I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

My lips are already chapped from the wind and cool weather and I absolutely hate it. It sucks to have hurting lips and I know my boyfriend hates to kiss me because they are scratchy to him too. What is the best chapstick? I saw all sorts of brands in the line at Wal-Mart...blistex, chapstick brand, burt's bees, softlips,...what is the best available at Walmart or a drug store or whatever? please?

I use Softlips. It works really well because once you put it on, you can feel the medicine kicking in. And it comes in a ton of flavors. Right now, I've got a Cherry one, and a Sugar Cookies one. They both smell really good, and my boyfriend likes them. :)

I was thinking of starting an early Christmas gift round this week but I don't want to seem stupid in the lines when I buy lots of Christmas presents for my friends and family. I want to beat the holiday rush and I don't see WHY it would be wrong to buy now but I don't know if I'm missing something. Is it too soon to start my holiday Christmas shopping or should I wait a little longer before I start buying gifts? What do you think and why?

Absolutely not! I wouldn't think it's too early. You might be missing out on deals that stores offer at Christmas time, BUT you're beating the lines, the chaos, and you're saving time. It's better to do the shopping now than to be stressed out once it hits winter. :) Go for it.

You may be experiencing a migraine. Try Excedrin Migraine. I've never had to take it, but Excedrin works really good. :)

Okay, I am a band geek, forever and always, and a lot of controversy stirs up whenever I talk about how hard it is. People always say band isn't a sport but in a lot of ways we are more advanced than a sport, we practice everyday for 5 hours starting at 8 am going to 1.. in the SUMMER! We practice Tuesdays and Thursday's after school for 2 and a half hours, the beginning of that practice consists of yoga to get your muscles ready to march and some running to pump up your adrenaline AND NO water breaks! We have performances Fridays at football games and Saturdays for Cavalcades, cavalcade mornings, man oh man, we must arrive at 8 am, practice three hours then we go home until report time when we go back for more practice before we actually perform. At after school practices we must memorize music which are 2 pages long usually each band plays three songs, so that's 6 pages of music to memorize. We also must learn our sets, which is where we stand in the show and that's usually 20 sets a song so that's 60 different spots on the field we need to learn, and believe me each set isn't "okay you stand on the 50 yard line" it's "2.5 steps inside the front sideline hash and 3.75 steps outside side 2 35 yard line." It's confusing, plus you need to learn different routes to take so you don't run into other band members. We also need to learn the exact beat our horn goes up to the box and how long it needs to stay up or how long or short we need to halt. It gets hard at cavalcades because there is a judge in your face saying things into a recorder but you can't look him/her in the eyes then they will deduct points for not watching your drum major. If anyone thinks band isn't a sport or matter of factly, more than a sport than you're ridiculous. What's your take?

What're the pros of waking up early on weekends ?

today I had the day off from school, and since I'm so used to the schedule of school, I usually wake up at 9. my boyfriend told me to wake up him when I did, so I kept calling him, but he didn't wake up until 12.

we got into an argument and he said "oh, you're not doing anything today as it is, why wake up early?"

so, although you're not doing much that day, what're the pros of waking up early despite plans or not?

This answer is coming from a lazy person, so, just take that into account.

Technically, I see nothing beneficial about waking up early on a weekend. You don't have anything to do on weekends so why wake up early? Weekends are a time to relax, hang out & sleep in. Just because you wake up early during the week doesn't mean you need to on the weekends. You work hard all week at school so you deserve to sleep in.

Buuuut, other people would argue that despite having plans or not, you get to have breakfast, you can get more stuff done in the day. If you had homework assigned, you can get it done instead of procrastinating.. If something needs to be cleaned, you can get it out of the way early. Typical stuff like that.

In my opinion though, why not sleep in? You deserve a break.

Alright, so this boy I like was flirting with me in 2nd hour like crazy, and so I teased him and gave him a hug and all that, and he grabs my arm to keep me from giving hugs etc. etc. and my friend says "Quit flirting, you can do better than him."

Well I told my mom about it all and she says I gotta be careful or people will call me a slut. (I've not even had my first kiss yet though so that's impossible...)

I don't think it's a bad thing. I'm 18 and I don't have mine. My brother is 23 going on 24 and doesn't have his. Some people just aren't motivated, and some just have trouble with tests.

You're not stupid. I'm sure you're just stressed out and worried so much that you're doing bad on the test because you're telling yourself that you will. Have you tried taking the online tests that the DMV's website has? Try that. Those tend to help because I know reading the book is horribly boring.

Just keep trying. If you let yourself continue to fail, you'll never get anywhere. Have a little faith in yourself. :)

I am a female minor of 16 who had an online relationship with a man 8 years my senior behind my family's back. I had done this once before but with a different individual and i no longer have contact with the first person. I met him at a hotel room 3 times and although we didn't have sexual intercourse i thought i was pregnant somehow and my period was late with strong feelings of nausea. I told my mom all of this and although she was terribly devastated she proceeded to take me to the doctor and tests were done. I am not pregnant and have no STI's, and now my mother and father and i don't know what to do. Only they and the man i was involved with know. I want things to go back to how they were before they knew, but i understand that it isn't that simple. I would very much appreciate if someone could offer me solid advice on what I should do now. I want to earn back their trust if i can and help them feel better and more relaxed. I am ashamed of my action but i want to do something, anything to help them feel better. I have not contacted the man since telling my father, whom i told a week after my mother. I believe that the man was a good man but I don't want to contact him any time soon, at the very least until i am out of college, so like 6 to 10 years from now. Your parents should be pressing charges regardless. What is a 24 year old man doing sleeping with a 16 year old girl? Feelings aside, that is statutory rape, and it is illegal & wrong. He is an adult sleeping with a child. That is incredibly wrong on his part.

However, since what's done is done, there's nothing that can be done about it. I really don't think you should contact him ever again. What he's done is illegal & you should be with boys your own age. He is at a completely different stage in his life.

Stop contacting him. Make sure that your parents do press charges. And stop seeing older men behind their backs. See boys who are your own age because anyone over 18 is going to get you & themselves into serious trouble. Besides, who wants the title of sex offender?

I would say that since you had your period, probably not. It may just be late. Periods can be irregular sometimes. Since you've been stressed and worried about it not coming, it may have been put off because of that. Stress can delay your periods so I would just chill out, okay? Chances are that you're fine. :)

For weeks I have been iffy about even writing this.
I am young 18 and just got married in August. I am pregnant that is not why we got married but I think we rushed into it. We were planning the wedding already had my wedding dress before i found out I was Pregnant.
Sometimes I find myself regretting getting marred My reasons. I wanted to work days and go to school nights. It would be tough but id be able to better myself for me and my family he through a fit and didnt support me at all. told me either work or go to school but advises me to work because we need the money. If you regret this marriage, then you shouldn't be in it. You need to divorce your husband. All the things you said are good enough reasons to divorce him. He treats you like shit, doesn't help you at all, and gets mad at you for little things. Instead of helping you or taking the time to understand, he's blowing up, adding stress, and making you feel guilty.

You're 18 years old. It is perfectly fine AND normal to raise a kid by yourself. You're working 40+ hours a week, and then coming home to a husband who nitpicks at everything you do. Divorce him. Everything you said supplies good reason to get rid of him. You shouldn't regret getting married to someone. Marriage should be a happy arrangement, not something that you're miserable in. Do what's best for yourself & your baby & divorce him while you can. Let him be an asshole to someone else. You don't deserve the bullshit he's throwing at you.

There is a huge grocery store where I shop and one of the kids who brings in baskets from the parking lot always gives me a contemptuous look. I walk with a limp and he is like that with people who are handicapped. I called about him last year and spoke with a district manager who assured me he would take care of the problem. When I called back, his attitude with me had changed and he acted like I was the culprit. I thought that was very odd. He said I had to face the kid and identify him face to face. I did not want to do that but I gave a complete description of him. A year later, he is still working there. What should I do?

Ignore him. He doesn't get what being handicapped is like, so his only reaction is to stare.
