i'm 5'4.5" and about 110 pounds. i think i have a pretty good body, but kids at my school think im anorexic. it gets me so mad, they dont need to bring me down just because they're fat and im normal weight. america is so fat that they think people at a healthy weight are anorexic or bulemic. ANYWAY (sorry for going off topic) i want to add some meat to my arms and legs. I just want those two areas to be a little more "meaty". what can i do? exercize is hard for me, because i never have time for it. are there any drinks or foods i can use to help me gain weight just in those areas? thanks for your time and advice!
amusinbtconfusin answered Sunday January 7 2007, 11:39 pm: i wish i had your problem!! i say, you dont need to gain any weight. you know you arent anorexic or bulemic, and thats all that matters. ignore the people. they are probably just jealous
abercrombie.LvR answered Sunday January 7 2007, 7:36 pm: I am so jealous! You're at a perfect weightt!! I really don't think you need to lose weight- you're right about those peoplee! Anyways! If you really want to lose weight all you have to do is eat some protein (meat & nuts), do pull ups, and strech!
Good luck getting fatterr! Omgg i wish somebody would say that to mee!!
Daimeera answered Sunday January 7 2007, 7:23 pm: Just like with weight loss, you can't target weight gain.
You're in a healthy range currently, albeit on the low end. A few pounds less and you'd be classified as underweight. Regardless, that's not the point.
Exercise might be hard, but it's your best bet if you don't want to actually gain much weight. To a certain degree, you'll be able to change the look of your body in the places you want--do activities using your arms and your legs.
You could stand to gain a few pounds if you're really concerned. But why let other people dictate how you feel about your body?
LM answered Sunday January 7 2007, 7:23 pm: Uhmm no. You can't gain/lose weight in just one area. You NEVER have time to exercise? I think not. Spend ten fewer minutes on the computer (which I KNOW you have time for, since you're on advicenators) You can take those five minutes to do pushups and lift weights (or at least a heavy book). As for your legs, do squats & go running.
Some people are just naturally thin. And sometimes, a person looks a little bit TOO thin to be healthy. "Kids at your school" that think you're anorexic are:
a. Worried about how thin you are, since eating disorders often go undiagnosed, and they're just concerned about you.
b. Jealous of how thin you are, since being overweight is just as big an issue as being underweight
or
c. are stupid, insecure idiots who don't know what they're saying.
So basically, it doesn't matter (unless you ARE anorexic or bulemic, in which case, get some help). Change yourself only to make YOURSELF happy, not someone else. If you were someone who was 10 lbs overweight, you'd be asking "AHHH all the kids at my school make fun of me because I have extra fat on my stomachhhhhhhh!". Just let it go. Kids will be kids. Simplyy_Me answered Sunday January 7 2007, 7:20 pm: i know you say excercising is hard for you because of your schedule but you should probably try to fit it in your schedule. every night before you go to bed just do some leg lifts, they're simple and take 5 minutes. also try eating protein bars. There is also this new drink by Special K, K2O Protein drinks, they are really good! Just try to get as much protein as you can in your body AND TRY TO DO SOME LEG LIFTS!
