Sabine answered Tuesday May 1 2007, 8:30 pm: Okay, seriously, playing bingo can be a problem for seniors, and not even just to the extent that it keeps them from doting on grandchildren. There are fees involved and sometimes people can get a bad gambling habit and can spend more money than they should and play until it's unhealthy. Gambling can even be a side-effect of medication for diseases like Parkinson's.
What needs to happen is that someone needs to take your grandmother to the doctor to discuss her gambling problem and her behavior. The doctor can help figure out whether it's a medical issue and whether something can be done about it.

Oh yeah, definitely get her some help if she's selling pot out of her car to support her playing habits. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
