Hey I know this may sound stupid but why is it that guys don't usually put their photos on their advice column?

I never noticed that it was a guy thing. I'm a girl, and I don't put my photo on my column. My cat, yes, but he's an exhibitionist. For me, it's just because advicenators is a little too public when it comes to photos. I have my pictures on my facebook, where I can friends-lock them, but I don't like the idea of just anybody saving a picture of me and using it for...whatever they want. I imagine it's the same for any guys who don't post their picture.

So, my best friend and I were hanging out the other day. He asked if I thought my sister had had sex with her boyfriend. I said "yes" and he called her a slut. He might have been joking, I'm not sure. So I was pissed (justifyibly, yes?). I was talking to my sisters boyfriend, and he mentioned him. I said "yeah I'm not very happy with him right now" and he said "why" and after much persuasion, and a threat to punch him in the face, I told him exactly why. Now my best friend is denying it, and not letting me explain. Who's at fault? Is it me, for telling Brandon, or my friend, for calling my sister a slut, or is it mine for telling him yes in the first place?

Should I just ignore him and let him come around, or should I call him/go to his house/write him a note/etc? I love him to death, and I have about 7 hours worth of comics at his house, if that makes any difference.

Since you know him so well, you probably could have predicted that reaction. Then again, maybe not (as Lumiere would say). Your reaction is definitely justified! I can't stand the word "slut". Joking or not, it's beyond offensive. Talk to him face to face. You gotta say to him that you won't take that--no matter what his opinion is, she's your sister and you're not going to just let him insult her! You shouldn't, anyway. I don't think he's going to come around unless you make sure he knows you have a problem with it.

(And if you will permit me to insult your best friend, he's a pussy for denying it. Forgive me if that was out of line.)

hello i would really love a dog because i love animals and have always wanted a dog. My dad loves dogs but the problem is that we have 2 cats, is thier anyway we can teach them or get a special type of dog?

When you bring a new animal into your house, they are NOT going to get along with the old animals. They'll hate each other for a few weeks, and after that they'll still be pretty edgy, but it should calm down eventually. You should get a smaller breed, because large dogs can kill cats. Also, if you're up to it, get a puppy. That way, the dog will atleast grow up used to the cats.

I highly reccommend not getting a Chihuahua, but that's just one girl's opinion.

Do all shirts shrink in the wash?? If so how do you stop it?

They shoudn't. Many shirts shrink in the dryer, however. Check the washing instructions on the label, it should say whether or not you should put it in the dryer. If not, hang it up to dry. If it says that it can be dried, but still shrinks, go to a different shirt store, because that is a ripoff.

i have this big absetion with serial killers. i like to read about them and sometimes i even think about writting to them. is this normal? i am especially fasinated about richard ramirez. however now that i am reading about them i am always jumpy and i like readin the facts about them.

Totally normal. Who do you think writes books about serial killers? People who are interested in them, of course! And detectives have to know all about that kind of thing. Maybe you'll be a detective.

(It's "obsession", though. Sorry for nitpicking, but that's what I do.)

i just got a mp3 player and i downloaded limewire. but i dont know how to get the music on downloaded to my limewire library to my mp3 player. how do i get the music from limewire to my mp3 player? step by step would really help. thanks a lot

Don't worry, it's simple! When you plug in your mp3 player, it should allow you to open a folder for your songs. If not, go to My Computer, select your mp3 player, and drag the files from wherever you saved them into the player. For mine, there is another folder within the player called AUDIBLE, and I have to put the songs in there, but for my old one I didn't have to do that. It varies with the type of player. And if you have an ipod, well, that's a whole different story.

Well I met this guy at the dog park. He's incredible, and we totally hit it off. Then, this afternoon, we made plans to meet again, and we did, and though we didn't talk as much (there were other people there we were talking to) I had an incredible time. He's one of my myspace friends, should I message him and tell him I had fun, or would that be wierd? Should I wait a while? How long should I wait to see if he wants to hang out again?

Also I'm 18 and he's 24, do you think he'll think I'm too young? Ah this is so crazy I'm so infatuated with him.

My school requires me to fulfill 24 community hours. I have only 3 and the hours are due by the end of January, but I don't know what to do for them. I got the three hours from camp, but it was from pulling weeds. PS it needs to be supervised like I can't go to the beach myself without anyone and clean it up and put that, it has to be through some function or organization

so basically what is a way to get more communtiy serivice hours I was thinking of an animal shelter but I'm too young for that.

okay, so i'm one of those girls that has a lot of guy friends. Well, one of my guy friends likes me, but i don't like him. i've told him that, but he constantly hugs me, puts his arm around me, etc. i try to be nice and just shrug it off, but it keeps happening. You say if you speak up it will be awkward, but isn't it awkward already? The only way to stop this is to tell him. You have to set boundaries. You don't like him touching you in that way, and you need to make sure he knows that. If you continue to be nice about it, he's only going to think that you want him to do it. Telling him flat out is the only way to get it through his head.

Alright, I know that this is probably illegal but can you download the sims 2 on something like limewire, kazaa, etc? I have the game but my friend has the CD you need to put in to play. I heard you type in The sims 2 cd crack but i tried that and it was in french. any ideas?

Christmas is coming up. If you don't have the money to buy it yourself, put it on your wishlist. Seriously. You don't want to download an illegal copy--you have no idea if it's been tampered with! Buying the game is better than risking viruses. Oh, and not to mention the whole illegal thing.

The female reproductive system goes through a cycle. Every month, an egg gets ready to be fertilized, and goes from the ovary to the fallopian tube. If the woman has sex during this time, and a sperm reaches the egg, it is fertilized and she becomes pregnant. If not, she has her period. So basically, a woman can become pregnant a few days or a week or so before her period. There is no set time for this, it happens differently for everyone.

It's not really a question of "normal". It's a choice that you make. Personally, I think you are too young and two months is not a commited relationship. Also, having sex with other guys is DANGEROUS. If you continue, you WILL get hurt. Since you asked what you should do, the answer is STOP. As soon as possible, before it's too late. i use to be really fat last year at school mostly my thighs,arms,stomach. i lost weight when i went back this year but i dont know how.. i didnt diet at all,but i exercised a little alot of people that i knew from the previous year complimented me on how good i look,the guy that i like even noticed me more,but im gaining weight and i dont know why,i still eat and exercise like i did when i lost it.how do i loose it?

Since you've been exercising, it's possible that it's just muscle. If you feel good about yourself, that's really all that matters. Also, at your age, a lot of things change rapidly, and your weight might be a little unstable. Have you gotten your period yet? That may have something to do with it. Don't stress about it too much. If it gets bad, see a doctor, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Not if it was just a friendly kiss. However, you should talk to your boyfriend/girlfriend and make sure they know that that's what it is, and that they're okay with that. If they're not comfortable with you kissing other people, you should stop doing it...or break up. Whichever makes you happy.

It means that you and the person you love can overcome just about anything, as long as you love each other. If you're extremely rich and the other person is extremely poor, and your family has a problem with that, it doesn't matter because YOU LOVE EACH OTHER. If you're both the same gender living in a homophobic world, nothing anyone says can change the fact that you love each other. And if you don't speak the same language, you still have the language of your hearts. That sounds so sappy. But that's basically what it means. Love is love. =)

The other day, I posted something, about my friend hurting my feelings. But, I hardly went into ANY detail. So, now that I feel a little better, I'll go into some serious detail.
-I go to a rich snobby catholic school. Which means, every girl in there, is super mean.
-Even like the loser girls, arn't even nice, no one is.
-We don't do anything in our school, like dances & junk. [ another good reason to leave. i like schools that have activities & stuff, yeah i'm weird..]
-i may hang out with the popular group in school, but i'd rather have no friends at all.
If you were at my school, you'd understand. You can't walk away from your lunch table, without worrying their talking about you.
-Their all SUPER boring. The only way they have fun, is if their picking on someone else.
-None of the guys like us, because they think were all bitches. so, therefore you can't even have crushes on guys & stuff [ they may sound like a retarded reason to switch schools.. but come on, think about it.]
-Theirs only one girl who i actually like. But, sometimes.. she even gets on my nerves, because shes kinda a slut.

So, thats my school. I got in a big fight with my 'best friend' yesterday, I was saying how I was just thinking, only THINKING about switching schools. & shes like why? & i was like.. well its not like you talk to me alot anymore & stuff. [ Yeah, sounds like a stupid reason to leave.. not. Shes one of the few real friends i have.] & she got all defensive saying no im not, oh my god! & stuff.. so then, she got one of the MEANEST girls in the grade involved. & the girl ended up screaming at me & everything. So, i ended up leaving, & i cried myself for sleep, for two hours.

You shouldn't. If you want to leave and your parents are on board with that, you should leave. Your friend is being very immature. Tell her flat out that it's your decision, and that it really doesn't change anything. You can still be friends with someone you don't go to school with. If she still has a problem with it, then I'm sorry but she is not much of a friend. Do what's right for you. As for the other girl, well, you won't have to deal with her once you're out of there.

Calendars. Everybody is going to need one after Christmas, and there are so many to choose from. You can get cat calendars, hot girl calendars, and nun calendars! Everybody loves them. Well...I love them. I'm pretty sure other people do, too.

But if you don't want to get calendars for everybody, try books, bathrobes, alarm clocks, stuffed animals, jewlery, cologne, stickers, slinkies, stationary sets...think about what the person likes! It's very easy once you get going.
