Hi everyone! I probably sound a little dumb, but I never knew what's going on with politics and stuff.... I just wanted to know, since elections are today, when do we get to know who the winner is? Do we get to know tonight or tomorrow? Can someone please tell me because I want to know who wins the presidential elections! Thanks so much!
frenchy answered Tuesday November 2 2004, 4:44 pm: hey! normally we get to know tonight, but elections these days are pretty messed up and no one knows when we're guna know. we might know tonight- but most people dont think so, we might know tomorrow, which would also be a miracle. so we're not sure when we'll find the winner. hope i helped, peace and love! It will be all over the news, everyone will be talking about it in school, riots will be starting in certain areas because the person they wanted to win didn't... It's going to be a mess. But you'll find out. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
Lachiquitaloca9 answered Tuesday November 2 2004, 3:35 pm: It depends on which time zone you're in. Polls in Hawaii for example won't be closed til midnight eastern time, so if the race is close we won't know til midnight eastern time (6pm Hawaii, 9pm Cali...and so forth). Otherwise whoever gets 270 electoral college votes first will win, which I think could be as early as 8pm or so...but the race is so tight that its not likely. If the vote is too close and contested, who knows when we'll find out who won. Once again it'll probably depend on how much Florida messes things up. :) I happen to live in Florida and in one of the counties that caused trouble in the last election (I wasn't living here so I didn't vote though), things seemed to be going well this morning...so despite all the lost absentee ballots hopefully things will go fine. If we have any sense tomorrow there will be a new president. :) [ Lachiquitaloca9's advice column | Ask Lachiquitaloca9 A Question ]

panther_grl03 answered Tuesday November 2 2004, 12:56 pm: We may not know exactly by tonight, and it will be harder if it is close (which it probably will be) all I can tell you is that they will start giving us info as soon as the polls close. If it isn't close, then it will be pretty obvious who the winner is, but if not...who knows. I think we all remember last time....
jbdreamer answered Tuesday November 2 2004, 12:45 pm: It would be hard to miss the winner of the election. Presidental coverage will be all over the media. Anywhere you look you will be bombared by it. Polls close at 8pm. The winner may not be dertemined until late evening, early morning. Although the last presidental election Bush wasn't truely determined the winner until December, but that was Florida's falt, lol. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
