dry skin bc of acne medicine Hey IM 16/f and I have pretty bad acne. It seems to be on my left side check area. I went to the doctor and they gave me this 300$ medicine. But when I use it, in about two days, my skin is VERY dry. And it depresses me. Im not the girl that looks in the mirror 24/7 all day during school, so I never really know when my skin goes dry.
Is there ANY way I can keep it from getting sooo dry. I put coco butter on in the morning before my make up, and I start school at 8 and around 9 its soo dry. I cant keep putting on coco butter bc it rubs off my make up. Any thing I can do.. So bc of the dryness I stop using the medicine, and my face gets HORRIBLE!..
PLEASE HELP!! I really want to have a pretty face!!
If you would like pictures of my face I will take some and show you. And some after a couple days with the medicine... Thank you soo much to anyone..

Lotion dries your face out and gives you acne because it clogs your pores, try buying some actual face lotion that wont clog your pores and you should be fine :] ]
this same thing happened to me.
your precription might be too strong. but no matter what your face is gonna peel.
i use a moisturizer from sephora by peter thomas roth. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
it works pretty good.
maybe you could try using a pill. my friend uses that and it seems to work pretty good for her. ]
are you on ziana or something that contains tretinoin?
try curel lotion... put it on after showers or after washing your face [anytime youre not putting on the meds]
when you put on the medicine, don't use a lot. i tiny bit goes a long way.
i assume you use it before you go to bed? if you don't, i suggest it unless it says youre not supposed to.
put on lotion before your makeup and bring some with you for the rest of the day.
the cold weather makes your skin dryer so you're gonna need it more often.
you're gonna have to put it on during the day so maybe bring your make up with you to touch up.
[oh and ps, if you're using makeup made to clear up acne... don't. that makes me peel so that might be part of the problem.]
if all else fails, talk to your doctor and get something better. <3
EDITTTT****
i recommend returning the makeup and getting physician's formula powder... it covers enough and it doesn't irritate your skin at all and its non-comedogenic.
[just get a sponge, dont use the brush it comes with]
anyway, you're welcome! <3 ]
