I don't have braces yet, but im getting them soon, three days after i get my braces i'm planning to go to a friends house for a sleepover, will i be able to eat solid foods 3 days after getting braces?? If not, please provide websites that have information on this. All information is much appreciated Thank you.

You should be able to. It's been a long time since I had braces, but I remember being able to eat normally not long after I got them. Just avoid hard candy (if you chew it, you can still suck on it), popcorn, things like that. And brush your teeth really well, because food + braces = gross. When you get them on, the orthodontist will most likely give you an information pack and tell you everything you need to know, and you can ask them questions.

The measurement is pixels, which are tiny dots that make up everything you see on a monitor. If you zoom in on an image, you'll be able to see the pixels. If you have a PC, you can change the size of your resolution by right-clicking on the desktop, going to properties, and then settings. On a Mac, I have no idea. =/ But under Settings, there should be a slider that says "Screen resolution" on it. Drag that, and it will change the size of everything that comes up on your screen. :D

Tell her! It'll be hard, but you have to atleast try! What if she feels the same way, but is too afraid to tell you? You don't want to go through your whole life not knowing. Maybe when you're both 80, you'll finally admit it and you can be together but that will be SAD because you'll have missed out on so much! I know what it's like to miss out on an opportunity--it totally sucks! Whatever she says, you'll have no regrets if you take the chance. If you don't, you'll having nothing BUT regrets!

when you walk together she walks close to you than your other friends, talk with a teasing soft voice, laughs at you when you make a fool of your self, text message you when they are at their firends place and they said thier bored and you text for two hours, leans on your shoulder or has her arm around you and calls you cute funny animal nicknames.

I always liked her and i told her about my feelings in a letter, she didnt responed but she dose this to me.
I want to ask her why but i'm afriad of her saying "oh no i just being a close friend".
My other friends dont do this and she dosent do it to others.

I have done that before. The reason was that I wanted him to buy me a candy necklace and ask if I would be his girlfriend. It's pretty obvious from what you've described that she wants you to ask her out. Girls tend to drop subtle hints because...we're girls. Don't ask her why she does it, just ask her on a date! The worst she can say is no, and it's not the end of the world!

Okay, it would've helped to know that sooner! My answer is still the same...just go for it, because you never know, but in this case I DO think you should ask her how she feels, just not in a letter. Ask her directly, because that's the only way you're going to get a direct answer. Good luck!

I'm glad somebody asked this! Yes, many do. They all have their own reasons.

For instance, I don't know if you're into fanfiction (stories based on other works, such as books or movies), but there is a genre called slash, referring to homosexual pairings. Most people who read slash are straight women. Many enjoy it because when they read a romance story between a woman and a man, there's a lot of pressure. We tend to empathize with the woman in the story and put ourselves in her situation. When it's two guys, the woman can just sit back and enjoy herself. This is the same reason that a lot of heterosexual guys like lesbian porn. Instinctually, if it was male/female porn, some guys would feel threatened by the other man, but when it's two women, he can just watch.

Now, I'm bi, so I'm very concerned about gay rights issues. That's why I like to watch movies like Chasing Amy and Brokeback Mountain, because they show how people deal with sexuality. It's interesting for me, but I'm sure there are straight people who find it interesting as well. As for reading, I like stories about het, gay, and lesbian couples. Love is love. =D

It's entirely possible for a person to like reading stories and watching movies about homosexuals, and at the same time hate gays. Of course, that person is a hypocritical asshole, but to each his own. It's also possible to completely support gay rights and hate reading stories about gay couples. :D

what do they like or look at? i know its broad and that every guy is different but im talking about in general.

Yes and no. Most guys won't be able to tell if you're wearing Super Expensive French Designer or Cheap Wal-Mart, but they can tell if your clothes are dirty, or if they just don't look good on you. Different people have different shapes, and you have to buy wear clothes that suit your shape. What you wear will make you stand out, for better or for worse.

Guys I know tend to like smiles and eyes, and don't like a lot of makeup. They also like smart girls.

How about a car? That's a pretty hot topic when it comes to environmental issues. Or a house...electricity, water, heat, and everything else it takes to make a house all come from somewhere. A magazine (paper, ink), or just about anything in a grocery store. Talk to other people in your class (I'm assuming this is for school), or your teacher, or parents. I'm sure they'll be able to give you a few ideas.

The only way you can stop is just to stop. I've had addictions like this in the past, and trust me, it's possible to get over them. Just say, "Nope. Not gonna do it." Pick up a magazine or a book, or just go outside and take a walk. Try to hang out in a room far away from the computer. When people invite you out, say YES, and go with them! It also helps to completely shut down your computer. Unplug it if you have to. Every time you get the urge to go on neopets, you'll see that your computer is off and decide that you don't feel like turning it on. =) Don't completely ban yourself from it, or from the computer. After you've learned to live without it for a month, go on for a specific amount of time, say an hour a week. If it starts getting out of control again, just start over. It takes patience and self-discipline, but it's worth it.

It should wait until you're ready, and that's different for everyone. As for the age, I think that physical age doesn't determine maturity...but the government disagrees. The appropriate age to have sex is the legal age in your area.

Guys, especially at this age, don't take hints. They need it spelled out for them. You have to say, "Do you want to go to the dance with me?", otherwise, he never will. Personally, I think that if he's only interested in girls with big boobs, then he's a shallow jerk and you should get over him. You should go to the dance by yourself and have fun!! That's what I did. But if you're sure you want to go with him, ask him.

This is what I always say about sex. If you have to ask whether or not you're ready, then chances are you're not, and you shouldn't do it.

Sex should be with someone you love and trust. If you're just calling him "This boy at my school", then you don't know him nearly well enough! Second, you have to take into account how serious he is. Guys are usually all talk, and young ones like to make comments to a lot of different girls. You might have heard a serious proposal to have sex, but he was probably just flirting and isn't serious. MOST IMPORTANTLY, do you have any idea what he's done with other girls? How do you know you'll be safe? You can't ask him, because, well, people lie.

In the end it comes down to you, but my answer, and the one that a lot of people will give you, is not to do it!

Some guys do, some don't. Some don't care what you look like, but judge you based on who you are as a person. =) Others, sadly, don't care what you look like, but judge based on whether or not you have sex with them. Really, it depends on the guy.

To look shorter, it's all in the clothes you wear. Don't wear tight clothes, and wear your shirts so they go over your pants or skirt. Lots of magazines will have a section on how to buy clothes that suit your body shape--pay attention, because they have some good ideas. =)

Sorry, you have to deal with what nature gave you. Stop worrying about what other people think, because we all have something we hate about ourselves. Besides, sometimes your voice doesn't sound the way you think it does. Have you ever listened to a recording of your voice? Most people find it sounds drastically different compared to what they hear when they talk. Just accept it as part of who you are! And just so you know, gay men do not all have high voices. ;)

Okay so last monday me and some friends were hanging out. And the boy I so happen to have a crush on was there but he has a girlfriend. Okay well we were flirting A LOT. And by the end of the day we ended up kissing. >_< I feel so horrible about this! So basically I made him cheat on his girlfriend. And everyday I feel worse and worse about it. What do I do? Im so confused right now. =(

It's not like you forced him to kiss you. He made that choice. Yes, you're responsible, but think about it. If you hadn't been there, and some other girl was flirting with him, he probably would have done the same to her. Tell the girlfriend and apologize to her. If they break up, that's fine, because she can do better--you can too! Sorry to say, but if he cheats on his girlfriend now, he'll do the same to his girlfriends in the future.

Long thing cut in half. I'm 14/f and I'm bi and I'm not out of the closet and I'm not planning to come out of the closet anytime soon. I have a lot of gay/bi friends and I love them to death and I don't mind. They're out and they're carefree and don't give crap about what others say. But all good things have the iffy side. Some of my friends are homophobes, my family is a huge homophobe, and the school..80% is homophobic. It's really hard to get along with people now that I'm in high school. Some people tend to tease me because I have so many nonstraight friends. One time a group of guys that make fun of me and my bff--who is gay--on the bus rammed me with their shoulders on purpose because I was friends with gay guys. Some people won't even talk to me. And it's really getting hard to keep up this little image where I look perfectly find and don't mind as long as I have my friends. I don't know what to do about that.

And also, one of my gay friends always goes "You're the only straight person in our group. We need to turn you bi" And I don't know what I'm suppose to say. I just laugh it off. But I'm already bi and I can't risk telling them because I feel intiminated and they're really gossip-y so heh no way. Some people ask if I'm bi also because I have so many gay/bi friends. ANd I don't want to say no but I have to or else it gets iffier.

So my questions are: what do I do with the school people situation and what do I say with the "be bi"/"Are you bi" statements said to me?

I know you don't want to, but the best thing to do right now is to tell someone. Preferably one of your gay friends. There has to be atleast ONE who won't gossip. When I was discovering my bisexuality, I felt horrible keeping it a secret from my friends. When I told them, it was a billion times better. It's hard being a teen as it is. EVERYBODY in high school feels alienated, even the ones who seem perfect. You need to rely on somebody.

For the people at school, seriously, just screw them. If they make fun of you, laugh it off. If they go further, tell them to stop. If they ever hand you a peice of paper and say, "Hey hon, give that to the teacher for me, okay?", rip it up and throw it away! I know, it seems really hard, but once you take the plunge, it really isn't! It's also fun.

And anybody who asks if you are bi...just say, "Why do you care?" Because, really, they shouldn't. It's your business ONLY.

i'm 5'4.5" and about 110 pounds. i think i have a pretty good body, but kids at my school think im anorexic. it gets me so mad, they dont need to bring me down just because they're fat and im normal weight. america is so fat that they think people at a healthy weight are anorexic or bulemic. ANYWAY (sorry for going off topic) i want to add some meat to my arms and legs. I just want those two areas to be a little more "meaty". what can i do? exercize is hard for me, because i never have time for it. are there any drinks or foods i can use to help me gain weight just in those areas? thanks for your time and advice!

Why? So you can be more accepted by kids that are mean to you? Don't. No matter where you go, people are always going to have some kind of problem with you. You like your body, right? So don't change it! Everybody gets crap from other people, just brush it off. Be happy with what you have.

Take an ordinary pencil. Pretend you are picking it up from the ground, and go over to him. Say, "Hey, did you drop this pencil?" Then say your name, and then talk about classes and your interests.
