Nope, your parents don't have to be in the room with you.
Mom may feel she is lending you moral support. If you think it will make you uncomfortable, just tell her so. I am sure she will understand.:)

Drunk girls have no inhibitions. They will usually do anything (depending on how drunk they are). Simply put, they are EASY.
A guy wanting sex without any fuss will go for the drunk.
Not a funny reason, but sadly there are guys who will take advantage. Just another reason to stay sober. :)

I am glad these kids have a place to go where they may get some logical advice about sex (and some bad advice too which is sad)
I am just wondering how many of you "adults" think that too many are having sex too early? To me, they know very little about the consequences--most questions are asked after the fact. Perhaps this shows that sex education is not done early enough and it is not effective enough. What do you think? (link)

I don't know about sex education in the schools. I don't think they have it at all in the schools in my small town area.
I blame a lot of it on the parenting. Maybe I should say lack of parenting. My kids weren't dating when they were 13. They didn't have cell phones and *gasp* they didn't have computer access except at school.
We had good communication, they always felt they could come to me with any problem they had.
Maybe parents are to busy. There is a sad lack of two parent households. A lot of guilt feelings I think they are trying to ease by letting kids have "stuff" and letting them do things they are better off waiting until they are older to do.
Certainly not all parents are that way. But I think it contributes a lot to the problems we see here.
I hope those who give some bad advice will also read how others respond and maybe learn something themselves.
I hope in some way, no matter how small, we help someones child who needs somebody to talk to. :)

I have this secret that I haven't told one of my really good friends yet (lets call her Ruby). It's about this boy I like I have told four other people, and three of them are my other really good freinds. Well I don't want to tell Ruby because she doesn't have much experience with boys AT ALL and she wouldn't get it like my other freinds would. Should I tell her? Because if she knew I told these other girls before her she would be mad. So bottom line, Should I tell her? Even though I don't want to? Would you personally be mad if you were Ruby? (link)

I would feel left out and I'm sure Ruby will too.
She may not have a lot of boy experience, that doesn't mean she is clueless. Even if she is, it is a good way for her to learn.
If she is a really good friend, don't leave her out. Tell her about it. :)

I like this guy... he's great! Everything I want in a guy, he has... brains, sense of humor, similar interests, he's nice... One problem is that he is SO QUIET by nature. He's not one to show emotion easily, either. This bothers me because I have NO IDEA what he thinks of me. What can I do to get him to open up a little more? Thanks! (link)

Talk to him every chance you get.
Once he gets comfortable with you, he may just open up and start talking a little more. Once you get him to talking, just come right out and ask him how he's feeling.

ok well every month when i get my period i get EXTREMELY sick. I'm talking the works. I throw up almost everytime more than once and have killer killer cramps. I must have tried every medicine there is out there. I know people say to take it the night before but I never have any idea when its coming because im still irregular. I have to stay home at least one day from school every month and i cant take it anymore. Does anyone know any way to stop this, anything would be appreciated.

Nothing is a sure thing but since you said "might have", I am going to assume if
you did get some on your underwear it wasn't much. It would have to have entered your vagina and I really think that's very very unlikely.

Well hopefully you can IM each other. Web cams might be a thought if you can afford them.
If your parents are off weekends maybe you could take turns spending a Saturday or Sunday at each others house. Your parents could pick you up and come get you and his do the same for him.
If you could get them each to agree to at least one day a month, you would see each other at least twice a month. I know that isn't much but its better than not at all!
Or perhaps there is a pool or something between your houses. Maybe you could meet there. :)

ok can someone please help me, i am at a total lose of knowledge here. so when you get car insurance you pay like every couple of months right? so when youi buy a car do you have like monthly payments for that too? and when you see like one of those cars on the side of the road that say 'for sale' do you only pay the flat fee to the seller, or do you pay monthly somehow?

You can pay car insurance monthly or the cheaper way is to pay it every 6 months.
Most cars along the side of the road want the cash. They won't usually take payments. You can go borrow the money from the bank and then make payments to the bank every month though. :)

So I came up with this amazing idea for a project, when I read the two articles you had suggested, the assignment was to find an article and write a summary about it - so I thought "I'll summarize an article about the difference with childhood and being an adult - specificly, how boy-girl realtionships change throughout the years" I was thinking like, how much our minds really change, and if its like "girls are mushy. guys hate mushy." both when your in kindergarden and when you're fifty..now here's the problem-- I cannot find anything at all on this. Well that one even has me stumped! I can't find anything either.
I don't know for sure the kind of subject you can do, or how much time you have to do it. But,
a really cool subject...twins who are separated after birth ( by adoption). I have seen some on talk shows and it is amazing how many of the same things happen to them though they were separated.
I don't know how practical it is but it might be interesting to do sometime. :)

Oh, the noisy kids! I send them outside around here. Thank goodness the weather is warming up.
Another thing I do if they have to be indoors is put in a movie...turn the volume down so they have to hush up in order to hear it. If they really like the movie, it works wonders!

My weight changes between 132 - 137. I know you're weight tends to be lighter in the morning and heavier at night but I didn't think it was supposed to be that big of a difference. If it matters, I am on a diet trying to loose weight and that makes it hard to know if I'm making progress or not. Thanks In Advance, I'll Rate. (link)

Are you looking at those scales everyday?
Not a good idea! Very discouraging! It can fluctuate that much.
The best way to keep track of your progress is to weight yourself once a week. Same day, same time.
I have also heard it is better to just take measurements instead...but who could do just that? Not me! :)

No special search engine. I used Google.
Sometimes it just depends what you type in there.
I think I typed in "How childhood events affect adults". Then probably tweaked it a bit from there.
If you wanted a specific problem, like child abuse, you would type in "how abuse in childhood affects adults". Or something along those lines.
Searching things is sometimes just a matter of finding the right phrase that will pull things up. So if you don't find it the first time, just start rearranging things! Sooner or later something will show up!

I think you may have misspelled but just in case I will give you definitions for both!
A stocker is a person who makes or fits stocks, as of guns or gun carriages, etc.
A stalker is a person who after being told to leave a person alone continues to follow them around. They sneak a lot and basically spy on the object of their affection. Sometimes they mean to do them harm.

You can date (if parents are OK with it).
You can even kiss. But if you have sex...that's illegal.
Once you turn 16, you should be okay. Age of consent is 16 in most states.
So if you can control things until then, You are okay to date. :)

I hate the way my body looks and I have for-pretty-much-ever. I've tried so many diets, and working out, but nothing has ever worked. the thing is, I'm really not fat. I'm just chubby. I'm 5'3 and weigh 140.
I've had an eating disorder before, and it wasn't really that bad. I was anorexic when I was younger, I finally got over it, and now I'm buimic. Now just trying to eat makes me throw up.
How bad is bulimia? And how do I get over it?

Bulimia is not good at all.
Here are some of the dangers for you to consider.
Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. This can lead to kidney failure and cause heart arrhythmias. Most common symptoms are weakness, thirst and irritability.
Cardiac arrest (heart attack). Frequent gluttony and purging places a great deal of stress on the body.
Ruptured esophagus, gastric tears or choking from continually vomiting.
The normal motor function of the gastrointestinal tract becomes impaired which can lead to automatic vomiting, indigestion, and constipation.
Laxative abuse can lead to chronic constipation and dependency (defecation becomes impossible without laxative use).
Bowel infections and increased risk of bowel tumors. The protective mucous lining is stripped out from laxatives and the function of the bowel is impaired, both increasing the risk of infection and tumors.
Pancreatitis
Abdominal pain and bloating
Endocrine abnormalities and fertility problems. Females may experience disturbances in their menstrual cycles.
Dental decay. Stomach acids will erode the enamel on teeth.
Enlarged salivary glands from frequent vomiting.
Osteoporosis from malnutrition

Okay, so there is this boy that I dated for 9 months, lost my virginity to, and was totally in love with. He broke up with me on Valentine's day and I haven't been quite the same since. I still love him, and he keeps playing with my head and my heart. He said he still loved me and he just needed some time to himself because he's a senior in high school and he's busy, which I understand. But he was busy before, and everything wa fine. We go to different schools, which made things tough, but I think it was worth it.
And I saw him a week ago and he kissed me just like he used to. I mean - it felt like he really loved me, still. So then everything seemed okay and we were talking about getting back together. It seems like every other time we talk, he changes his mind.
So is he actually unsure, or is he just playing me?
