i put in the same thing i put in every other color option thingy. its a dark blue kinda thing and my background is something completely different. i want it to match the rest of my profile.

The ONLY places you need to add the background image link are:
Page background image (URL):
and:
Sidebar background image (URL):
... the other spaces are for colors, not links.
To get your background to show through everything, select a style other than "default."
That should fix your issues.
Let me know if you need anything else.
P.S. Your colors are already set to blank, just select a different style, and it will all be fine.
