Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. My stomace been felling werid past week at night's and i also been feeling like thoughing up in the morning's and in the after noon's and sometime's at night's and i been getting so tiered alot lately also and to day i went to the bathroom and when i pooping it was hirting so after word's i check and half of it was light brown then the other half was dark brown and i saw some blood in with the poop and am scare cause my grandfather had something like that before he pass away and i don't no why i feel like this way lately i feel like crappy but i really don't no what it could be and i hope that you could give me some answer's that could help me like i said i no that it run's in my family but i never ask them what it mean's cause i never think of it and am also don't no if stress could causue it or not thank you for reading me

Hey! I'll be sixteen in June and was hoping for a summer job. I know that PacSun hires at sixteen, so I was thinking about working there.
The problem is that I don't know how to get hired! Do they have to have a help wanted sign up? Because when you don't see many of those when you're walking around the mall.
Do I just ask for an application or something?
How do I do it and what are the chances of actually getting hired?
Also, there are a lot of malls around my area. Should I apply for all at once? If so, what happens if I get hired for more than one store?

They don't have to have a help wanted sign up - most places like PacSun are always accepting applications.
Just go in, ask someone for an application, go to the foodcourt to fill it out, and then bring in back.

If they like what they see, they'll call you back for an interview or group interview. If it's a group interview, then there will be a few applicants.
Anyway, after the interview, they'll usually either ask you that day when you'd like to start or they'll say sorry, you don't have the job. Or they'll call you in a few days...

Anyway, you can apply at multiple stores in multiple malls. If you do get a job at one places & then another place calls you, tell them you've already found a position elsewhere. Or, if you'd rather work there, you can go for the interview & see if it's worth leaving your current job for. I don't really suggest that because the second job may not work out, but it's always an option.

Anyway, apply for them all at once that way you have a good chance at getting a job.

What is the most painless way to commit suicide?....The only thought that provides any degree of solace to me is death. I do not want to live anymore, there is no other way to end the pain. I tried paracetamol in my 20`s (am in 30`s now) and they just pumped my stomach. I fell in love with a married woman (yes I know there was no future) but I just don`t wanna live as the memories are killing me. The memories and love wont go away, despite the fact that she cheated on me. So anyway I have high BP and am being monitored for my heart rate regularly by my Dcotor. I have not taken my prescrption for some time and thank goodness my BP level has risen again but this is not working. I have taken to smoking a shisha pipe as well, so my health is pretty bad right now but it`s taking too long. The thought of death is the only comfort available to me, dpoes anyone understand this? Please just recommend an easy an painless way to die as I am a complete an utter coward, have no career prospects and have no ambition. I am not mentally ill but just want to die. I pray to God every night to take me but thts not working either, so anyone got any advice on the most painless way to commit to kill myself?

You pray to God every night asking him to take you. Well, He has already given you His answer. He has told you NO. For some reason, God wants you here. He's telling you that you have a purpose.

Heart break is horrible. Sometimes it feels like your heart will never mend. It's one of the worst pains anyone can ever experience.

Coming from someone who has been in the position of wanting to end their life, I can tell you that suicide is the cowards way out. Be the man God wants you to be. Seek help for your problems. Nobody here is going to give you tips on suicide, but we are here to give you advice on how to best live your life.

I see from your prayers that you're a religious man. Do you really think God would put you in a situation you cannot handle? I'm not very religious, but I have plenty of friends who are, and the way they speak about their religion, there is no way that God would put someone in a situation they can't handle.
Maybe your purpose is to survive this "need" for suicide and help someone else out.
If you kill yourself, you'll never find that one true love, you'll never be remembered for the person you are - only for the selfish choice you made.
You may feel like nobody loves you, nobody cares, nobody will miss you, etc. That just isn't true. Depression hurts everybody, suicide hurts everybody.

Seek a psychiatrist. He or she can help you find a way to work through your issues and help you discover a healthy way to live your life.

Did you know that depression is a serious medical condition? If you are clinically depressed, it's because of a chemical imbalance in your brain and that by simply taking a certain medication, you can be happy! Try it!

Seeking help to try living is much more useful than seeking help to die. You aren't terminally ill and suffering - you have the ability to feel better.
Please, get help! Don't let this relationship hurt you. I saw your other question, and it's a terrible situation that you're in, but please, there are other ways to cope.

my friend and i are going on a road trip to florida from michigan and we wanna look at the beaches and fun things. we are both 17/f. can anyone give any advice on what to do?

I live in NC, so my suggestions for beaches are Oak Island (not much to do, but very pretty beach!).
Also, Myrtle Beach is a HUGE attraction.

In both NC & SC (it's on the border) there's the theme park Carowinds. The land part is in NC & the water park part is in SC. It's one price for the entire park, but it's about $40 a ticket unless you are able to find discount tickets. If you like roller coasters & theme parks, it's definitely a great thing to do. I'm assuming you guys are waiting until the summer, but if you're going any time soon, then I'm not sure Carowinds will be open since it's winter - at least I doubt the water park will be. Also in NC, there's a Wet & Wild Emerald Point. It's a great water park. I haven't been in about 4-5 years, but back then it was only $20 or so for a ticket. I'm sure it's more expensive now.

NC has Reeds Gold Mine near Concord. NC also has a lot of great national parks. In northern NC, there's Boone. I'm pretty biased on my feelings towards Boone because it's where I go to college, but it's a very nice small town that's basically a college town. Most everything closes early, but if you're into snowboarding or skiing, they have some nice places to do that. There's also places like Howards Knobb and other mountain climbing trails - it's a really pretty scene (all the NC mountain areas are really nice).
If you do go to Boone, be very careful with your driving - there are cops EVERYWHERE! They have no problem pulling you over for speeding, etc.

Sorry I can't help with the other states.
I've been to Florida a few times, and my obvious answers for things to do are Disney. Not much help since that's very expensive. I know they have a bunch of beaches, but I'm not really all that sure what there is because I don't live there.

Anyway, I hope you guys have tons of fun - I've always wanted to do a crazy road trip like this!

My wife and I got nice gifts for christmas from out son. My wife quickley went on line and looked up the dollar value of the 2 gifts, she is now mad because her gift costs $220.00 and mine was $395.00.
I feel this is not right and she should not compare gift costs. It's the thought that counts etc. My wife thinks gifts to us should always be equal value.She now wants to give hers back.

Okay, so this isn't even your son, it's your step son? Oh, did that sound harsh? Sorry, you put it that way. If you can't see him as more than your step son, maybe he doesn't see you as anything more than his step mom.
Sure, I can understand where you're coming from - you feel like you have been treated poorly because he's using money to show who he loves more. Yeah, I'd be hurt if my mother spent $300 on my sister and only $20 on me, but I'd also look at it like this: maybe my gift was cheaper, but is it something I like?
My mom bought my sister a $300 Christmas gift. I received a gift that was only $100. However, the gift I received is exactly what I wanted. It was also on sale. What my sister received is exactly what she wanted and not on sale. BUT, my mom had a gift card to the store she purchased my sister's gift. So, in the end, they were of equal value.

Have you ever considered that? Maybe he didn't pay the value you found online.

I don't really care how upset you get that he spends more on your husband. It's still petty and immature to look up the values of a gift. As other users have said, a gift is a gift.
I could understand him just buying something for your husband and nothing for you, but he's still spending a great deal of money on you.

You mentioned how he sold a nice car that was a present to support his girlfriend - well, that's his prerogative. If he's that stupid, let him do it. Next time, his grandmother will know not to spend such a large amount of money on him.

You can sit them down and tell them how you feel when your husband receives gifts of a larger price than yours, but realize that you're still going to sound immature and crass to your step song and husband.

You're upset because we agree with your husband. Well, you're going to have to overcome that. No matter what you do about this situation, the only way it's going to not cause a huge rift is by keeping your mouth shut. Accept the gifts graciously or know that whatever you say is just going to cause a petty argument. Your step son will ask why you can't just be grateful that he's getting you something, and you'll look like an idiot.

Ok this is a weird question but I pluck my eyebrows and I always do it underneath but the top of my eyebrows aren't plucked. I'm scared to do them because I think I'll mess up. Is there a certain way you can do them without making them all weird looking? I can't get them waxed so yeah. Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure where I heard this, but I was told to ONLY pluck the bottom unless you have hairs that appear to be out of place.

If it's not extremely obvious that you have a hair sticking out from the top, there is no need to pluck the top.

I know you're asking how, but I wanted to make sure you know not to pluck the top unless it's absolutely necessary.

What are some really good New Year's Resolutions? I know that a lot of people want to lose weight (and weight loss is good) but I want something different. I want some sort of New Year's resolution that can better my life or my body.

I want to find something I haven't done or thought of before for a good New Year's resolution. I know that on New Year's it's common to make New Year's Resolutions--I even saw this thing on associatedcontent.com about Miley Cyrus and New Years Resolutions. I want to start a tradition for myself of making New Year's resolutions on each new year.

Anyway, I'm going to have a big New Year's party and I had this thought of gathering everyone around and announcing our New Year's Resolutions. I want mine to be good but something I can REALLY stick with.

Any ideas?

You can make a resolution of working harder in school & making better grades.

You could not just lose weight, but get fit - try a sport or something.

A resolution of trying something new - joining a club, trying a sport, making new friends, etc.

Helping others: next time you go to a drive-through, ask the cashier how much the order of the person behind you costs & then pay for them...

Helping those less fortunate: you could make a resolution to volunteer somewhere every other week or once a month, etc.

You could make a resolution to keep your house/room/whatever clean.

A resolution to be a better person - be kinder to family & friends.

There are so many things people need to improve upon themselves. Just find a quality you have that you want to improve on and do it!

Me and this boy was goin together for about three months. But we had broke up alot of times before, but always got back together. But then i guess i said the wrong thing to him and he just got really mad and broke up with me. We had broke up so many times before that i didn't really take it to serious. But he did, he made it seem like it was really over. I took the break up really hard and cried all the time. I could not say it back for some reason. i can't allow myself to feel that way with him because he might hurt me again. He says he is over me but i think thats all a front. Because if he was over me like he say he is then why do he call me? I think about him all the time. And im still very much in love with him.. should i try this again and take a chance? or should i just let the past be the past and moce on? hellpp! im so confused.

I think you should move on.
If you continue to see him in the relationship format, you'll always have to watch how you act and what you say - it's not really that healthy of a relationship. You two have hurt each other, I'm sure, and he's still hurting you. You say you're just getting over heartbreak, so maybe your heart needs a little more time to heal before you dive right into another relationship - especially with him.

He says he's over you, so whether or not it's just a front, I say move on. Maybe you should be single for a while, that way you can figure out who and what it is that you really want.

My boyfriend (20), and I (18) have been dating for almost two years. Over the few months, I've noticed that he doesn't say "I love you" anymore. He used to say it just randomly sometimes and always say it back when I said it to him. So it's just really weird that now when I say it to him, he'll just either ignore it, change the subject, or just crack a joke. So I'm just like, wtf. What do y'all think is going on?

This is a problem where you should talk to your boyfriend. No matter what we say about this problem, you won't actually know until you ask him how he's feeling.

I don't know that he just fell out of love, but that's always a possibility.

Or he could be questioning himself. Maybe he really likes you and is afraid of being so close with someone, so he's trying to put some space in your relationship... Has he ever been hurt in a serious relationship before?

Either way, you should talk to him. Ask him if there's something wrong...

What is the minimum wage in the United States right now? My mom said it was like $6.55 but when I was working a job last year it was $5.85. My best friend says she doesn't know what minimum wage is right now, but heard it was going to be $7.25 soon but doesn't know exactly when that will happen.

I'm curious any way it is. What is the minimum wage right now and when is minimum wage going to go up in the United States? When the minimum wage does go up what will it be then?

The minimum wage is actually different in each state. Where I live, the minimum wage will soon be $7.25 in either January or July, I can't remember.

All you have to do is go to google & type in "Minimum wage in ____" and then put your state. You'll get a whole bunch of information.

my school only offers French and Spanish.

i dont really know which one to take..people say that french is easier..but that ill use spanish more.

If you live in the United States, learning Spanish in high school will probably help you more later in life than learning French will.
Bot are challenging, yet fun languages to learn.

Personally, I took Spanish because I believe that, one day, Spanish will probably be the universal language in the US.

Also, if you plan on having a career in business, being bilingual, especially with a very popular language, will help you in the business world.


French is a great language to learn if you ever plan on traveling to France or Canada.

In the end, if you live in the US, Spanish is the practical foreign language to take.

My personal opinion:
Try taking them both. In my high school, you only need 2 classes in the same foreign language. You have 4 years... if you don't need more than 2 years, take both! Yes, it will be challenging. Once you take one, though, it won't be as difficult to learn the other. Spanish and French may not be that much alike, but if you know one, it will be easier to learn the other. Being trilingual is even better than bilingual :)
