um im embarassed.. well i have no idea but i think im extra hairy down there. im a girl and i just wanted 2 know if the hair is actually supposed 2 go around the um vagina hole? Oh and im really scared i don't remember what the stuff is called ok discharge and im 13 im not sexually active and i never have been. i haven't had my period 4 a long time and the discharge is not um liquidy.. its more solid like uhh snot/boogers. is that normal? Yes its normal. Unless it has a VERY strong
nasty smell you are fine. There is always some
unusual smell, but unless it is really bad its
not a problem. If it does have a strong, gross
smell you'll have to see a doctor about it.
Your hair is fine. Its like it should be.
Some girls shave the hair but it is not
at all necessary and probably not that
smart to shave. One little cut and it
could get infected easily.
Girls can start and then stop their periods
at your age. I wouldn't be real concerned
about it. You might mention it to your
family doctor next time you visit. I don't
think you have any problems. Just normal
girl stuff! :)

I got my tonsils taken out today and they used general anesthesia on me. When I woke up I found myself feeling that I couldn't breat and gasping for air. It turns out the breathing tube was still in my throat. I think I was squirming, because I remember hearing the nurses say, "Stop moving, stop moving!". I think they put me back to sleep though, because I don't remember feeling them take the tube out. Has this ever happened to anyone before, when they woke up earlier than they were supposed to? It happened to me once and it was really scary.
I wasn't in any pain or anything and it was
AFTER the surgery was over. I could hear the
nurses talking around me but I couldn't move.
It was like I was paralyzed or something.
A few years later when I worked in an ER I
was telling the nurses about it. They told me
you're given 2 drugs. I don't know what they
are or what their purposes are for that matter.
I suppose one puts you to sleep and maybe one
relaxes you big time! The nurse said if they
give you more of one than the other this happens.
Thankfully, not often.

hi im 15 years old and lately ive been having really sore boobs. i usually get them a week before i get my period but i dont get it for two weeks which is wierd. im also on birth control but have been on it for around 10 months. im just worried that it means something different because they have never been this sore. unless its just a growth spirt. please help me im very worried (link)

It was always 2 weeks before for me too.
Its perfectly normal. Some months they
really hurt and some they just hurt a
little. It doesn't mean anything. :)

I've read the book and seen both movies.
I'd have to give both a 10.
I like black and white movies. I can
understand though how the younger crowd
might like the newer one with the
actors in it they are familiar with.
But if you get a chance to see the older
movie, its just as good!

Okay, this is going to be kinda long. But, I am a 15 year old girl who is going to be a sophmore in high school. turning 16 in december. Both of my parents work. My father leaves for work at 4:30 in the morning, and gets home at about 9 at night. My mother leaves for work at 9 in the morning, and comes home between 5 and 6. Well, you know how it is a mothers job to cook dinner? she hasnt cooked one meal in about 2 years. and im not over exxagerating, im being totally serious. The only time i eat dinner is on sundays and wednesdays, or if i sleep over a friends house. Im quite underweight because of this, becuase of being left home all day. im 5'4 and i weigh about 90-100 pounds. it varies. I complain to my mother that she never cooks, and its unfair that im almost 16 and i dont get fed dinner. i already have to cook myself breakfast and lunch [that is if i dont sleep until about 3:00 in the afternoon]. My mom doesn't understand that im very unhealthy because im a terribal cook and if i put something on the stove it WILL catch on fire, or even in the oven, toaster, or microwave. I understand why my dad doesn't cook, because hes a man and he grew up with a mother cooking for him, and he is quite tired after a days work. So i don't bother him about it. The fact that everyones parents feed them after work, i dont understand why my mother wont cook me dinner. she claims that she is tired, well i know your tired mom, but im starving to death here! i have talked to her about it multipal times, then her other option is delivery. Well, we live in a very small town, that only has chinese and pizza delivery. and as you all know, after a while the same food over and over again gets sickening and tiring. Its embarissing when i have a friend over and they say "what time are we having dinner" and i have to say "i cook my own dinner every night." do you all know how bad that makes my mom look? really bad. My friends also dont understand why my mother doesnt cook dinner. she used to, every night! she hasnt since about sixth grade. she just comes home and sits at the computer, drinks beers [about a 30 pack a night]. It pisses me off. She does nothing but drink and go on her fucking computer at home! and whenever i try to talk to her, she wont talk to me. Because she thinks people at work are watching her.. so she doesnt talk when shes home. Barely, and if she does she like whispers. She thinks peeople are watching her through lightbulbs, our stattelite dish etc.[lmao!]So i dont understand why she wouldnt make herself look liek a good parent and cook for her daughter, my sister who is turning 21 in janurary is in college still. so she cant bring me something home to eat. but im so sick of my dad bringing me home mc donalds at like 9 at night. im so sick of everything really. my parents dont care for me! they just buy me stuff and supply me shelter. how can i tell my mom that she needs to start cooking? i need to like threaten her though, or she wontdo it. helpp pleasee! any suggestions? If your mom drinks 30 beers a night she
needs help. If she thinks the light bulbs
are bugged she needs help. Talk to your
dad about getting her a psych evaluation
for her paranoid behavior.
That being said, there is no reason why
you can't cook for yourself if you put
your mind to it. Look on recipe sites
and have fun learning to cook. You get
fed and any boyfriend will love it if
you bake them cookies and cakes.

Heres my situation. I work for the family business and my girlfriend lives approx 600 miles away. To make a long story short, we lived together before out of state away from home, but our relationship fell through, so I moved back home. We began talking a year later and we are both more mature ( I am roughtly 30) and ready for a serious relationship. We are happy together, but... I am supposed to inherit the family business, and if I leave, the business will be closed, and my father will take this fairly hard. I am close to my family, Ive always put family first. I am torn between the two. I mentioned to my father today about moving in a few months, and our conversation didnt go well. I could tell he was hurt, which inturn upset me. Ive always looked up to him. If I dont move, I will lose a really good girl, and the last thing i want to do is hurt her, but its not fair to my family as well...
Someone, please help me. This is a lose/lose situation for me.

Well, I would move 600 miles to be with
the man I loved. Why can't she move to
you? You have done this before, Its her
turn.
The problem here is that while you're
ok to move, the move affects your family.
Not just emotionally but financially.
Will you be happy 600 miles away knowing
the business had to close? That alone
will cause problems in the relationship.
Especially if it once again goes bad
and you are left without a business of
your own to go back to.
I am not trying to make you feel worse.
Sorry if it sounds that way. I don't
know the entire situation, but thats
a lot of responsibility.
If you enjoy working in the family business
and would like the security of knowing
you have a secure job, Id stay where you are
and let her do the moving.

I had sex last week, and I am super paranoid that I am pregnant. I am so stupid.
The thing is my boyfriend does not like condoms, and I ALWAYS insist that he wears one, but sometimes in the heat of the moment we end up not using one, but he ALWAYS pulls out or I push him away. I finally had a long talk with him about it and we are going to use condoms from now one. I am super nervous though. My period is supposed to come next week, but lately the lower part of my stomach has been "bubbling" with lack of a better word. I don't know if it means something, and it is too early to tell.
The question is what is the EARLIEST you will notice any signs of pregnancy. I read two weeks on Google, but is there anything sooner?

Missed period is the first "sign".
All other symptoms don't show for
5 weeks at the earliest.
You're stomach problem is probably
caused by worry. Get a home test,
if its negative you're probably fine.

You will not be "loose". Don't worry about it.
You may AFTER you have had a child be a little
less snug, but having sex in no way loosens the
vagina. If any guy claims that, they have the
problem, not you.

Im 25 years old and my boyfriend just recently found a wart on his penis that he had removed. We have never had unprotected sex, but I got tested for std's anyway just to make sure. The results came back negative for HPV, and all the rest of the bugs out there. You know I have been searching for over
an hour and I cannot find an answer for you.
Theres plenty of info on having a baby if
the female has HPV, but not the male.
I think the safest way would be to make
an appointment for both of you to see
a doctor and discuss your options.
I know they used to claim if the person
didn't have an active outbreak the
partner wouldn't get them. They have
backtracked on that now and say they
can. It may be a reduced chance but
still be possible.
I don't think having children is hopeless.
But get with a doctor to get correct
information to keep you safe. :)

i just read the kite runner, and i've never cried so much for a book or a movie. i want to watch the movie for it cause i hear it's good, but it got 67% on rottentomatoes.com. would you recommend it?
i hate reading books then watching the movies because, for example, when i read to kill a mockingbird, the director of the movie, imo, did a HORRIBLE job. things happened in the movie that were not explained at ALL! (e.g., when boo's brother cemented the hole in the tree). so i'd appreciate it if you could be honest! i'll rate you based on honesty & reasoningg (link)

I haven't seen it yet but movies rarely
are as good as the books. You can describe
a persons thoughts in books, its hard to
act that out in a movie most of the time.
I don't think bad reviews should stop you
from watching the movie though. It won't
be the same but could still be a nice movie.
Forrest Gump was a great movie but they left
a LOT of stuff out of the movie. I'd
advise watching it. :)

You could date with parental consent.
16 being the age of consent in most states,
he could be in trouble now should you have sex.
The only difference is he'd go to juvenile
court. 17 year olds can be prosecuted as adults.
I also learned on the legal site I read that
sex by law is defined as not only penetration,
but masturbation or showing of any sexual
body parts to a minor, including breasts.
I'd also like to point out that Elcee's advice

me and my boyfriend live in different states
and he got kicked out of his aunts house. again..
he called me like the day after cause his work scedual is really lame so we barely talk anymore
and when he didnt have work on sunday. he decided to go hangout wiht his friends and not talk to me. i understand. but he always see's them and talks to them. and me and him go like a couple days without talking. which is his fault. but he still chose them over me.
he called me yesteday morning and told me and stuff bout what happened so he said he rented himself out an apartment. but i think hes lieing cuase he called me from the same number he called from last time he was kicked out. which is his friends? so idk. but i really dont care about that
but then he got off of work at like 1 at night so then he called me after we talked for like 10 mintues and then he said hes gonna go get something to eat and then he call me back. which of course never happened. and that made me really mad/sad. he alwaysss says he will and then never does. what i dont get is what is more important to do at like 2 in the morning? and im pretty sure he just had to go call another girl.. but whatever. this whole relationship thing is making me soo stressed out and its to the point where i dont even care anymore. and i never say that cause i always care. i care way too much. im the only one putting effort into this. and hes not. but then we do talk hes always like oh i dont think you like me blahblahblah but when really. its him who doesnt show how much he wants to be with me casue hes losing me. i really need help. i dont know what to do.

In all honesty it is time to move on.
He puts no effort into the relationship
and friends (who could easily be another
girl) are more important than you are.
Thats really not uncommon, he can't see
you, they are right there.
Since his own Aunt kicked him out he
must be up to something. You didn't say
why but it must be something his Aunt took
seriously. I will venture a guess that
maybe he can't keep job or maybe hes
into drugs. He could be giving you a
lie about that since you have no way
of knowing.
You could call his Aunt and ask her
side of the story. But its probably
best to look for a nice guy you can
actually spend time with.

so i asked a question on this already but i have another one.. this time im going to add more details
so at the beginning of this week i experienced a back pain on my lower right that gradually increased and all week it hurt.. saturday i went to this warped tour thing if anyone knows what it is and you know the sun was superrr strong i was sweating and then by the end of the night the sun went down and i got cold i guess from sudden temp change.. but i was so much more cold than everyone around me shivering and all and all of a sudden i got dizzy and stuff and i had already thought maybe its a uti from the back pain.. so i got home and i had a temperature.. the next day i went to the doctor and had a urine test and a strep culture done because my throat had pus a nd was red.. no strep yes uti .. well that was sunday.. today is tuesday i still had a 103 fever up until today now its down to 99 keeps going from 99 to 101 now my throat still hurts and sometimes my heart "feels" like its speeding up but i really cant tell and i get a little short of breath so i took my inhaler once im on antibiotics and moltrin.. im kind of scared at the moment because i always see in the news how some people were misdiagnosed by doctors and such.. anyway im 18 female .. any idea?? Call your doctors office and tell them
what is going on. There are many antibiotics
and it could be you need something different
than what you are taking. The fever might
also be just your body fighting off the
infection. Keep in mind to it can take
24-48 hours for an antibiotic to kick in
and start making you feel better.
Since you have new symptoms, like the
headache, call your doctor. Don't put it
off. Ask to talk to the nurse and you
will get quicker answers. :)

again, you could, Right in front of her
tell him he better leave you alone and
to stop contacting you. If shes smart
she'll get the message. More likely
he will sweet talk her into staying
with him anyway. :)

In the past month I have lost my virginity and gone on to sleep with two other people. The third time was last night and I was very drunk. He was sober. Since it happened, I have felt literally sick with regret. I am disgusted in myself for what I've done and don't understand what is wrong with me. I am not the type of person who does this, but recently I seem to just have completely changed. I don't know what to do, I know I can't change what's happened and it's not that it's illegal because I'm of the age of consent where I live - but I can't get it out of my head.

Well, I would never judge you. You are
right that you can't change what has been
done. It might be hard to do but you have
to just stop thinking about it and start
over. You can regret it and learn from it,
just don't dwell on it. It does no good.
Tell yourself you will not sleep with
anyone you don't have very deep feelings
for. Stick to it. The first time you say
"No, I don't sleep with someone unless
I'm in a long term committed relationship".
you will feel better.
Believe it or not feeling bad about it
now is a good thing. It shows you know
it wasn't the thing to do. That is
usually enough to keep you from doing
it again. :)

and we slightly argued for 3 hours.

What young people are not understanding is
that unless your period ALWAYS comes right
on time, and only if you have kept track
for several months and kept charts on it,
can you know for sure the days you are
ovulating. Even then it doesn't work most
of the time.
If the guy wants sex and he isn't mature
or responsible enough to have a condom,
you do not have sex with him. Tell your
friend to make that a very strict rule.
The girl can also keep condoms on hand.
You have to protect yourselves. Its your
