How old Should a child be when they start dating?

What 6th-8th graders call "dating" (just going to school dances or the movies) shouldn't begin earlier than 13 or 14. A lot of 11 and 12 year olds like to have boyfriends or girkfriends but it's fake and crap. For actual dating like dinner and such 15 or 16. There really isn't an age. But in my opinon, the older the better. Kids shouldn't be running around pretending to be in love.

OK idk if this happens to everyone, but in my myspace on the about me section, it wont let me like skip a line. I wanna write one sentence, and then skip to the next line. How do i do that? And how can i make words in bold/italics/ and get them bigger?

In a nutshell, I hate my stepdad. Well, HATE is a strong word, so let's just say I highly dislike him.
My mother met him about 5 years ago, and they got married a year later. He was nice to me and my sister during their courtship, but since he married my mom he's turned into an ass. Well he's really mean to me and my sister. Neither of us has a bf so he says to our faces that were lesbians. When I had my 25th birthday he told me in front of my mother that I must be a dyke because all of his daughters were married by my age. He always compares us to his daughters who are all married.
My sister has a weight problem and he calls her fat and a slug. He convinced my mother to kick her out of the house while she was still in college. My sister is a good person, she's quiet and studies to get good grades but he tells my mom that she deserves to be kicked out on the street. I think he wants my mom all to himself. He even told me once that he was "sick of me always coming around". I live in another town and maybe visit my mom once every two weeks, so I don't know what he's talking about. On Xmas day when I went to visit them I even heard him yelling at my mom! He was calling her a "stubborn woman" because she asked him to help cut up the turkey. Every one else can see this guys a jerk except for my mother.What can I do? I've already told my mom that she shouldnt have married him but she's in love with him and doesnt want to listen.

First off you are totally right this guy's an ass. Your mom shouldn't let this man talk about her children like that. He has no right to say that and you make sure he knows. Stand up for yourself and your sister when he talks about you. Alert your mom that this is hurting you and that you refuse to take this. Ask her to your house more often and don't invite your step-dad.

However, there is nothing you can do to spilt them apart. Explain to your mom that you will be spending the least amount of time with him as possible. Make sure you tell her you still love her you just don't love him. When your around him be polite but if he makes a personal attack on you don't be afarid to be assertive.

All in all you cannot stop your mom from loving this man. But you don't need to love him.

I have a friend named Tara. Shes in 12th grade, graduating this year, and going to college for Theater.. I've been quite worried about her lately, because i know that she cant have her whole life rely on Theater. She wasted her past 6 years working to be an actress. And shes not all that bad, but someone from a small town and such like ours, prolly wont get very far. I've tryed talking to her about other options. I dont want her whole life to be thrown out the window because of some, un-realistic dream.. You shoulds let her make her own mistakes. Who knows? She could go farther than you think. However, it really isn't up to you to decide. You can give her panfilts and such to other collegees and such to her but it's really her choice. She'll be able to determine what's right the only thing you can do is be there for her.

Don't be her friend. You are sitting in the bathroom and she opens the door and basically molests you (I'm assuming she touched you; even if she didn't she was disrespecting your privacy). Do you really want a friend like that? Being a bi or lesbian should have nothing to do with it. But you shouldn't be friends with her no matter what everyone else does.

I haven't been to many funerals, but I am young and expect I'll be attending quite a few over the course of my life. I need advice on two issues that have come up at the funerals I have been to:

1. What do you say when someone asks how you are? To say that you're "doing great" or even "fine" seems disrespectful to the dead person and their family.
2. I am an atheist. What am I to say when someone brings up the afterlife? I feel like a liar when I nod and agree that yes, So-and-so is in a better place, but I can't very well tell the bereaved family members that their loved one is now worm food.

1. Say "I'm dealing the best I can with the loss." That's what I say at awkward funnerals.

2. Yes, you may feel like a liar but this is what the immedate family needs to hear. They are in a terrible state of grieving. Just support them and tell them that the decessed is finally at a peaceful rest.

Ok soo I'm going on vacation soon to Puerto Rico and I will be wearing a bathing suit however I kinda have a woman beard. You know like pubic hair and its kinda gross. My sister-in-law is getting married and moving away at the end of the month. I've only known her for a year now, and we've just started to bond. I'm really upset and depressed that she's moving and I want to do something for her. The problem is, I don't have a lot of money, or any idea what I should do or what I should get her.

You should make a photo album or scrap book. Put any pictures you may have of you two or her and her family or you and your family. Or events you both attended. On eah page write a little message to her. On the last page put a letter to her describing how much this past year ment to you and how much you will miss her.

for girls- when ever i get my period i am fine during the day - my pads NEVER leak. however, when i go to bed, they very often do. it seems as though the pad just doesn't protect the back of my underwear for some reason...but only when i lie down! how can i prvent this...i have the kind of pads with wings, so i can't put it much farther back, can i? i know there are longer pads made, but is there anything i can do to prevent leaks for now with the pads i have? I was working at Old Navy for the past few months as a seasonal hire and they recently laid off all the new hires because we did pretty badly during our Christmas season. They told us that we would always be welcome back in the spring though but I don't really want to work there anymore.
1. I know this is a bad time for job searches but should I try looking for a new job anyway?
2. Before Old Navy, I only had volunteer experience. Would a store manager take a closer look at my resume because of my Old Navy experience? Do Old Navy employees have a particular reputation that might cause store managers to prefer them or look down on them?
3. Do you think a few months Old Navy experience is enough to work at specialty stores like American Eagle or Espirit?

im confused about what to do with my ex cody, its like i get the hot and cold responses from him, so to speak. sometimes he's extrememly nice and we flirt and get along GREAT and others he seems completely shy and doesnt talk to me.

i have liked him since august (it now being january) and in august when i told him that he said he liked me too. so he kind of dragged his feet .. not sure what he wanted .. didnt know waht to do . the usual guy thing. and when i'd finally given up hope on him and me he left me a message at midnight on october 10th like three months later sayin he wanted to give us a try. only to dump me 10 days late b/c he he liked someone else .. then he told me a couple weeks later that he wouldn't have dumped me for her if she hadn't had a boyfriend ..

so that was like november .. now its january and the guy is still all i think of. i try so hard to get over him .. but like around every other corner hes either makin me fall for him again or his friends are being COMPLTELY honest and telling me stuff he says.

I think you should just ask him out. He seems to be scared or something so you should just ask. It will probably be hard but you need to. If he says no then you just need to find someone else. Love is a biiiig risk. But honestly you are only kidding yourself if you just sit there and wait. You really need to ask him and if he says no then you'll need to move on. I kno it's really hard to move on I've been through that. But he's just going to hold you back.

first of all, im 13 anf a girl. i like two guys. one guy have known for three years. the other is new to my school since monday. the new guy is also my teacher's son. to make it easier, lets call the guy ive known for 3 years, T and the new guy, A.
the whole week that i was in school with A, he oicked on me and always wanted me to sit by him. well i got his screen name and firday nite we started talking. in my profile it says i like somebody. he wanted to know who it was. after i awhile i told him. he told me he liked me too. we stayed up all night. he constantly flirted with me and was really sweet. i began to seriously like him. he keeps hinting that he wants me to ask him out or vice versa. but i still like T. what do i do.

If I was you I would go for T. You may like A now but you're only kidding yourself because he will be leaving soon. Your relationship with T would last longer and you probably know him better also. However, if you don't care that A will be leaving soon and you like him more go for him. But T is who I would pick.
