Im in love with my sisters kindof boyfriend. Theyve been on and off for two years now and weve all been friends since we were born. She keeps dating other people even though hes in love with her and she cheated on him like 80 times when they were going out. He still likes her.
Me and my sister are so alike. We look the same and have the same style and dress and talk the same and have the same things we like and stuff not even on purpose. All my friends say theyre surprised to see her walk into a room while shes talking cuz they think its me.
I am in love with this guy. Ive loved him for a year. He is the nicest guy ever and my sister is in aniother stage where she doesnt want to have anything to do with him and hurts him all the time bcuz she is destructive. I could make him so happy. He would love me if he realized that im exactly like her except younger and nice. How do i get him to like me?
14/F Shes three years older than me and so is he.
This is not a good road you are heading down. Really I wish you all the best and all that, but this sounds like it could end ugly. First off, the age difference is really big at this stage in your life. Secondly, your sister may come to really resent you for doing this.
If you even consider something like this, I think you should talk to your sister first. I dont know what sort of relationship you have with her, but amongst friends thats what we would do.
Now, you do realise the this guy will be a legal adult in one year? The crowd he hangs with is very likely different from yours. This relationship will be strained to the breaking point before it even got started.
In the end, if you persue this, your only real option is to have a talk with the guy, or to find a way to spend time with him. In the end the only way to make someone fall in love with you is to spend time with them. Theres no magic formula, either there is chemistry or there isnt. This is also why you could be the indentical twin of your sister and that does not always mean he would love you too (he might... but theres no guarantee).
However, I think there is a fair chance that you could end up hurt and maybe embarassed as well (if he doesnt keep his mouth shut). Just thought I should warn you.
Best of luck.
hey guys! well, i'm 14/f, and i'm really looking to loose some weight. i've been working out some, but i don't really want to tell my mom and dad that i'm going to try and loose some weight, because that kinda stuff is kinda embarrasing to me. i asked my mom if i could make a shopping list and go grocrey shopping with her, so i could pick out some of my own healty foods. on my list i already have 1. Honey Nut Cherios 2. Orange Diet ocean spray drink and 3.those 100 calorie pack things of Doritos. what else is healthy that i could pick up at a grocrey store, but tastes good, and isn't too obvious that i'm going to loose some weight? i don't really like salads too much, i've tried eating them but there just not for me. so i would really appreactiate the help!! my mom is going grocrey shopping this friday so anything before friday!! thanks!!!!
Ok, no offence, but your list so far is not very good. Nr1 and nr3 are not good for you, and in no way qualify as health foods (I have no clue what nr 2 is, been a while since i was in the US, but if it has nutrasweet chuck it out). nr1 has sugar added and nr 3 has plenty of bad fat. They qualify as empty calories and are therefore a total waste.
Good wholesome foods include things like:
Chicken, turkey, very lean beef, tuna, eggs/ egg whites, cottage cheese (particularly), oats (plain nothing added), whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, brown rice, potatoes, fruits of all sorts, veggies of all sorts.
A meal must be composed around a good protein source (e.g. the first things I listed up to and incl cottage cheese). Then you need a moderate carb source (e.g. a potato, 50g pasta) cooked in a good way... i.e. baked or boiled, not fried. Adding veggetables (also carbs but low on calories) is a good idea too.
Then, you need a small amount of good fat. This is found in: good oils (e.g. extra virgin olive oil, canola, flax, etc), olives, nuts of all sorts (unsalted, you want to keep salt content down in general), flax seeds, oily fish, etc.
So, now we have potential meals: Breakfast possibilities: 1. oats in skim milk, 2. A boiled egg, a few of extra egg whites (also boiled), a slice of whole wheat toast and some fruit
Main meals: 1. some sort of lean meat from list (say 100- 150 grams), 50g pasta/ 75g rice/ a potato, veggies
Late meals: 1. 200g cottage cheese, a small portion of nuts/ olives, an apple. 2. If you use protein shakes (not a bad idea), you could replace the cottage cheese with that.
Ideally I would try to fit in at least 4 meals a day, eating every 4 hours or so. And of course, be active and exercise.
Ok this was long. It gets to me a bit when I see the marketing gimmicks actually pay off. Those 100 cal packs are nothing more than a different way to sell crap that is bad for you. It still doesnt change the fact that it is crap.
Anyways, best of luck.
Edit: Like I said I dont know nr2. The main concept I was trying to get accross is that its not about calorie counting. The real question is where are those calories coming from, whether there are 100 or 1000 of them. Most often diet drinks are a pile of rubbish. In fact, nothing really beats water and one should rarely drink anything else.
ok so i have one of the flattest butts i have ever seen and i really want to make it bigger but look fit. does anybody know any excercise routines i can do or anything? thanks!
There are a few here:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.php?MainMuscle=Glutes
If you can make it to a gym, regular deadlifts (not listed in the link probably because they hit so many other muscles too) are really awesome exercises as well. Like squats they hit a whole load of muscles which makes them very very effective.
I would suggest a routine, but I dont know if you have access to weights or a gym or something. The general suggestion would be to pick a couple of exercises and do them twice a week for 3 sets of 8 reps each.

About a week ago I pinched a girl on the buns in a parking lot because I thought it was an old friend of mine. Well, it wasn't! So she turned around, put one hand on my shoulder to hold me still, cocked her other arm back and said: "I hope it was worth it". Then she punched me right in the mouth....and HARD!!!! She knocked out my 2 front teeth!! Asked me if I learned my lesson and I said: "Yes ma'am".
Do you think I deserved it? The worse part about it is that I had to go home and explain it to my wife. Now, not only do I have to go without for 6 months, I have to make her breakfast in bed every morning for 6 months!! Do you think I have it coming just for pinching another girl on the bottom??
Absolutely not. For heavens sake be a man. It was a mistake, and thats that. I would not have taken the first punch to the face if I had been you, and most certainly not punishment afterwards from your wife.
You act like you are forced into this. How can someone force you to make them breakfast? You are an adult and this is not your mother.
Also as for the sex thing (if I understood the "without" correctly). I would never ever allow sex to become a bargaining chip. Is she saying that she doesnt normally enjoy it? Is she normally doing it as a favour to you, not as a mutual thing? Because thats what its sounding as now. I would have a talk with the wife and change things up a bit if I were you.
If I did misunderstand the "without" part, then whatever you are going without lol, get it back.
You are suppposed to be equal in a relationship, and this is not it.
Edit: Wait... she asked you if you learnt your lesson after she punched you and you said yes? Seriously man, she knocked your teeth out, how could you possibly think you deserved that?
im trying to lose weight and i figured that the best approach would be to eat 6 small, healthy meals every few hours, and do a total of 2 hrs of cardio. if i continue that, how much weight do you guys think i would lose in a month? my current weight is 168 right now. thanks.
Its not a question of how much as such, since you should not really aim for more than 2 lbs a week (any more is unhealthy).
That being said, if you eat sensibly within your current meal plan, you should have no problem losing those 2lbs (which would be some 8lbs a month or so).
Btw 2 hours of cardio sounds like a heck of a lot. Be careful you dont over exert yourself. Remember rest days here and there too.
Good luck
There has been recently a bomb scare at my sister's high school. A custodian found on the wall : MHS WILL BLOW UP 3/22". Now they are investigating the whole school, screening backpacks, and sending in bomb sniffing dogs. Should we let my sister go to school on the 22nd? Or stay home for a few days because it might happen on another day.
thanks
I agree with the answer below. A day or two off school is not going to make a difference one way or the other, so keep her home. Its probably nothing, but better safe then sorry in my opinion.
so tell me, this is my plan
in the mornings eat: Special K Mozzeralla cheese Fruit & have OJ or Tea. & 50 crunches
in the afternoon: for lunch.. water and idk yet. & 100 crunches & run/walk at least 2 miles
in the night: water, main meal, & fruit. & 50 crunches & go to the gym with cardio for about 40 mintues.
&& for snacks eat like carrots and no soda just water or 100% fruit juice..
now will that help me lose weight? will it show results? please tell me! lol how long do you think it will take? ergh is this right? sooo many questions!
Ok first of all congrats on starting to set up your diet and exercise routine. Its a good start, although I have a few suggestions to improve it. Let me start with the exercises:
- First of all there is no need to train abs three times a day. There is no benefit to this at all (remember fat cannot be spot reduced). Training abs say two or three times per week is plenty. Keep in mind that overtraining a muscle, and not giving it the time it needs to recuperate will have adverse effects.
- Great effort with the cardio. Just remember to take a rest day, say once a week or so. Listen to your body and if you feel stressed decrease the work load.
The diet:
First of all, you need to see what you should eat for lunch and dinner. Its a great step that you cut out soda and junk, that will go a long way.
Remember that if you are going to push your body you need to feed it right. You need a good solid 4- 5 meals every day, particularly since you are interested in losing fat not muscle (which will occur if you eat too little). It is also better for your metabolism, and it will give you more energy as well.
When you compose your meal, base it around a good lean protein source, like skinless chicken/ turkey, tuna, lean beef, low fat cottage cheese etc. Then add a moderate amount of carbs (say a potato, or 50g whole wheat pasta, or 75g of rice, or some fruit etc). Oh and remember veggies as well of course. Lastly you need a small amount of good fat every day (from good oils, unsalted nuts, oily fish etc).
You can use this very basic formula for all your meals except perhaps breakfast, and its very hard to go wrong.
Your specific questions:
1- yes you will lose weight with what you posted up there, depending of course that you eat sensibly for lunch and dinner. If you improve the diet though there will be less muscle loss and you will have a healthier body.
2- yes it will show results... same answer as above really
3- Your target weight loss should be max 2 pounds a week. It is not healthy to do more. With a good diet you can lose that much in a healthy way. How long it takes depends on how much you want to lose.
I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled in a couple of days and I am really scared! If you have had yours out...
-does it hurt
-is going under weird, what does it feel like
-should i be scared
Thanks
Hal
Ive had mine out some years back. I chose local anesthetic though, so I dont know what its like to be put under.
Some people have bad stories, and I know everyone was very intent to tell me how much it would hurt. The thing is I got through it fairly easily. I had them out Friday, and everyone said i would be unable to do anything in the weekend and probably not go to school Monday. I was playing tennis by Sunday (possibly Saturday I dont remember).
It does hurt, so you need to have good painkillers and also ice packs ready. Also for me my parents (who are doctors btw) made me rinse my mouth out very frequently to avoid food and such getting stuck in the cavities. The real problems come if the area gets infected, which happens often apparently. In my case it did not, I assume largely because of the frequent rinsing (I dont remember what they made me use, perhaps you could ask the dentist).
All in all nowhere near the nightmare that people warned me it would be (and I did have all of them out too btw). In fairness I recall my dad saying that in all his years he never saw anyone get over it as fast as I did, so maybe Im not the best example. However, whatever the case may be, there is no reason to be scared. You will have a few unpleasant days which, in the big picture, will soon be nothing more than a memory. Its nothing you cant handle, and with proper care and good painkillers you will be just fine.
Best of luck.
what does sex with no strings attached mean? and please don't give me a link...
Darn... from the title of the question I was hoping it was an offer lol.
Seriously though, it means sex without a relationship or any sort of "deeper" feelings. Sex just for the sake of sex and absoltutely nothing else.
People always say like "you know what a guy with big feet means." and other things. Is there really a way to tell how big a guys penis is without seeing it?
Please let me know as much as possible.
-Alex
They are right that you cannot tell exactly with a guy until you see it. There is no exact relationship between a part of his body and his penis.
However, they ran a program on this once, and the size is correlated with height. That means that smaller guys are more likely to have a smaller penis and vice versa. However, as the example in the previous example shows, this is a probability not a certainty.
I do cardio 5-6 days a week, but I'm interested in starting weight training/strength training. I have a few questions about this:
1) I am doing abs/arms tuesdays, thursdays, and saturdays, and lower body mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. Can I do these all on one days (ex. monday, wednesday, friday?)
2) Can I do abs every day? I have heard mixed opinions. Some people say it's ok to do abs everyday and others say that because abs are a muscle, I should only work them 3 days a week.
3) Do I need to be doing alot of different sorts of weights to see work (ex. Lots of different machines for arms and free weights, etc) or will just a few different exercises show results?
THANKS!!!
Im not sure I understand the split you have chosen. There are a number of ways to divide your body up, and these include full body routines, two day splits (usually done twice a week for 4 days of training), or 3 day splits (done once a week).
I will try to answer question 1 and 3 together. What you need to do is to focus on compound free weight exercises. Compound exercises (which work multiple muscle groups) are superior to isolation, particularly for a beginner. In this way, you wont need to do so many of them either, since the effects will overlap.
In your body division I see arms, abs and lower body. Unless I misunderstood something, I dont see chest, shoulders and upper back. May I suggest a three day split that looks something like this:
Day 1: Push
Chest
Shoulders
Triceps
Day 2: Pull
Back
Biceps
Day 3:
Legs (quads, hamstrings, calves)
This is best done with a day or so inbetween, e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday. This split gives you plenty of recovery time. Otherwise you could do something like:
Day 1 (upper body)
Day 2 (lower body)
And then train each twice a week e.g. Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri for example.
I am not an expert on designing a routine for a total beginner. However, I would suggest that you go relatively light the first month or two, taking one or two exercises per muscle group. I would keep reps between 8 and 12, not to failure, to allow your body to adapt to the stress. After a couple of months I would switch to a more intensive routine.
As for exercises, I have a link below. However, remember to focus on multiple joint free weight exercises (e.g. squat, deadlift, bench press, military press, etc). There really is no substitute for the squat and deadlift. Avoid machines and that sort of thing. Start with one or two exercises per muscle group.
Here is a link to a site that has a ton of exercises including the ones I mentioned:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm
Now... onto the abs. The reason people's opinion is divided here i think is due to 1. people have different intensity routines (that hit the abs indirectly to greater or lesser degrees), and 2. people respond differently to different schedules. I have read about bodybuilders (good ones) who virtually never train abs directly. Others do it often. I do it once a week on my leg day and thats plenty for me. I find that the compound exercises do more than enough (using the abs as stabilizers). Just as a suggestion, why not start by training them twice a week and see how they feel? Get into your new routine and give your body a chance to give you some feedback.
Hope this was not too confusing. Good luck in your training.
My best friend ever is anorexic.. shes 5'3 and has to weigh like 105 noww, she didnt eat for like 3 dayss.. she has absolutely no ass now, and she's had this problem when she was 12, now she is almost 15... I feel as if i tell her parents, she'll get depressed. me and her are going on a cruise for spring break in 25 dayss..i dont want her to get sick, depressed. she is soo skinny. shes always complaining how cold she is, she cant sleep... shes always light headed. my mom knows she iss, butrecently shes been claiming to be eatingg.. but ive been with her and shes been lying to her mom about like eating in school. ive tried talkin to her, and i think that gettin her real help will make things worse. but idk.. she may be depressedd
any advicee? thankss
Normally I dont answer a question that already has so many responses. However, in this case, I think it merrits to add my voice to the choir so to speak.
Tell this girls parents asap. You are NOT betraying her friendship, even if she might think that you are. This person is ill, she cannot be treated as a regular healthy human being. This is clearly something that you cannot help her with. What she needs is professional help (they have medicine for depression amongst other things).
Just remember, she is very seriously endangering her life and her future health. As a friend I think it is your duty to do something, and you should probably act fast too.
Good luck.
Hey im a teenager and I need to save up for a big trip like 7000 dollars. Would I look really bad if I got a part=time job for like six or seven months just to save up for the trip? Or would that be too shallow?
I agree with the person below. If thats what you want go for it. If anything I think it shows a great deal of commitment and determination to do it. Wish I had that when I was young lol, but all I did was party...
i heard that if you eat only cottage cheese and water for i think two weeks, youll lose 10 lbs. is this true?..
Oh my goodness. It could be true I suppose. It would depend how much cottage cheese you ate. Its really not a very good idea at all though, particularly since one shouldnt really lose 5lbs in one week.
Cottage cheese is high on protein and low on fat and carbs (particularly low fat cottage cheese). The idea behind this little diet of yours is that you omit most carbs from your diet. Generally I am not fond at all of zero carb diets, but this one is even worse since you dont get anywhere near the nutrients that your body needs to stay fit and healthy.
Bad idea if you were considering it imo.
Edit: Seemed to have overlapped with Mike... I guess the answer is "no" :)
I am a 13/f about 5'3 and weigh 134. My best friends are all like your not fat. And I am like haha have you seen me. I have a lot of muscle on my arms and legs but I do have some stomach fat. Like I am not huge, but I am not considered skinny either. My doctor says that I am average, but I feel so fat. Also I have like a huge waist. I want to look good in a bathing suit this summer, and look thin asap. I have tried dieting, didnt work. Exercising once a day, didn't have time, eating healthy, cant resist junk food. I do play sports and stuff but i dont have to work out and all that. Can anyone help me find a way to lose weight that wont damage my body, and will help me lose like 10 pounds in the next 2 weeks. Also how can i lose my huge waist?? Thanks for your help :)
Love,
Miss Fatty x0x0
The person below was correct in telling you that losing 10 lbs in 2 weeks can be harmful. One should really never lose more than 2 pounds a week. You might want to revise the rating you gave that person since she was only looking out for your best interest (also 1s are only given for abusive answers).
If you want to lose weight, follow these simple steps over the next few months:
- Eat frequently (4-6 meals a day)
- Eat balanced meals containing good amounts of protein, moderate amounts of carbs and small amounts of good fats. Good fats are found in different types of fish, nuts and good oils for example.
- Eat 500 cals or so less than you burn
- Stay away from saturated fats
- Minimise empty calories from junk foods and such
- Drink plenty of water
There is no magic formula here. You get what you put in. Its really that simple. You dont need to be perfect and cut out all the junk, but the more you leave in, the harder it will be to get results.
Also, this sort of thing takes time. Miracle solutions either dont work, or have temporary effects. Instead of two weeks, give yourself a few months. You are only 13 and have all the time in the world to do this right.
Good luck.
ok,well i have like no fat on my body, except my lower stomache. what excersises should i do to get rid of it by summer? also, what are some really healthy snacks? one more thing,im only 13,and a 32A,so if i eat,and work out with stomache excersises, i wont loose my "boobs" will i? like,if i eat alot,to gain breat weight, and then work out only my stomache area, will that work? thanks for your help,i hope someone answers this one!
No, it wont work. Trust me on this. Your body can only gain or lose weight. It is totally unable to lose weight from one area and gain it in another. Furthermore (and most importantly to your question) fat loss can never, ever, be targetted through exercise. Thats simply a myth which is way too popular here on advicenators.
You can exercise and diet to lose weight, or you can eat to gain weight. You cannot do crunches or situps or whatever to lose stomach fat. Those exercises build muscle on the stomach and thats more or less it. Their only value in the fat buring process is their calorie burning, which is very little. Therefore, you are far better off doing full body workouts and cardios if you want to lose weight.
So you got to make a choice. If you try to lose weight, genetics will determine which area is emphasised in the fat loss process. So, you are in real risk of losing your boobs as you put it. If I were you, I would just live with a little stomach fat for a few more years. Let your body develop fully since you are still so young, and then see if you stil consider it a problem a bit down the line.
Sorry if this is not what you had hoped to hear. Good luck.
Edit: healthy snacks include fruit, unsalted nuts in small quantities (all sorts really), low fat yoghurt, carrots, etc.
i like smoking...and i am 19 and believe it or not. i have never lit a lighter! i always had my friends do it. well i want to smoke on my own and i have a lighter. but no idea how to use it. its a regular lighter and has this pushy down button and this circle thing that moves when you turn it .. kind of like a wheel. it has lots of fluids in it and it smells when i push the button. and theres also a slot that goes to
+ and when i turn it it goes to -
so what slot do i put it on and how do i make it light? hurry please (:
p.s i had no clue what category to put this under.
Loool you got to be kidding me. This question made my day. Here is the way it works:
First you need two sticks. Then you got to crack open the lighter and pour the liquid onto a piece of toilet paper. Then, you rub the two sticks over the paper, waiting for a spark. Eventually the spark will hit the paper and you will have fire!
Smoking is really bad for your health btw. If you have really never lit a lighter, you are not really a smoker. If thats the case, in all seriousness dont start becoming a regular now. As an ex smoker let me tell you it is such a dangerous and hard habit to break you will hate yourself some years down the line.
how do i turn on my guy without having sex?
m 17yrs old,female,from malaysia
Just to add to the answer below, remember also guys are very visual. We get turned on just by looking (more than females as far as Ive been told). So, what you wear, what you do with what you wear (hehe), all that stuff is very important to guys. You get the idea, you can really tease a guy visually with what you do, and with what you dont reveal. Thats one reason we are such suckers for sexy and provocative attire, sometimes it does more than seeing a nude female.
Otherwise I would say just remember to "attack" all his senses lol. Sight, touch, hearing, etc etc. Whisper the right nothings in his ear, tease him with your touch... how could it go wrong?
Have fun.
If you stop eating meat in general, it can help weight loss?
***EDIT***: Wow, I misdread the question... thats a first. My apologies, I was in a real rush there.
I was a vegetarian for six years (I missed the whole meat thing altogether) or so in my twenties. I can safely say that it does not categorically help you lose weight. Sometimes some temptations are by default easier to overcome, but you can easily get fat as a veggie (particularly if you still eat dairy).
So, I would say the answer is probably "true" since it can help, but not by much, and its in no way a guarantee.
Once again... ooops. And thanks for not giving me the 2 my answer deserved :)
okay i have one question. How can pornstars have so much sex and not seem to get diseases or pregnant?
The pregnant part is easy enough. They use the pill which is almost completely effective. Im sure that accidents do happen though.
For the disease part I agree with ygsgirl, we dont know what kind of diseases they get. I do know that pornstars have to produce proof that they have been tested for HIV (maybe also other diseases) before every shoot. That means being tested far far more often than the average person. That minimises the risk somewhat.
