Does anyone know any really good books about stuff like romance, death, depression, all that fun stuff. i have already read the lovely bones and it is my absolute FAVORITE book. nothing to happy...but does anyone know a really good book that has the same kind of mood as the lovely bones.
Oh yeah...and P.S. there is this one book my friend was telling me about where this woman loses all her money and sells her daughter to this prostitute house. its called like "reading me love" but i could never find it...i dont even know if thats the title!! Thanks.

I think you would like V.C. Andrews. Her books have a lot of tragic romance, and twisted plots with death and depression. Start with "Flowers in the Attic". If you have ever seen the movie, the book is ten times better, and creepier.

P.S. Your book "Reading me love" sounds a lot like a book called, "Moll Flanders."

this guy and i have been liking eachother for over a year and things are starting to happen. he has slept with 6 girls ao i guess he might be considered a "whore" im a virgin and he knows that and he told me that he liked me enough not to have sex with me. the thing is that i want to have sex with him. i think im ready and i trust him completely. i just dont know if im too young or if i might regret it so i kind of need some help. by the way im 16 if that helps at all..

If you have to ask if you are ready, then you are not. Don't rush into sex, especially with a guy that likes to get around, because he will mostly likely leave you behind in the end. You are still very young. I would wait before you do something you regret.

I just recently moved out of my house and into my uncles house and he is a hardcore Christian man and believes that anything not christian is "of the devil", I myself am a follower of the old pagan type religions and he kind of found out and alwayz makes little jabs at me for not believing in god and tells me im going to hell and i dont know how to deal with it..if i tell him that i dont believe in god, he might kick me out of his house....what should i do...pretend not to believe what i do or tell him to stop?

Nobody can tell you what you can and cannot believe. Be yourself and follow your beleifes. If he treatens to kick you out ask him if that is the christian thing to do. His God is a forgiving God.

I am 16-f. For a month or so now... i have been having horrible leg pains. Like achey. They hurt so bad I can't sleep sometimes. I was thinking it could be growing pains... but I am almost done growning. (I'm 5'8) and even when I was like 12 and growing... my legs didnt hurt this much. What could this possibly be from and any suggestions how to cure it? (besides the obvious: medicine) Thanks so much!

Leg cramps are a sign of dehydration. Did you know 50% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Are you drinking enough water everyday? This could be a simple solution.

Hi everyone! I probably sound a little dumb, but I never knew what's going on with politics and stuff.... I just wanted to know, since elections are today, when do we get to know who the winner is? Do we get to know tonight or tomorrow? Can someone please tell me because I want to know who wins the presidential elections! Thanks so much!

It would be hard to miss the winner of the election. Presidental coverage will be all over the media. Anywhere you look you will be bombared by it. Polls close at 8pm. The winner may not be dertemined until late evening, early morning. Although the last presidental election Bush wasn't truely determined the winner until December, but that was Florida's falt, lol.

I am in high school, and I have never (with a few exceptions, like lipgloss) worn makeup.

I barely know the difference between eyeshadow and eyeliner! Blush and Foundations! Okay, so maybe these are slight exaggerations... But I need help.

Even when I read magazines like Seventeen and Ellegirl, and try to understand the 'makeup tips'...I can't. I'm unfamiliar with the terms, and I don't even know the basics of applying makeup.

I know I sound like a total loser, but there is a reason that I have to post this on the internet instead of asking my friends like normal person would do. (It's a bit complicated, and if you *really* want to know you can email me xxlierre@yahoo.com to ask, though I doubt it)

I mean, when I want to 'dress up' I find that I can't because I don't know a single flipping thing about mascara, blush, etc.

Thank you!

Well I am not a big make-up person either. I wear mine very natural. A little fondation, blush and lipstick. And eyeshadow on occasion. Mascara and eyeliner I just find annoying. The best suggestion I can give you is to go to a make-up counter at a department store and have one of the girls give you a tutorial. Don't feel embarassed because that's their job, and it's completly free. I presonally recommend Clinque because I can get oil free products and it's more affordable than others. For make-up I always say less is more. I don't like the fake caked on look. And from the guys I know, they all like natural looking girls. But it still takes a little make-up even to look natural. Good Luck!

Soooo I dont want to date in high school, because guys are too immature and most of them just want to do me and I'm not into that. I want to start dating when I'm in college, but arent college guys like that too? Horny and all? I want a real relationship!! I'm not saying I wont have sex, I just want to wait until I'm 20+ or maybe even when I'm married. When's a good time to go out with guys and where the guy wont think he'll be getting stuff?

I know where you are comming from. I didn't start dating until I was in college either. It totally depends on the person, but for the most part guys are all much more mature, and so are you. You'll know when the right guys come along, and you will know even more when the wrong ones do.

okay well theres this boy.. hes 15 i think and im 13/f
hes the kinda guy who does drugs, drinks, does stuff with girls, everything like that..
hes really nice to me and he talks to me a lot. he says he likes me but idk if he really does cuz he might just be fooling around. he touches me in the halls n stuff but him and his gf of 6 or 7 months just broke up a few days ago because he made out with someone else and lied to his gf about it. well some of my friends are sayin i should ask him out but idk what he will say. what do u think? thanks! :) (sorry so long)

Well your only 13. Do you want to be involved with drugs, drinking and sex? Because that is what he is into. Personally I think you are both too young for any of that. I'd say forget him and wait for a better guy to catch your eye. I promise there are better guys than that.

ok, well, i was babysitting the other night for these people and they were each going off to do their own thing. well, the mom left first, and the dad was supposedly leaving pretty quickly after, but instead he hung around for awhile. i was like, ok, um..why am i here if youre gonna sit around? well, i soon found out. he wasnt going anywhere. he put his kids in thier bedroom while i was cleaning something up, and he came up behind me and started grabbing me. he told me that if i yelled, hed kill me. well, i punched him where the sun dont shine and he let me go, but im sure that if i hadnt got away, he would have attacked me. but now i dont know what to do. he didnt rape me or anything, so should i really tell someone about it? all he did was grab me. they cant put you in jail for that, can they? im just wondering what i need to do about him....im supposed to go babysit again next week, and i cant exactly tell her why i dont wanna do it..so...HELP PLEASE

Yes, tell someone imediately! This man has threatend your life. Don't fool yourself into thinking it was nothing serious, because it is. And yes, what he has done could put him in jail. Take some action.

I went out with a boy for 2 years and i loved him alot. About a week ago he broke up with me bc he was scared of what he was going to do while he was away. Now im on a couple of websites and i met this kid whos really sweet and we have soo much in common and i am really starting to like him. now i have 2 questions, do you think it is too early to start going out with someone? and he leaves like an hour away from me .. what should i do?

please helppp

It is up to whether or not you are ready for another relationship. I would be warry of online relationships though, how can you be in a relationhip with someone you have never even met? You sound young and must not have transportation if you think an hour is too far away. I would say stick with the boys you have access to for now.

Whats the best type of cleaner to clean
dishes?
wood tables?
tile floors?

1 part water 1 part vinagar.

This is a cheap and very effective way to clean floors, and it's chemical free! Non-harmful to children or pets. I keep a spray bottle around as well to clean the counters.

Please help me if you would. I have a big time problem, I have had a headache for a week, It is not like any normal headache. It's like KILLER PAIN. I have been to the doctor, he put me on a few pain medicines. Nothing is helping what so ever. I also have a blisters in my throat, and a red rash is spreading over it. Today I noticed that I am getting black spots in my mouth now. Could it be a brain tumor? What else? Im getting VERY scared. Someone out of the kindness of your heart, please help, thank you very much. God Bless You

RockiinPiink10

Get a second opinion from another doctor. Don't take everything your doctor tells you as truth and go home and think your ok. Your symptoms sound serious. And this is not the place to get correctly diagnoised. Go see a doctor.

well.. i'm in 8th grade. i feel way too old to go out trick or treating, but i have nothing else to do!! plus, nobody is going with me. should i just go for my last time, or skip it?? when did everyone else stop??

Deffinately do not go by yourself it's unsafe, and kinda pathetic, especialy at your age. And yes I would say you are a little old for "trick or treating" anyways. Stay home and watch scary movies with your friends or family, and hand out the candy instead. You could still wear a costume.

I have bitten my nails for as long as I can remember and now they are very short and small. I have tried absolutely every trick in the book to give up but I always give up and start biting again. I can't help it, I always set out with the willpower to give up but I'll get bored in a lesson and start to chew. My boyfriend and all my friends and family think it's disgusting and are always trying to get me to stop but I can't, what should I do?

Get regular manicures, or if you can't afford it, have a friend paint them for you. Having nicely painted nails will help discourage you from taking a bite.

Hi Guys..Ok I know this is going to sound ignorant comming from a 22 year old but I really dont know. I am signing up for a gym membership, But I have never been worked out in a gym before. I am tring to tone my belly, sides, and legs, and loose a couple pounds. should I use certain machines how long on each. should I get in a certain rutine. If any of you go to a gym let me know what works for you and what you might think will work me. Thanks a lot guys

Actually, when you join a gym they usually have an orientation/tour of some sort and give you all that information. They have fitness people, and nutritionists to help you make a fitness plan and how to execute it. And often this service is free with the membership.

Hello, I am a 14 year old young lady and I am a freshman in high school! I am also in a Graphic Arts class which I love! Since you're a Graphic Designer, I wanted to ask you if Graphic Arts will help me in Interior Design. I want to become an Interior Designer and I was told that if I went into Graphic Arts, it would help me in Interior Design! Please help! Thank you so much!

Yes, graphic arts is a great skill to have as an interior designer. At the college I went to many of my intro classes had interior designers as well to learn basic layout and color skills. When I was your age I as well wanted to be an interior designer, but found that graphics could potential be a higher paying career field. They are very simular in many respects. Take in as much as you can while the classes are free! Good luck!

i have this dog who is two years old, and i love him sooo much. the problem is, he has gotten my other dog pregnant twice, and each tie we had a horrible time trying to give the puppies away. My parents are furious, and they want to castrate him. i just cant bear the though of him losing his gender! just in case any of you know, what happens when you castrate a dog? are there any side effects?

Getting your dog neutered is not an inhumane thing. It will calm him down a bit, and he will loose his sexual drive. If you adopt a pet from the humane society, it is the law to have them nutered. There are enough homless pets in the world, don't continute to make more because you are worried about hurting your dogs feelings. And your dog won't loose his gender, I would say that the majority of dogs are nutered.

out of the kindness of our hearts my husband and I opened the door of our home to my son and his wife. (Just til they get back on their feet) its been 2 years and they are still here!!! My son won't keep a job and is lazy!! He will cook every now and then. Both my husband and I work. my problem is HOW DO I GET THEM OUT OF MY HOUSE?? they have nowhere to go. ITs been 2 years and the daughter-in-law has her first time to wash a dish or sweep a floor. She does not cook or clean.Does only their laundry(I usually have to put it in the dryer-so I can use machine) they pay no rent, nothing on electric(they use a personal electric heater in winter and air conditioner in summer) or water (I pay for city water by the gallon)they eat out a lot and go to the movies all the time...I can't because I can't afford it. so what do I do? how can I tackfully get them to leave? any advise will be appreciated.

Unless you put your foot down they will continue to take advatntage of you. They may not even realize what a toll they are taking on you. Give them a deadline of how long they are welcome, and explaine that you can no longer afford to support them. Unless your son has a goal, he will not be motivated to find a job. Right now he has no reason to find a job. Why work if you have a free place to live? Continue to remind them as the deadline gets closer that they will be leaving and offer the help look for appartments. It's time to stop being so nice. Don't be afraid to hurt their feelings, because they are obviously not worried about your feelings. It's time for them to grow up.

I'm 15 years old and currently have a job that pays $5.80/hour...8 hours a day...that means around $40. I work 5 days a week and the paychecks are every two weeks. What would you do to keep from spending all your money at once? Please help...

$$$$-*Money Spender*-$$$$

Do automatic deposit. The bank can split your check however you like, and half can go into a savings account, and the rest can go into your checking account. If you never get you hands on the money, you can't spend it.

What age do you consider to be old enough to have a baby. Not like.. "when you feel you are ready" or anything like that.. i mean like.. 16.. 20..

how old do you think someone should be before they have a baby?

Not only do you have to be mentaly ready to have children, you need to be finacialy stable. If you are unable to support yourself, how are you going to support a child? You are old enough when you can independantly handel the responsibility. There is no magic number.
