Ok, my gramma has cancer and shes dying. We dont think she will make it until Christmas. I have a big family, and we are all very close, so it's a sad thing. But for some reason, i just dont feel sad. I feel guilty, it feels like i dont care. I know i do care, but i dont feel sad. It seems like everyone else is sad except me. Am i like a bad person? Is this normal? Please help!

I guess it is pretty weird that you're not sad at all. I got over my grandma faster than anyone else in my family when she died in May, so I do kinda understand. The day that she you couldn't tell that happened to me by talking to me. I guess everyone is different, and handles with problems on different levels. As long as you care for her and love her then there's nothing wrong with you.

What is fasting all about, and how's it done?
I know loads of girls at school that are talking about fasts all the time (not that I'm thinking of starving myself or anything for the sake of being thin, I'm just curious)

I heard my friend tell her cousin she was gonna do a 5 day fast and her cousin asked her how she lasted so long on a fast so I'm guessing it's got to do with not eating.

Fasting is not eating. This is where the name breakfast comes from. You wake up and break your fasting (since you go longer from dinner to breakfast than any other meal). Anyways, unless it's for a religious reason, theres no reason to do it.

I've been smoking for over two years now and I've never had any problems but lately when I smoke, I get dizzy.

Does anyone know why this is?

I don't get it. You say you're of age, but the info on you says fourteen. Whatever, have you started smoking more, a different kind, something like that? Are you getting short of breath? I normally smoke Camel Turkish Silvers, but if I have one of my friends home made it can make me dizzy sometimes.

okay, so i like a guy and i think he likes me back. the only problem is that there's this girl at my school who's his ex-girlfriend and they've been though a lot, and also just recently broken up. the girl isn't really my friend, but sort of a "friend of a friend". so i don't know whether to keep liking the guy, or to forget about it because he might be "off-limits". i'm really confused, please help!

i dont get this well i never take in more then 2000 callories a day more like 1000-1500 but like im putting on weight!!! the only way i lose any is if i dont eat for a day or i have no breakfast no lunch and like a salad for dinner which i have sometimes! but i dont get it.

That 2,000 calorie thing is average. It's different for each gender, height, blah blah blah. You need to find out what a fourteen year old girl needs to bring in everyday. Ask your doctor.

Well, eventually everyone is going to know. You know, when your stomach starts getting bigger. I'm not sure exactly what I should or even can do for my cousin. I'm 19/f and he's 17/m and we were really close growing up, almost like brother and sister. I knew a while ago that he smoked pot and I've been telling him to stop and everything, but I had no idea how bad it really was. Last night we had a really long conversation online (we live 4 hours away now) and I guess he smokes enough to get "the shakes" after 2 days of not having any. I had no idea he smoked that much, I thought he only did it every so often. He also told me that he cuts and that he's attempted suicide on and off since he was FIVE YEARS OLD! I don't think that he would really go through with it, but it's so scary to know that he's thinking that seriously about it. He started smoking really heavily when he broke up with his girlfriend. She cheated on him and then dumped him because he didn't trust her anymore. He says that pot is all that is keeping him alive since then. His parents divorced when he was really young and his father has been married two times since and is now going through his third divorce. My cousin lives with his mother and her second husband which have a very bad influence on him. They live a really horrible lifestyle and abuse him by giving their own children more priviledges, making him babysit, and not allowing him to have certain things around the house like soda or peanut butter. He's been through a lot of relationships, some since the girl I mentioned before and he's far from a virgin. Our family has treated him like crap since he was born and they have such high expectations for him especially because he's the fourth of his name. They all love him though, especially me and I hate to see this happening to him. I'm really glad that he was honest with me, but I'm so worried about him. What can I do to help him? I've talked to him and tried to encourage him and I don't know if it's working. I hate to see this happen to someone I care so much about. Any advice at all would be wonderful. Sorry it's so long.

I'd say for now try and get him some professional help. Once he turns 18, if it's financially possible, get him away from there and on his own. Just make sure you're always there for him. Let him vent and open up when he needs to. Keeping shit like that in when he's in such mental pain is bad.

There's this guy I know, and well, let's call him *Andrew* . I talked to *Andrew* like ONCE. and all i ever said was if he was a sophomore and he's like yea. So that's it.
