Q: I feel so lethargic lately.
So badly it's almost taking over my life.
I'm 17/f.
I wake up to go to school in the morning and I can hardly get out of bed. My eyelids feel so heavy. I feel irritable and grumpy all day.
I don't really eat at school or drink much.
I am a vegetarian because meat makes me sick. I have been vegetarian for about 4 years now. I don't eat a special diet or anything, just evereything apart from meat.
I don't like those beans and lenitls things.
Every morning I have a vitamin/mineral tablet (called Supradyn) and an Iron tablet (24mg).
What am I supposed to do?
I came home from school crying from exhaustion today coz I couldn't get a lift from my mum so I had to walk.
Is it what I'm eating or what??
Someone help.

I hope you eat some form of protein because it should be a part of your diet. If you don't like beans, try tofu and nuts. Also, I hope you aren't eating less than usual, especially since if you'ra diet on fruits and veggies you need to eat a whole lot because they do not contain a lot of calories you need to use for energy. You say you don't really eat at school or drink much, which sounds problematic. If you don't like what you eat in school, pack a lunch. Drink liquids. That may also be a factor in why you are always so tired. Dehydration can do that to you: http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/safety/first_aid/dehydration.html You need to eat and drink. How else can you carry out your day-to-day activities? It sounds like a problem not of what you eat, but how much you're getting into your system. Good that you're eating supplements, but you need actual food too.
This is really something you should go to your doctor about.
Maybe you have chronic fatigue syndrome: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/chronicfatiguesyndrome.html
Are you sure there's nothing else in your life that is going on? Maybe you're exercising too much or not enough? Or stress? You're sick or you had a change in your life that is taking a toll on you? Personal issues? Something on your mind? You're depressed? Not getting enough sleep or good sleep?
One more thing, it is good to have mini-snacks/meals and power naps throughout the day.

Q: I was filling out college applications and I finally was able to send a few in.
I noticed yesterday that on one of the applications I made a typo on my Social Security Number. For example, say my SS# was 123456789, I had accidentally typed 123457689.
Is this something I should rectify immediately or wait until whether or not I get accepted and choose to go there. I already know that if I get accepted then that is the college I'm choosing.
If I should do this now then how should I contact them to let them know? Should I do it through e-mail, phone call, in person? The college is about 2 hours away so it would be really hard to get up there and speak with somebody...
Anyway, I was wondering what I should do and if I should take action now or wait until I find out about being accepted...

Call as soon as possible.
You should call if not ask in person. If calling doesn't walk, go in person, and if that doesn't work, e-mail.
I'm not sure when they are reviewing your college application whether they check to see that you gave the correct social security number, so it will be important to contact them and update them with your actual social security number. You don't want to run into any problems. I don't think it'll affect your acceptance per se but might delay things because a social security number is important in saying that this is really you because no one else should know that number (identification) Even if it's off by one number.. just take action immediately.

Q: This question is about Melissa Etheridge's song "I Want to Come Over."
I was wondering if anyone knew why she wrote this song, or what the meaning of this song is. I really like it, and I would like to know more about it.
If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear from you!
Thanks! =]

Some ideas:
From here: http://www.songmeanings.net/lyric.php?lid=14069, one user thought the song meant "This song is about a infidelity. He was betrayed." and this site: http://www.maxalbums.com/albums_review_Melissa%20Etheridge.asp says it's about "yearning for that special someone who belongs to someone else."

Q: Alright, so a while ago I downloaded this program called extreme messenger. It had an awesome feature that faded your font so say if you did colors of the rainbow, it would fade each IM you send starting from red to orange to yellow and so on so if I said to someone "hey sup" each letter would be a color of the rainbow. But unfortunately, it runs out in like 30 days and you cant download it again unless you buy it. I really want to fade my font again, so
does anyone know of another program that does that? please help! Thanks soo much!

Q: are diet soda's bad for you? because i've been hearing alot lately that they can cause memory loss over time and it burns like holes in your brain.

Just consume food in moderation and you will be fine. Also, try to cut back on soda altogether. Diet soda contains fake sugar - aspartame. I think long-term studies have proven that over time drinking lots of that can give you cancer. You can research more about this on the Internet.

Q: I wear cute clothes, like stuff from Aeropostale. Typical dressy shirt, miniskirt, jeans, stuff like that. However, I want to find cute clothes that look more sophisticated. I have a tight budget on clothing at the moment, the most I can spend on shirts is about $15, and for pants, the most I would say is $25. I think that a dark blue dress tunic thing with like a belt and leggings with flats would look extremely cute, but the problem is, is that if I went to Macy's and looked, the stuff would be so expensive! I'm a freshman, and I'm tired of looking exactly like the girl sitting next to me. Please give me links to cheap clothing, I really can't spend that much on clothing (as I stated before)..
Thanks in advance!

One solution is to only shop when stores have big sales near holidays or whenever. Also, you can find outlet malls. They might a little farther than where you live but worth it because they have cheaper name-brand clothing - the kind you're looking for, right? Kohl's, Target, TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls all have cute clothing for less, especially TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls which can also sell clothes leftover from name-brand labels. Mall clothes are expensive.. look to stores like that. If you're ordering from online you might have to pay shipping and handling fees and sizes may be hard to gauge and all that so it's better to shop offline so you can try clothes on. If you're willing, garage/yard sales, thrift/secondhand stores, and eBay all have very cheap clothing. No one can tell where your clothes can come from. If you dig out a hot find just say you got it from New York. Shop happily!

Q: I am very religious. I do not belong to an organized religion and do not practice any thing that is clearly stated and known. Instead, I choose different beliefs from various religions into a mish-mash of different ideas. For example, I believe that God created the Earth, but I do not believe in the Original Sin (Adam and Eve), from Christian religion. I am asking, since I do not have a name for the mix of my beliefs, what, should I reply when I am asked what religion I practice. I do not want to say an atheist, because that is not what I am.

My brother does that! He doesn't really define what his "religion" is. He explains to people what he is rather than put a label to it because he's not sure what a mix would be called. Maybe you can say "other" or "agnostic" or just say you're spiritual. Maybe Unitarian Universalism?

Q: 13/F
I feel depressed for some reason... All I did today was my normal hyper stuff. I just suddenly feel depressed. Is that normal? What do you think caused it? I mean, all I did was sit around all of a sudden, I'm depressed... Please help...

It kind of sounds like you "sat around" and felt depressed so I guess getting up to do your "normal hyper stuff" is what makes you happy- being active! Just wait and see if you don't feel any better the next few days.

Q: ok well school is gonna be pretty far from my house pretty soon. im gonna go to a different school next year and its about 10 miles from my house and the school i currently go to is 7 miles away in the opposite direction. next semester my brother is going to be at the same school im in now and ill be going to the new school. my parents cant drive me to school. the closest metro bus stop is 2 miles away and a school bus stop is about 3 miles away. im only 14 and i need to know how i can convince my parents to let me go to this school because its such a great school and all my friends go there. any suggestions?

Building on one of the many good suggestions that the missbananafontana gave, do any of your friends live near you whose mother can let you carpool with them? I don’t know the work schedules of your parents or anything, but maybe if one of them is heading over there (I’m assuming work starts in the morning and somewhere around the time your school starts) they can drop you off along the way if the time can be worked out. Or if your brother can get a ride with one of his friends instead, if you can't find someone to ride with yourself.

Q: I don't know if this is a question, but just let me tell you the story first.
When I was 12-13 (I'm 14 now) I got a whole bunch of compliments about being so pretty, and I loved that, it made me so happy. (not trying to sound concieded(sp?) I was just happy, cause I never felt pretty at all.
I mean me and my mom was in the car and we were at a stoplight, and this random maybe around 30 yr old guy rolled down his window and said "is that your daughter?" and my mom said "yes?" and he said "she's very gorgeous." and my mom said thankyou. that made me so happy! and I mean I always got stares from older men not young ones. maybe a few but it was always older ones. and no I didn't like that at all, I mean, I felt pretty, but not enough. I wanted the young ones to look at me, not the old ones. Now, I feel like I'm ugly or something. I don't get compliments anymore, but alot of OLDER men stare, not young ones. I feel ugly and I just wish I could get all the compliments like I use too, i mean I get a few but I feel ugly. like I've gotten fatter or something.
Should I change myself up a bit?I want to but I don't know what I could do.
help me please.

You know, sometimes older people are wiser and have been around long enough to know beauty when they see it. Guys around your age probably like the "hot" ones because they look easy or whatever; this is a generalization but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Besides, I don't think any of them (guys around your age) would have the balls to give you a compliment or stare you down. Especially people in your school because they might have to see you everyday and don't want to scare you off. Sometimes it's because some guys aren't into girls yet (possibly). Maybe they don't look at you directly but out of the corners of their eyes? Just because they don't tell you or stare at you doesn't mean they don't think you're pretty. Staring is kind of rude, sometimes, even though you could take it as a compliment. If you want to get noticed, I don't know about your personality, I can help you more but maybe you're just shy and need to be more approachable so that guys will talk to you because they're intimidated by your looks.. something to think about. :)

You can joke about you guys being a couple and maybe get a third mutual friend to be like, "Yeahh, you guys would look so cute together!" and you could kid around and hang your arm around her and say "We already are." or something and see how she takes it. Or something less subtle. If she doesn't want to just play it off as a joke.

Social anxiety disorder. It's not something that's wrong with you. You just get anxious in social situations as you said.
"Social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, is an anxiety disorder in which a person has an excessive and unreasonable fear of social situations. Anxiety (intense nervousness) and self-consciousness arise from a fear of being closely watched, judged and criticized by others."
Does that sound like you?

Tight-hugging (hip-huggers or low-rise) jeans or tops are good ways to show of your curves. Or if you are more comfortable showing off your muscular arms lol or great legs! Also, wearing heels elongate and make legs more defined.

If you have a fireplace you could get a fire going. Also, you can use electric heating blankets or get really warm, downy, heavy blankets to keep you cozy in the night. Huddling together with your family for warmth works too or sleeping with your dog if you have one.
