

Volunteer a few hours of time at your local food bank. They're always looking for help. [citizenship; you're helping everyone in your town]


For leadership, talk to your guidance counselor and ask her what kind of problems your classmates are having. Maybe you could start a program at your school?

When I turn my computer on and go onto the main account, the icons don't show up on my desktop. The start menu is there and the basic volume, aim, yahoo, virus scanner, etc. icons that are near the time, but the main icons are not. Its not a loading thing because it happened last night and today. We restarted and shut it down a few times, same problem. Our second account works perfectly fine and has the icons, but our main account does not. No one messed with it either. Did anyone have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Right-click on the desktop. Go to "Arrange Icons By" and make sure that "Show Desktop Icons" has a check mark next to it.


Beyond that, I'm not sure what it could be. Probably a virus or spyware. If theymos doesn't answer this question (and he probably will) ask him directly to his inbox. He knows more about computers than most people.

Ok well Today is monday and I didnt say hi to him! I had alot of chances to also! Wich is right now making me think back on the past wich kinda sucks because I cant do anything now. Like I was (for once) Walking by myself up the street and then I saw him walking down like coming toward me. And I was like 'Oh my gosh! Do I say hi?' And I was about to smile wheen I was right next to him (He was walking with his friend) And then I just looked at him and he looked at me and I quickly broke the gaze because I felt myself blushing. So I kept walking looking at the floor. So I kept wlaking and I saw my friend Mike. And I was like "Oh my gosh i just saw BB!" And he was like "Ok then walk down to the store with me" And I was like "Ok but promise me you wont talk to him!" And then hes like "Unlike you, my world does not revolve around BB" I was like "Ok good." And then on our way I saw BB and his friend again (He was up the street walking down and I was already down). I looked at him and he looked at me. Then I left my friend Mike at the store and I left. And then I see BB and his friend in the park. Wich I was about to walk across the street by. And then I look at him, he looks at me (Again!), (You see what I mean by all the chances?). So then his friend was kinda by me and he was like "(BB's name! and BB's friends name) And they both turned around. Then BB looked at his friend And of course I was gazing at him because I was out of his view but he was still in mine. And then he see's me. I feel so bad for not saying hi.

Aw, don't feel bad. It's not the end of the world. Not even close :)

You'll see him at school tomorrow, right? Say hi to him then. If he brings up seeing you eight million times in one day, say something like "oh yea, I saw you but by the time I thought to say hi, you were gone again". He'll likely just shrug it off. Don't be so hard on yourself about not saying hello- you've got plenty of other opportunites. Just break the ice- conversation will follow. Talk about anything you've got in common & it'll be great.
