Makeup Virgin =|

Question Posted Monday November 1 2004, 7:56 pm

I am in high school, and I have never (with a few exceptions, like lipgloss) worn makeup.

I barely know the difference between eyeshadow and eyeliner! Blush and Foundations! Okay, so maybe these are slight exaggerations... But I need help.

Even when I read magazines like Seventeen and Ellegirl, and try to understand the 'makeup tips'...I can't. I'm unfamiliar with the terms, and I don't even know the basics of applying makeup.

I know I sound like a total loser, but there is a reason that I have to post this on the internet instead of asking my friends like normal person would do. (It's a bit complicated, and if you *really* want to know you can email me xxlierre@yahoo.com to ask, though I doubt it)

I mean, when I want to 'dress up' I find that I can't because I don't know a single flipping thing about mascara, blush, etc.

Thank you!

Well I am not a big make-up person either. I wear mine very natural. A little fondation, blush and lipstick. And eyeshadow on occasion. Mascara and eyeliner I just find annoying. The best suggestion I can give you is to go to a make-up counter at a department store and have one of the girls give you a tutorial. Don't feel embarassed because that's their job, and it's completly free. I presonally recommend Clinque because I can get oil free products and it's more affordable than others. For make-up I always say less is more. I don't like the fake caked on look. And from the guys I know, they all like natural looking girls. But it still takes a little make-up even to look natural. Good Luck!
