Hi. I only like guys who don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, and are nice, smart, and a virgin... but it seems like there are no guys out there at all who fit my description. So I'm just wondering, are there any many guys who are like that? Or are my standards too high?

Well, they're really hard to find but there are guys like that! I dated one and it was great. your standards aren't high, you just haven't met the right person yet.

It depends on what kind of choir it is... mine did a lot of religion-y songs so I only know of a few that aren't.

so i was at starbucks today and the barista is really cute and i go there a lot and we chat and today he was telling me how it was slow there that day and he was doing a crossword puzzle and was asking me for help w/ some of the answers. so next time i go i wanna let him know i'm interested. i am thinking about getting him a book of crossword puzzles and in the front cover like putting my nuumber?

any opinions on this idea?

i have like 11 pairs of jeans
but since its gotten cold i can only wear about 3 pairs,
because the rest are skinny jeans.

and the only shoes i have that look good with skinny jeans besides flip flops are my high top DCs. thats really it.

so any other ideas of what to wear?
or a style of shoe and where to buy them?

i like wearing high boots with them, not uggs, but like leather and flat. i got mine at forever 21 and they have some at payless too.
i've seen people wear them with clogs too. i don't really have an opinion on them besides them being "ok".
what i'm gonna start doing when it starts snowing is leaving flats in my locker and comming to school in uggs or something warm then changing in and out of them at the begining and end of the day.

has anyone been a waitress/waiter at golden corral?

how was it... good money? hours? easy, fun job or difficult? what kinda sidework was there? basically any experience youd like to share =]

i have 9 months waitressing experience.. but i hear golden corral is excellent money $ !

I used to go there all the time with my family and from what i've seen, it seems easier than other places. since it's a buffet, all you really do is refill drinks and get rid of used plates. i think you get the same amount of tips as waitresses at other places where they have to take orders.
the hours and how fun it is probably vary on which one you work at, the manager, and the people.
golder corral out in the country is different than in the city, trust me!
so i know it's not first hand but if i was into waitressing, i would probably apply there.

Hey there. I just started using tampons. I'm at the heaviest point, so I know it's okay to use them. I can get it in with no problem. The problem is that when I stand up or sit down, it starts hurting really badly. I know it's in the right place too. What could be the problem? And I don't have septate or anything abnormal. Another question I have is how far in you is your hymen? Thanks for the advice in advance.

you have it in the right place, just not up high enough in there. next time make sure that you get the applicator in as far as you can then push it in. it's a common mistake.

I had NO idea. Over the last few years, since my family moved to where we are now (it's been 5 years), my sister hasn't been making the greatest friends and gets in fights with them a lot, but I didn't know she was turning into such a bad kid. I'm 15 years old, I've never touched alcohol and neither have most of my friends, never even thought about smoking or drugs or anything.
My sister is 12. I know it's wrong to snoop but I looked at her journal thing cause she left it out and every single line is something bad she did. She drinks beer when no one is home or when she is with friends. She steals cigarettes from my mom, gives them to her friends, and she has tried one. Apparently she cut herself once.
What the hell do I do? I have never really had anything bad happen to me before and I feel like it's all my fault. I have tried to just not pay attention to her ever since she started annoying me a few years ago so we rarely talked. And now that I realize how much this has come to I'm shaking. I'm scared and confused and sad and guilty and just shocked at everything. How could she be this screwed up? I can't imagine ANYONE having that many problems and still no one would know for this long, let alone a TWELVE YEAR OLD. This is unbelievable and I don't know what to do. I will feel so weird going to my parents with this because all along they've been saying I need to be the one to straighten her out (just because her friends were mean, they have no idea about the rest), and I tend to push away problems and convince myself they aren't there, to let other people deal with them. So now it all boils down to me and I have no clue what I'm going to do. This is the most bizarre feeling I have ever had.
How could she? I don't even know how to phrase anything I want to break down and cry. Who corrupts their life like that at 12 years old? She's in SIXTH GRADE!
Please help me! I am so confused I don't know what to do!!!!

this is what i would do... just another choice for ya:
have your mom keep her ciggs out of reach... just be like yeah i hear some younger kids are stealing from their mom out of curiosity...
have her not buy more beer than she needs.
don't leave your sister alone all th time with her friends if its not necessary.
i guess she could still get it from other places but i doubt it since she's so young.
if she doesn't have any at home, she not likely to have any access to it.
anyway, just tell her all the bad things about smoking and drinking... give her all the horror stories about people dying and yellow teeth and how unattractive it is. it seems like she doesn't realize how bad it is... don't tell on her until she knowingly does everything. when she does tho.. go ahead.

well, the title says it all. guys don't find me attractive. don't get me wrong, i'd know if i was hideous, but i'm not. all my girl friends say i'm gorgeous, but guys just don't. i have like big boobs and stuff and i'm pretty thin i have pretty clear skin, i'm kinda pale but i don't know what it is. can someone give me an explanation on why or how i can fix this?

ps. i'm really outgoing and flirty with guys... usually. but i recently moved so i kinda lost my flare.

How recently did you move?
Once i moved, i thought i just wasnt attractive anymore but it's really cuz the guys don't know you.
once you get to know some, things will go back to normal.

I'm a senior in hs applying for colleges and I've been filling out the application and I'm really scared. I don't have very much experience in clubs and organizations at all, I hardly have any awards or honors, and I haven't done very much community service either, especially any community service that I do annually which is what colleges like.

So I'm kind of nervous. What should I do? It's november, and most applications are due pretty quickly, is there any time left for me? Obviously I can't try to be president of a club because those things are already set so late in the year, and I've joined many more clubs this year than the last three years, but what else can I do? Will any college accept me with my lack of experience in pretty much everything?? PLease, ANY advice would be so appreciated. I'm totally freaked out right now

there's college for everyone!
what you've done isn't amazinggg but you did something in 4 years. it's not going to get you into Harvard but it can get you into a good regular school. there's people in your grade that havent even taken the sat, that don't do any clubs and have straight c's that will end up in a community college. you are fine!
did you have some kind of job or participate in religious activities/youth group?

I work in a restaurant that is a mixture between fast food and sit down. You place your order at a register and we bring the food to your table when you're ready. It is a kid-friendly enviornment, we even have a kids eat free night. Does this warrant parents to allow their children to misbehave, make a mess on purpose, run around screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs, etc? There are some kids who will sit in their seats throwing food on the floor and the parents, rather than disciplining, will laugh at their children and make comments such as "Oh Johnny, how adorable", etc. It's ridiculous.

My job is to take orders, make food, and keep the dining room clean. Yes, I know it's inevitable for people to make messes, but it's ridiculous for parents to condone it, and LAUGH while it's being done.

Are there any polite things I can say to these people or is it one of those grin and bear it, vent to co-workers when they're gone types of situations? It's just really bugs me to have more food on the floor than what they ate (no exaggeration either).

If you're a parent who has allowed this, why? Why do you feel it's okay? I understand that it's my job, but there are so many other "behind-the-scene" things I do, that being forced to clean up a mess that could have been easily prevented by a parent saying "susie, please don't throw that on the floor". If you're a parent who will discipline their child rather than play along - Thanks!

I also don't mind when a child accidentally spills something - kids will be kids. I'm not here to complain (although I apologize because it probably sounds as if I am). I just want to know if there's anything I can do and WHY parents allow this misbehavior?

oh that's so annoying! makes you wanna kill the kid and the irresponsible parents! you could mention it to the manager and have them hire a 15 year old especially to clean up messes of it its a repeat offender and they say "oh look little johnny spilt his soda" say oh i'll be right back with some napkins. bring them a rag "to start off with" and say you'll be back. come back like 5 min later to just pick up the rag so maybe they'll get the hint that they need to set their kid straight.

Hey IM 16/f and I have pretty bad acne. It seems to be on my left side check area. I went to the doctor and they gave me this 300$ medicine. But when I use it, in about two days, my skin is VERY dry. And it depresses me. Im not the girl that looks in the mirror 24/7 all day during school, so I never really know when my skin goes dry.
Is there ANY way I can keep it from getting sooo dry. I put coco butter on in the morning before my make up, and I start school at 8 and around 9 its soo dry. I cant keep putting on coco butter bc it rubs off my make up. Any thing I can do.. So bc of the dryness I stop using the medicine, and my face gets HORRIBLE!..
PLEASE HELP!! I really want to have a pretty face!!

are you on ziana or something that contains tretinoin?
try curel lotion... put it on after showers or after washing your face [anytime youre not putting on the meds]
when you put on the medicine, don't use a lot. i tiny bit goes a long way.
i assume you use it before you go to bed? if you don't, i suggest it unless it says youre not supposed to.
put on lotion before your makeup and bring some with you for the rest of the day.
the cold weather makes your skin dryer so you're gonna need it more often.
you're gonna have to put it on during the day so maybe bring your make up with you to touch up.
[oh and ps, if you're using makeup made to clear up acne... don't. that makes me peel so that might be part of the problem.]
if all else fails, talk to your doctor and get something better.

would anyone consider smoking marijuana a drug problem. Not heavy smoking like everyday. but like maybe a few joints a month. they can go without using it for a a few weeks, so yeah, is it a drug problem? thanks a bunch y'all :D

What do you think about sex before being married. I don't know if it's wrong or right so I'm asking you. Please voice opinions and experience.

i think it's good to save sex for marriage because it's more special then, there's no issues with stds/unwanted pregnancies and it shows a lot of self control.
as for doing it before then, i guess it's fine if people really can't wait to get on it. it's not really viewed as "wrong" anymore but there are people who don't agree with it.
as for my opinion... i don't really care what people do, i just kinda worry/keep to myself.

welll when i was starting my mom told me to do from the knee down. thing is, i have hair on my thighs and she doesn't. start small and then if you're hairy, shave more/higher.

A few weeks ago I saw a girl with a pretty big bag/purse that had navy and white horizontal stripes on it. It looked worn (like it was supposed to be that). I'm pretty sure it was a dooney and bourke bag, but I am not totally sure.

Okay, so during april i broke up with my boyfriend. We were only together for 3 months but, they were amazing. he was almost exactly what i would want in a boyfriend. he was the first boy i actually really let into my life and get to know the real person who i was. The relationship ended because he wanted me to do things that i wasnt comfortable doing, so he broke it off and it ended really badly. It's november now, so its been a while, and i still can't really move on, usually im not like this. My friends just assume than i am over him because it has been so long, but I dont really know what to tell them. I don't want to have feelings for him anymore, but somehow i still do. I really dont know what to do, i cut off contact for the most part. He doesnt even go to my school, so its not like i see him either. i'm going through something similar. i don't even know why i care about him anymore and i guess it's just that i'm lonely or can't find someone to replace him yet so i miss him.
what i advise/what i'm doing [that's working pretty well] is to not talk to him. remind yourself how fun it is to be single. it's better to be alone than with someone who doesnt repect you. occupy yourself with other things... like clubs and maybe get a job. there are other guys out there better than this guy, i promise.

Ok well me and my girlfriend have been dating over 5 months now. She grew up with her grandparents and they have always been strict. Once she turned 18 and started college we figured things would be better and they were. Now all of a sudden they are trying to control and ruin her life. They are trying to prevent her from seeing me and from going on a trip with me to visit her mom in Florida. Thing is they don't even want her going to see her mother. All the have been doing is calling her and flipping on her about things. Now they even have her father after her who now thinks she is doing drugs which isn't true. My question to you is what else can we do to get them to just let us be? But wait there is a catch. They are paying for all her schooling and they keep money in her account and if she does the wrong thing they may not support her anymore. Please Help!!

maybe you guys shouldn't go see her mom... it seems like there's something they don't want her to see.
make sure she doesn't piss off her grandparents just to be with you... money for school is very important! just humor them and maybe they'll stop buggin out.
