LoveNJstyle answered Tuesday November 27 2007, 10:47 am: I used to go there all the time with my family and from what i've seen, it seems easier than other places. since it's a buffet, all you really do is refill drinks and get rid of used plates. i think you get the same amount of tips as waitresses at other places where they have to take orders.
the hours and how fun it is probably vary on which one you work at, the manager, and the people.
golder corral out in the country is different than in the city, trust me!
so i know it's not first hand but if i was into waitressing, i would probably apply there. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
That site has a bit of information about the Golden Corral & jobs there. Every state is a bit different with their money, so I'd assume it would be minimum wage for a waitress which is somewhere between $3-$7 an hour depending where you live plus tips. Waitressing is very difficult [you should know since you've been a waitress], but I heard that restaurants like that have a very nice working environment. I definitely wouldn't say it's easy, but you can make it fun depending on the people you work with & the attitude you have. Obviously customers can sometimes make things a bit more difficult than they need to be. You'll go through a lot of training most likely, so you should talk to other waitresses & employees there. Every restaurant is a bit different.
