What is the best chapstick for chapped lips?

Question Posted Thursday October 1 2009, 12:38 am

My lips are already chapped from the wind and cool weather and I absolutely hate it. It sucks to have hurting lips and I know my boyfriend hates to kiss me because they are scratchy to him too. What is the best chapstick? I saw all sorts of brands in the line at Wal-Mart...blistex, chapstick brand, burt's bees, softlips,...what is the best available at Walmart or a drug store or whatever? please?

I looooove Burt's Bees. It's got a bit of a weird waxy texture, but that keeps you from licking it off by accident.

Stay away from really yummy chapstick. If you lick it off, you can actually end up drying your lips out more!

Try using a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips as well. Keeps them nice and soft.

my fav is classic chapstick (cherry flavor) but really most of the basic brands will work about the same...

I use Softlips. It works really well because once you put it on, you can feel the medicine kicking in. And it comes in a ton of flavors. Right now, I've got a Cherry one, and a Sugar Cookies one. They both smell really good, and my boyfriend likes them. :)

Chap sticks are ready to take with you tubes of lip balm. They are all pretty good some come in flavers. I use vasoline to protect my lips in dry windy days. You can put vasoline all over your face if needed. I find using lip stick everyday keeps my lips soft and moist so get in the habit of chap sticking it for soft moist lips.
