when people answer other people's questions with: go ask the doctor, isn't that kind of redundant? who goes all the way to the doctor's office to ask one little question anyway? what do they mean? just ask the doctor over the phone? what if your doctor is actually a pediatrician and might think you're a hypochondriac? i have tons of questions to ask my "doctor." i can't go ask every single time. write down the questions and ask the doctor the next time you visit for something semi-more important? Yes, soffees would be a good idea. And wear a tank/halter/tube top of some sort over your swim suit top. You can wear flip flops if you want to just be prepared to take them off every time you get on a ride. If you don't want to keep taking them off wear tennis shoes. It isn't THAT much of a hassle but I would go with the tennis shoes.
Also, leave earrings off. They don't allow earrings on most rides. Don't wear any jewelry for that matter.

Well that is mostly said when we have people that ask questions like "I have this weird rash and it's red. What's wrong with me?" We haven't seen the rash and there are 975957 different kinds of red rashes. Also things like "One of my pupils is bigger than the other. What's wrong?" It could be a number of things so next time you see your eye doctor, ask him too look at it. It's mostly for things that need to be looked at.

The big difference in AP is that you do most of the work on your own and go into much more detail. More so than honors classes. English AP isn't that bad at all but things like History can be extremely hard (in my opinion anyway). If you decide to take an AP class you need to be dedicated and work hard.

You take the PSAT your sophomore and/or junior year and your SAT your junior or senior year. Most people take PSATs junior year but I took my PSAT sophomore year and I'm taking it again my junior year before I take the real SATs. It's over Math, Critical Reading, and Writing. It used to be just Math and writting, I think, and the perfect score would be 800 on math and 800 on reading (1600 together). But now there are 3 sections at 800 each so the new perfect score is 2400.

Hey, 15/f/NC here searching for marching band help.
You see, I transfered from private to public school this year because my private school lacked the academics I needed to get into college. I've always been a huge band geek, so the moment I saw marching band listed as an elective with credit, I signed up.
The thing is, I don't know the slightest thing about marching band! Yes, I know how to play my instrument (flute), very well, in fact. But I have no idea what "steps" they use, etc. The playing my instrument while moving factor won't be that hard, but the actual steps might be.
Do you have any tips/tricks/heads-up information to offer? If you do, PLEASE answer. Your help, however small, will be greatly appreciated.

I play the flute in a marching band too! I love it! It actually isn't that hard, since it's a very light instrument. The flip-overs are the hardest things because sometimes they move while you're reading. Normally the bass drumer will hit the drum four times. Then you march four times in place, and then its left, right, left right, from there. Make sure you keep in step, if you're on the end of a row, make sure you're alligned with the person ahead of you, if you're not it looks bad. Do pay attention to things around you, you may be stopped wihtout realizing it because you're looking at your music. The biggest thing to worry about would be to keep the flute parrallell, because as you already know, the flute will drip spit on you if it's too far down and it sounds bad. Keep it alligned with your shoulder!

hey! You could talk to this person and tell her to not flirt so much because it does bother you. Or you could just not invite her, it is your party and you can do whatever you want. Don't let the confusion of inviting someone that is annoying get to you. Think about it for 10 minutes one night, and then decide, do i really want this person at my party? Forget what everyone else says, and think for yourself. If you truely don't want her there, don't invite her, and if she confronts you about it, tell the turth. Don't say "oh I had to shorten the list because there was too many." or anything like that, because when she finds out you lied, it will be worse. So if she does talk to you about it just be like " well I really didn't want you there because you're too much of a flirt and I don't want anyone getting mad or jealous of you at my party and complaining to me about it." or something like that. Be calm and relaxed about it, don't get angry and don't let her get angry. Tell her you're sorry that you didn't want her there and that she should tone it down a little with the guys.

Everyone says American Eagle is the best store, but personally I hate it. All of their t-shirts are basically the same things with different words and colors. A lot of their clothes are really bad quality. I bought a cami from there once and I only wore it once and a HUGE hole ripped and I wasn't even running around or anything. It may be a little cheaper then Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister, but atleast if you buy something from A&F or Hollister, you know the clothes are going to last. American Eagle's clothes arn't the most attractive things, and they look cheap. What do you think about AE? (link)

For the most part you're right. There was one point last year when their clothes just go so ugly I almost wanted to throw up when I went in there. But, I think they're getting better. Their jeans are pretty good but yeah, most of their shirts are absolute crap. Not all of them, but most of them. Those *sheer* shirts get holes in them all the time. And alot of the time AE's shirts get big when you wash them. The fabric stretches out. So you have a shirt that is short but wide.
I've also noticed that with some of Hollister's shirts as well though. But Hollister almost never sells those sheer type shirts so they're much better. And they don't get short and wide.
And I know Abercrombie & Hollister are the same company but it also seems as if A&F's shirts last longer than the Hollister ones. I'd much rather spend a little extra money to buy a good shirt than a shitty one, ya know?
Another store I hate is Forever21 lol. Their shirts don't last long either and the whole store is just so unorganized. It's impossible for me to find anything there. Aero too! People really shouldn't shop there after like 7th grade. And they also have those sheer shirts like AE that suck.
I just started buying a few things from Express and I have to say I'm in love. I mean no store can take away my A&F and Hollister (lol) but their clothes are good quality and pretty cute. So right now, the only stores I really shop at are HCO, A&F, and Express. Actually, sometimes Buckle too. I love their jeans, they're so comfortable and again, a bit more but theyre worth it.

so my boyfriend of 2 years broke up w/ me about 2 & a half months ago & I am still upset about it. Some days I hate him & other days I miss him & want him back. When he broke up w/ me he said @ first it was because I was possessive and then he told me he just wanted to be single for awhile. Well two weeks later he starts dating a girl who is 15 (he is 17) & she lives 3 hours away. And they only had met once before they started dating. I don't know what to do anymore. Ive been depressed for awhile & it feels like I will never get over it. Then school is going to start in less then a month and Im really scared to see him because I haven't seen him all summer and I loved it but Im afraid when I see him @ school Im going to get upset and the progress I had made will be gone. Do you think that his relationship is just a rebound? And he will ever call me again to apologize? I just want some answers but I dont want to talk to him until they break up. What should I do? I dont think I wuold take him back but as selfish as this is I would just like him to say he made a mistake and want me back so I can say no, you missed your chance.

Hey! It's very typical for a guy to say they want to be single and then go back and date someone else. It happens to almost every teenage girl. Relax about school, you'll cross that bridge when you get there. Try finding a guy that will support you and won't get mad the you're still really into this guy. His relationship is probably something more along the lines of getting you jealous so you'll want him back rather than a rebound. He knows it's making you upset and that's just how he wants it. You wait, he'll get rid of that girl and come right back to you before you crash. If you really love him, don't do that "no, you had your chance" crap because it will only make things worse. You've been upset for a while now and saying that to him and not getting him back will only make it worse. Try writing down the pros and cons about being without him and then the pros and cons of being with him. Whichever has the more pros, then you take. It will most likely be the being with him, but you decide.

An inexpensive powder....True Match by L'Oreal. It works well and they have so many shades that you'll defiantly find one that matches your skin tone(hence the name haha). It's only like 8 bucks.

Hello! You're not "fat", you may just be strong, or have some fat. I know this girl, she's 13, she's 5'4", and she wieghs almost 200 pounds. But she's not HUGE. or rolls of fat flopping over her jeans. She actually looks fine. She is really strong and her mom is semi-big so it is hierditory.
If you cannot loose weight even after exercising(do not go on diets, they are not healthy)and eating well, try getting a blood test. There are many things that could be wrong, causing you to gain weight and not loose it. Taking a blood test is free, just go to your local hospital, go to the Lab area(or ask at the reception area), you'll fill things out and then they'll draw your blood. You'll know in about a week if something is wrong.

15/f Hi. I was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions for after school jobs. I really need the money to save up to buy a car when I am 16 (about 6-7 months)
I'll be starting school in a few weeks and I want to plan ahead, maybe even start in the end of the summer.
The only problem is that I am 15.

Hello,
There are many different options for a summer job. A good one to get is a secretarial like job, because many companies like having young girls as secretaries. Later on in life, you can say that you are qualified in computer work and Microsoft Office, which is an assett to any type of job after you leave college.
Work at the local pool. Becoming a lifeguard is a great option that gives you the summer tan while getting paid! You also will get certified in CPR, which is very impressive. Lots of times, lifeguards get paid nice money too!
You could also take on other jobs at the pool or beach, like being a clerk.
Many churches also allow young girls to be at their main office to help out with paperwork!

you can get really crappy ones for 50-100 dollars, but those normally dont have the screen in the back. the really nice ones, that people like are normally about $200-300 (mine is $250)
