Today was my first time doing the splits.
The first time i did it nothing happened
but the second and third time i did it
there was a very big popping/crunching sound.
Now it feels like my thighs need to be popped.
Did i do something wrong?

Hi there,
Any time you hear/feel crunching where there wasn't crunching, it is time to go to the doctor. There are no exceptions to this rule.
I understand you might be afraid to find out how badly you might have damaged yourself, but the sooner you get checked out the less damage there is likely to be.
I am not a doctor, by any means, but in my own personal experiences I can say that I have never seen a dislocated, shattered, chipped or fractured anything get better from being ignored.
Please go to the doctor. Get x-rayed or whatever they suggest, and get yourself taken care of. You are too young to end up crippled from something so silly not being taken care of in time.
Please let me know what happens when you leave feedback.

Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii is, unfortunately, now becoming famous for the lyrics and menu texts being too small unless tiy have a large HDTV and are using component video cables. :-(

Thing is, I've posted this question on there twice, in two different boards since I wasn't sure whether it was an extension or a template error, yet I have not gotten any responses on either topic.
I did enable Legacy Mode before adding older templates and extensions, yet I still receive the error for some reason.
I don't really know what's causing the problem.
Is there anyway to just start from scratch, importing all of my Joomla articles and such to a "refreshed" version of Joomla?

In theory you should be able to use the backup database feature of Joomla to export your Joomla database, then install a nice fresh virginal copy of Joomla. From here you would import the data into the fresh Joomla install.
As for why you might not have gotten responses on the Joomla support forum: It is possible that the question has been answered several hundred times already. I assumed you would read any try the previous soltions before posting a question. You probably did, so I don't know what else to say about the Joomla forums except I am a little dissapointed.
Before you do the re-install, here is a thought: How about switching just the template back to the original Joomla template, if you haven't already done this?

well today what happened is that my teacher read my poem and what happened is that she would not let me read my poem to a fourth grader but she said that it was good like as a rant poem but what i said to her was that i think that kids should know what other people say about them and if i have to fix it then i am not going to read it and the thing that i need advice for is if i should have handeled it diffrentley (link)

Since you haven't told us why the teacher wanted it changed, there isn't much for people to suggest.
The important thing to remember is that the teacher is in charge, and what she says is how things are going to be. With tht in mind, your choices are: Read the poem with changes, don't read the poem at all or file a complaint against the teacher for her unfair, in your mind, treatment of your artistic work.
It is important not to file a complaint that says: "why are people mean" ... without so much as a question mark. Her not letting you do something which she feels will harm younger children is within her right and her duty as a responsible teacher. This isn't her being mean.
Calling someone mean when they aren't, is a petty, juvenile attempt to get your way. Most folks grow out of this when they are toddlers, if their parents are smart enough to break them of it, so if you approach the school board with that as your case they will probably laugh at you, and that would be... mean.
Would have been nice if you would have told us what she wanted changed, or why. If you want more helpful responses from people, perhaps you Could add additional info to your question?

Ok, well, i've only noticed this when I go to advicenators, but that's really the only time I've checked. Whenever i'm on, sometimes I click the "back" button and it takes FOREVER. So, the other day I went to the dropdown thing next to the "back" button and it showed on my history about 6 pages of something called "mystabcounter". I have no idea what it is or how it got on my history, but is it bad? how do I get rid of it? Nothing that I have noticed has been going wrong with my computer but I dunno what it does. Thanks! I keep receiving a "Direct Access to this location is not allowed" error whenever I try going onto my Joomla website, as well as attempting to go onto my Joomla administrator.
However, I heard that you have to edit the index.php file, or something like that, but I'm not sure what you have to change.
What should I do?

Hi there,
This is a very common problem with Joomla users, and is usually the result of a template that isn't compatible with the current version, in combination with the Joomla user not running in legacy mode to support the older template, extension, module or whatever is causing the ruckus.

Without going through your template code line by line, this could be very hard for someone to solve. The experts on the Joomla support forum are you new best friends.
Joomla can be a real monster when you are just starting out, but I have one helpful piece of advice that goes for any script: Install the stock version with the stock Joomla template and see if it works. If it does, then that is fine and you know it isn't server related.

So let's say we had an account on here a VERY long time ago... one which we don't remember the password to. Let's say the column for that account contains information about us we no longer want VIEWABLE TO JUST ANYONE because we wrote it all when we were young and stupid (12, 13-ish) and thought it was so cool that we could post whatever we wanted. BUT, as previously mentioned, we don't remember the password AND the email account for it is LONG gone. Is there any possible way we can have that column taken down? (link)

Your best bet would be to call your local dance schools and ask them where you can buy one locally, due to your hurry for a tutu.
Any seamstress could easily make you what you want in a tutu, if she had the tutu fabric you wanted on hand.
Any local school that teaches ballet would be a good start.

... Now, a word about PVC, which this is, It is hot, sticky and miserable to where, just like latex rubber bunny costumes, without the really awesome fit of a latex bunny outfit.
If you are built better than the model in the picture here, then you will probably like the way you look in it, but if there is any doubt that you will be able to really fill this out to the point of stretching, don't order it. Baggy PVC looks like someone tied a trash bag around you. :-(
Just a word of caution. I know a costumer or three, and have seen the "trash bag" look. It isn't sexy.

I looked through this, and after reviewing the Common Application website and it's ease of use for filling out college admissions forms en masse... I have to ask: Why in the world would you want to do this on paper when you can do it on-line?
Consider this: When they get your paper form, what are they going to do with it? Put it into the computer, just as if you had filled it out on-line, as best I can tell. So, do you really want some person doing data entry to screw up your college admissions papers for you, and ruin your chances to get into hundreds of universities at once?
Just a thought. :-)

Hi. I am shopping for a new computer. I was extremly happy with my dell inspiron 530 I just purchesed for my family a few moths ago.
However, i need a personnal computer and would like anothor dell. I went to the flea market, and a guy was willing to sell me a good computer for 300$. it was an older dell model with newer parts. I trust the store since my cousin worked there. Anyway, I needed help in my decision on weather i should purchase from dell directly or through the company i found.
It mainly comes down to the processer because I know about ram and the other components.
He is offering an intel p4 3.2GHZ(which he claims is faster then the dell one)
Dell is offering a Intel® Celeron ® Processor 450 (2.2GHz, 800 FSB)
I trust the company, but he is a sales person after all.

This is harder than it looks. You are dealing with two processors which are single core. My advice is not to buy a single core processor if you can avoid it.
Between the two you have listed, though:
Yes, the 3.2Ghz p4 has more clock cycles per second, but the actual architecture of the chip is slower. This means that the newer, slower chip is capable of doing more with each clock cycle, so it needs less of them per second to accomplish the same or MORE work.
For some reason, benchmarks for this processor were VERY hard for me to find. This is as close as I could get:

... The comparison leans heavily in favor of the celeron 440 here, and while Intel Celeron 450 benchmarks are what we wanted, this is close enough to show the general idea.
This is the part where I try and convince you to go dual core. ;-)
I looked at the Dell 530, and at today's prices, it will cost you $60 to step up to a dual-core processor. This is very much worth it. Even if you feel like you don't do all that much with the machine, everything you actually DO will be noticeably faster.
I guess it all comes down to this: If you asked me which one I would buy... I would say neither. If you pressed me, and made it theoretical where these were the last two PCs on earth, I would pick the celeron 450 because of the Conroe-L core's increased efficiency.
Buying single core these days doesn't make sense, since apps are only getting more complex and bloated as we go. Running Windows Vista on a single core CPU is an experiment in terror if you really want to use the machine for anything serious. Unless the extra money is going to break you, there is just no reason to put yourself through single-coredom(tm) anymore.
Please consider going with the Dell 530 upgraded to the dual core CPU, or the Dell 518 which comes with a dual core CPU in the base configuration. Either way is about $60, and I promise it is worth the difference.

I've played through almost the entire game without a hitch, and now I'm stumped on a single room that's driving me crazy. It's in the section Subjugation- Crystal Temple, Room I? It's the one that's full of poison gas, and supposedly you're supposed to use Meeth's healing pot to keep everyone's HP from disappearing from the poison gas, while using everyone else to defeat enemies in order to get a key and unlock a path that turns off the poison- then use Meeth's flying pot to sail on out of the room.
Sounds simple enough, right? I've done my research; I looked it up in my (previously rarely used) walkthrough book, then I looked it up on the IGN walkthrough just to be sure. The problem is, it's not even close to working for me. When I first walk into the room, there's gas, and I go to use the healing pot to keep poison-free. Then I walk down the stairs, fighting enemies as I go, then I do a U-turn at the bottom of the steps, and fight more enemies down that corridor. When I get to the end (at the part underneath the overhanging with the healing pot tile) I see a key; yay! Then, I go back down that corridor, and continue on to the second half of the room so I can put the key in the keystand, but -- nope. I can't do that, because there's a massive metal cage-like barrier in my way! I can't go over it, I can't push it, I can't pull it- I sure as hell can't go under it or through it- it's just there. And I can't do anything. D:
I have angsted over this dilemma for almost a week now; it's absolutely driving me insane. I haven't turned my DS off in that amount of time, either- I've simply had it closed and charging, because I keep thinking I may be able to figure it out, and I don't want to go back and do all of that temple that I've already done over again (especially since, ironically, the next room is a save room). I really really love this game, and I really really want to finish it- please, someone help me figure this stupid problem out? (link)

Here is the thing I never see mentioned in the discussion of this: It is not legal.
This is covered by the same obscenity laws as bestiality and child pornography. If you ordered a copy of this video through the mail, to be delivered inside the U.S. the postal inspectors would inform customs, and you would be arrested.
How is it that one 13 year old girl sees this and wants all her little friends to see it too, when any grown person would be jailed for getting a copy through the mail?
Makes you wonder about the end of the world a bit, doesn't it?

You didn't need to change anything but the style.
Look under: "Approved Public Styles"
Pick anything other than default.
"Your Space," "Particka" or "Plain Wide Boxes"
... and everything will be fine.

The ONLY places you need to add the background image link are:
Page background image (URL):
and:
Sidebar background image (URL):
... the other spaces are for colors, not links.
To get your background to show through everything, select a style other than "default."
That should fix your issues.
Let me know if you need anything else.
P.S. Your colors are already set to blank, just select a different style, and it will all be fine.

... The main things to consider here are that some of the numbers have been manipulated to get the results they want, AND the verse they quote out of the Quran is just plain wrong.
Another note. You don't need Microsoft Word to do this. If you have any recent version of Windows, then you have WordPad, which is in your accessories menu: Start >> Programs >> Accessories > WordPad

The Kodak Easyshare C763 camera doesn't like to be used as a webcam. :-( You would think they would get with the times on this, but it is what it is. I had to dig through their FAQ a bit, but filed away under a section called: "C763 Zoom Digital Camera Knowledge Center" i found the following:
"Question : Can I use my KODAK EASYSHARE Digital Camera as a Webcam?
Answer : Most KODAK EASYSHARE Digital Cameras take videos, but they cannot be used as Webcams. If your camera has the video feature, you can record a video with the camera, transfer the video to your computer, and then e-mail the video file from KODAK EASYSHARE Software.
NOTE: The e-mail recipient must have a program like the Apple QuickTime player installed on his computer to view the .mov files."

Which will bring you to the main "C763 Zoom Digital Camera Knowledge Center" page. There is a search box there... enter "webcam" (no quotes) and it will have a link to the FAQ I reference here. They make it hard to link directly to their FAQ for some reason. Almost like the Kodak Easyshare C763 camera was some kind of secret. ;-)
If you have other questions, or want to triple-check the webcam-ability of your camera.
Look on the left hand menu (side bar) for a button that says "chat with Kodak" over some text like:

... Which will let you, sadly, drive the last stake through the heart of the idea of using the Kodak Easyshare C763 camera as a webcam.
On the high side, decent webcams aren't terribly expensive anymore. I know that is a small comfort, and I agree that a camera as modern as the Kodak Easyshare C763 should be web cam ready, but I wanted to encourage you to web-cam in spite of their silliness.
