jobs Hey im a teenager and I need to save up for a big trip like 7000 dollars. Would I look really bad if I got a part=time job for like six or seven months just to save up for the trip? Or would that be too shallow?

no if you need money and no way to get it a job is perfect ]
I think it's a great idea. =) It can teach repsonsibility & maturity. ]
Of course not. Why would that be bad? You need the money, so you have the right to get a job and make some. When you quit, just make sure you give them your two-week notice so you'll have a better chance of being hired if you apply anywhere else. ]
I agree with the person below. If thats what you want go for it. If anything I think it shows a great deal of commitment and determination to do it. Wish I had that when I was young lol, but all I did was party... ]
That isn't shallow at all. It's perfectly fine for you to want to get a part-time job just to pay for your trip- I'd do the same thing. In fact, many young people do that; how else are you going to pay for the expenses? Many young people who work part-time do so temporarily in order to pay off different expenses (school, vacation, bills, etc.). I think it's actually a good idea for you to work several months to pay off the expenses. ]
