Hi im 15/f and i trying to train over tha summer for track in the fall. So if you could give me links tips exercises or programs and eating i would appreciate it. Thankx
Well i want to go sprinting no more than a 300 meter and i want to do hurdles. I am in good shape but my eating habits are bad. I also like to work out as long as its not too much.

Hey, sorry for the delay.

There are a few very basic training principles that one should keep in mind when designing a routine.

One of them essentially states that you get what you put in. That means that you get better at (and pretty much only at) what you train. Sounds obvious, but you wouldn’t believe how often sports people do not do this. For example you might see tennis players (that require short explosive bursts) going on long runs, thinking that somehow this will help them.

Another training principle states that as one nears the start of the competition, the training must get increasingly sport specific. At the beginning one can focus on developing core strength for example, but as the training progresses the movements have to become more and more specialised.

So, what does this mean for you? First off I would start by assessing your strengths and weaknesses. Compared to other runners for example, how is your acceleration?, your top speed?, your explosiveness off the blocks?, your ability to jump the hurdles?

Then divide your training time until the season starts into periods of a few weeks. I don’t know if you have access to a gym, but if you do it would be much better.

In the beginning, emphasise developing your core strength.

Here is an article that talks about core training:
http://www.oztrack.com/sprint.htm

I would also do some general stamina training in this stage by incorporating some cardio work (jogging, biking, etc).

If you are at a gym, focus on learning proper lifting techniques. Then you can move on and increase your limit strength (your max lifts with slow controlled lifting). Focus on big, multi joint exercises like squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows, etc. This provides a foundation.

Here is one with gym exercises:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm

In the next step I would incorporate more explosive movements. You can for example start focusing on your weak points. Starting, accelerating, max speed, etc. The article above talks about how you can do that. At the gym it would also be time to train explosively, incorporating acceleration into the movements and adding exercises like the clean and jerk, and snatch.

Finally, as you near the deadline, focus more and more on the actual events.

Now, in regards to diet, here are some general tips:
- Eat often, about 5 or 6 times a day. Fuel your workouts properly, eating more before periods of activity than afterwards.
- Start eating as "clean" as possible. Stick to non processed foods, and base your meals around a good lean protein source.
- Make sure you get a daily amount of good fats, particularly omega 3. That stuff is found in oily fish, walnuts, flax, dark leafy vegetables, etc.
- Limit your intake of saturated fats (mainly from animal products) and trans fats (often found in processed foods, restaurant food, etc.).
- Stay properly hydrated.
- Avoid empty calories as much as possible (junk foods, things with sugar added to them, etc).
- Decide if you want to put on some muscle mass or lose some weight. You need to have a calorie surplus for the former and a deficit for the latter. Dont try to do both at once. I would most likely choose to put on muscle first and then trim down the excess fat afterwards.

Good luck.

Could you please edit your question and add the following info (and I will edit my reply afterwards with some suggestions):

- What track events are you going for specifically? This is important since some require stamina, others explosiveness...
- What is your current level of fitness (i.e. have you competed before, are you new at this)?
- What kind of workouts have you done in the past?

Oh and just because its blatantly wrong, potatoes and bananas have little value as far as protein is concerned.

My best friend stopped eating, its been 16 days. What do I do, to get her to stop?! Help.

I completely agree. This needs to be handled by experts. I am not even sure how a person that has eaten nothing/ little in 16 days should be fed... A doctor should definitely be involved. Don't try to handle this yourself, your friend has some serious health/ psychological issues which you will not be able to cope with.

So do tell a responsible adult. A parent would be my first choice, but any of the other options listed in the answer below would do as well.

Good luck.

i am a teenage boy!
when i look my body in front of a mirror i find higher amount of fat on my stomach and waist than on my chest!
even my ribs are visible sometimes!
this gives an odd shape to my torso part!
i want to reduce my waist fat and increase upper body fat[on chest, shoulders and upper stomach region]!
i do not have excess fat deposition on any other part of my body!help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put simply, you cant do that. Targeting fat loss is completely impossible, and targeting fat gain (although a new concept to me), is also impossible. Not including surgery of course.

When you lose/ gain fat, the body determines where it comes from or goes to. This is highly influenced by genetics.

Essentially you have the following choices:

1. You can lower your overall bodyfat. This will eventually make you lose the fat on your stomach and waist. You would need to make a serious effort though, and you will need to maintain your lower bf. You will look normal, but you wont have gained fat on other areas of the body.

2. You can gain weight, and hope that your body will even out. Down side is you will be overweight and theres no guarantee that your shape wont remain proportionally the same.

3. You can accept what you currently have.

Whatever you do dont buy into the old, do crunches to get rid of your stomach fat myth... or any other such variant.

From a health point of view, option 1 is generally the best, and option 2 is the worst. Kind of obvious really. Sorry, but there is no magic formula here.

I have a layer of fat in the top of my abs which is incredible hard to work off. Does anyone else have this issue? Like my obliques and my upper abs are really defined and so are my lower abs. Butmy lower abs have this I would say medium sized ammount of fat between my skin and by abs. Creating a block of my full beautiful belly potential. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to fix this? Besides going to a gym, iLike at home workouts and such. I am willing to do rigorous workouts too. And any suggstions for upper thighs? Thanks

If its a question of removing the fat, you can ONLY do this by lowering your bodyfat percentage. Area specific workouts only build muscle, they cannot spot reduce fat.

So, the key is with losing weight. This is best done through regular cardio workouts (e.g. running, biking, etc) and a good sensible diet. You need to create a calorie deficit, and to eat intelligently so that your weight loss will come primarily from fat not muscle.

For best results focus on regular, steady cardiovascular workouts. I dont know your current fitness level, but aiming for around 30 mins 5 or 6 times a week is often a pretty sensible goal.

If you want any more specific advice, just ask. Otherwise good luck.

Edit: As far as fat loss goes, same applies to your upper thighs. Otherwise, for muscle development look into things like lunges and squats.

i pulled a chair from underneath a guy and he fell and everyone laughed and then he laughed too as he got up. and then he gets up and sits right next to someone else and he barely talked to me when i asked him if he was mad at me.

i later found out he was embarassed? WTF? i wouldn't get embarassed if that happened. whats up with guys? do they really get embarassed that easily?

Not sure that this is a question of being a guy. Some people get embarassed more easily than others. Sometimes a joke will go down well with one person and poorly with another.

In general you should be careful with the kind of practical jokes that have a large group of people laughing at (not with) one individual. Those can easily bruise egos and make the individual feel ridiculed and singled out.

Dont get me wrong, some people don't mind at all, but I have found that they are often a minority...

Edit: Minority: lesser number. i.e. there are fewer people who dont mind than those who do (again, in my opinion).

16/f. i have never fingered myself or any of that kinda stuff. like the furthest ive gone is makeout and being felt up. like i get the urge and stuff when im with hot guys, and they make me go crazy! haha but i never really feel the need to alone. like all my friends do..even the ones who havent gone as far as me. when we talk about it there like you never do wow how weird! but i just dont need to haha. plus i think it might hurt..does it just feel like putting a tampon in kinda lol? i do get aroused with guys though =P is that extremely weird that i dont have the need to? should i like try or what..cuz it just seems weird that everyone does but me! thanks!

You do not have to do anything that you do not want to do. If you dont feel like it, thats fine. If you want to try it out, thats fine too.

I mean, you are obviously a normal girl, since you get aroused by guys and all that. There isnt any rule anywhere that says you must masturbate.

But I'm only 13 so I have absolutly NO idea how to.
I'll take any advice that I can get, but pleaseee help.

I'll adore you forever if you help me :DDD

Hey there.

The best way to lose weight is to do it in a steady way. If you push yourself too hard it is likely to backfire, and often ends up messing your metabolism.

Here are some general diet tips:
- Eat many small meals every day. About one every 3- 4 hours.
- Keep your fat content fairly low, and make sure that most of the fat you do eat is unsaturated. That means cutting out as much animal fat (e.g. in fatty meat, dairy, etc) as possible.
- Intake a small amount of unsaturated fat daily, making sure you get some omega 3. This is found in things like oily fish, flax, walnuts, dark green leafy vegetables, etc. This helps weight loss as well as general health.
- Drink plenty of water
- Try to eat the slightly larger meals before periods of activity and slightly small ones when you are about to rest/ sleep. People often do this the other way around... then they underperform in their workout and add back much of what they lost with a big dinner.
- Base your meals around a lean protein source and eat moderate amounts of carbs. For example a meal might be something like skinless chicken breast/ fish/ lean beef/ etc, 50g of whole wheat pasta/ rice/ etc and some vegetables. Or in the morning it might be a bowl of oats in skimmilk and a few walnuts. You get the idea. The key here is eating moderately but still giving your body the fuel it needs.
- Limit or eliminate empty calories from things that have sugar added, junk foods, etc.

Here are some general workout tips:

- Cardio is very important. Try to work in regular, steady cardio a few times a week. How much depends on your current fitness level. If you are largely sedentary, start with light 20 minute sessions (e.g. biking, jogging, etc.).
- If you are able try to incorporate some resistance training into your workout routine. Resistance training helps maintain your muscle mass during periods of weight loss, essentially protecting your metabolism. You dont have to do this mind you, but it will help.

Remember, incorporate these changes slowly. You dont want to go straight into a hard diet and a killer workout routine. Patience is the name of the game I'm afraid (and believe me I speak from personal experience here).

Good luck.

what time was it on last night and what channel?
i can't believe i missed it! :(

The match kicked off at 20.45 central European time... which would be 14.45 Eastern US time.

I cannot tell you what channel it was on since I am not in the US.

I know the competition is over, but in the future you can always check out UEFA's homepage to check up on fixtures, results, lineups etc.

www.uefa.com

It was a good match too, you missed out on something. I'm not a big fan of English football, but I was with Man Utd on this one. The penalty kicks couldnt have been more dramatic with Chelsea needing only one more to take the cup... and then having John Terry slip on the wet grass for post- wide.

Anyways, hope you caught a rerun somewhere.

your a guy right? well ha duh your a guy...but okay

well i have a few questions.

1) i heard that guys like when girls will try to take them from their current girlfriends..true or false?

2)what kind of attitude do boys like? What do you guys look for in a girl? because most of the time they go for the short skirts and stick size girls...

3)how do you turn a guy on without giving him the idea that you want to go any further than kissing??

17f if it helps??!

Hey there. Boy have you come to the wrong "expert" lol. I will do my best though to answer your questions.

First off let me say a few general things. One of the biggest problems with these types of questions is the fact that the answers never apply to all guys. What turns one guy on, turns another off and so on. Also things change with age as well, so things are not constant, yet you will always have more mature and immature teenagers. Finally you also need to keep in mind that how you act will also determine what kind of boy you attract.

Ok, now that is out of the way :) let me try to answer:

1. I suppose every guy or girl likes to feel desired and attractive. That would certainly make you feel that way. Personally though I dont like that idea much, it shows disrespect. I have never heard any of my friends talk about it either. I think it probably will depend a lot on how much they are in love with their girlfriends.

2. Well, again this varies so much. Some guys like that, particularly at that age. Later this will change somewhat.

I think the most important thing here is to be yourself, but to be confident in being yourself (if that makes any sense to you). Being friendly and easy going is always a big plus.

Now I wont lie to you, the physical side will matter, but to what degree it matters will also depend on the kind of guy you want. I remember back in school the worst, most unfaithful guys would always get most of the girls... and each one of the girls thought that their relationship would be different (kind of funny if you think about it).

3. Ok, I dont think you can. The reason is that at that age guys will usually expect more if the girl is acting in a very seductive way. And you will need to act in a seductive way to turn them on in the first place. If you do, and then stop them at kissing, you will probably be branded a "tease".

Well thats the best I can think of. Good luck :)

I really want to write a book. I'm creative, and have a bunch of ideas. Even though I want this bad, I never feel motivated enough to just sit down and get it done.

Where can I find this motivation and organization to finish it? And if it does happen, how do I go about getting it published?

Thank you.

I did some research on this a while back, when I decided to write a book myself. A few things suprised me.

First off, publishers rarely read books and manuscripts that are just sent in. They have huge piles of crap that people send in, and they rarely have time to look at them. So what they do is they look at things that agents they know have sent. One thing that can really help therefore is landing a good agent.

Another thing, apparently, is that no one wants a finished book. Whether an agent or a publisher, they want you to present them with a book proposal. This includes a few chapters, an outline, even an overview of who you think will be your readers, but not a finished product. That way you can be given guidance as you write. Once accepted you then have to meet certain deadlines as you hand in the chapters. It seems that your chance of being published is much greater this way.

You can easily dig up more on this online. Here are a few links I punched up:
http://www.writers.ns.ca/bookfic.html
http://www.junecotner.com/Apr2003PTM.htm

As for the organisation and motivation, that can only come from you. I know of one writer who set himself a goal of 5 pages a day. I tried that, and I failed miserably. What worked for me was scribbling ideas and thoughts as they came to my head and then working them into a coherent text later.

I also very much agree with the answer below, you have to read a lot. I notice for myself, as someone who has read a great deal of non fiction, and very little fiction, what a world of difference that makes in my ability/ inability to write. You are what you read I guess lol.

I recommend using a lot of plans and outlines. Organise your notes and make sure that everything you think of you get down in writing. Once a text exceeds about 50- 60 pages it becomes quite hard to manage if you are not properly organised.

Good luck.

Maybe this needs to go into the random weirdos section, but her it goes anyway.

I had an idea that a few people think would make a lot of money. The theme and name are connected and it would be really easy to do. I run into one thing, money. Or lack of it.

Where would I look for investors or people who have money to get this off the ground?

How would I present it to them so that they take it seriously?

Thank you, your advice is appreciated.

Hey there. I agree with the answer below, the place to start is by making a great business plan.

Here is a site I found that has some resources on the subject:
http://www.businessplans.org/

It looks pretty good, but I must admit I have not used it myself (been a while since I wrote a business plan).

What I can tell you is that you should pay careful attention to a few elements that investors will be particularly interested in (I dont know your business area so my advice is a little general):

- An overall understanding of the industry structure, such as competitors, ease of entry, ability to substiture your product with something else etc. Here is one of the most common models to structure your analysis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porter_5_forces_analysis

- An understanding of your market segments. Who exactly will be purchasing your product (e.g. males, females, old, young, blue collar workers, people who engage in a certain activity, etc). This is important since in the next step below you have to determine how to sell specificaly to the market segments you have identified.

- An overall understanding of what it will take to successfully take your product or service to the consumer, and ensure that it will be purchased. This involves issues like distribution, pricing, customisation/ standardisation, etc. Here is another link with a few marketing models that can be quite useful in providing a recognised structure for your analysis:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing

- A budget plan. This one is absolutely key and should include start up capital, sales forecasts for the short and long term, profit margin estimates, etc. I would assume that most of the business plans in the first link should have a budget you can check out.

As for where to find investors, that really depends on your business. You have simple options like applying for a loan, which has the advantage that the loaning institution will not get a direct share of you business (of course you will be liable for the money). There are also many investment firms and institutions which you can undoubtedly locate online.

Depending on your business area and location there might be support funds available in the form of grants, small business support funds etc.

Good luck.

Ok, I'm 18/m and have an excess amount of fat around the mid section. Currently I am living on my own, have been for about 2 years now and have never felt more alive and well. Heres my problem, my gf is about to have her prom, and I wanna look my best for her as she is going to try to look her best for me. I have never had abs, this is, in my mine, one of the best looking thing a guy can do for his body is have abs, now, to my question. How can I get abs? Currently I alternate sit-ups 150 one day and rest then repeat and have been doing this for about 1 week now, i ride my bike to work every day except on my day off, work is about 5 or 6 km away, takes half an hour each way, but my diet isn't that great. I was also wandering what kind of foods would be good for losing fat from my midsection. Also any other excersizes(sp?) that could help are greatly appreciated, thanx.
P.S. I live in Canada

The key to getting your abs really comes down to two things 1. diet, and 2. lowering your overall bodyfat percentage.

Keep in mind that fat spot reduction (i.e. fat loss from a specific area) is a myth. A very annoying and widespread myth if I may add. Anyway, humans cannot do it, and so there are no specific exercises or foods that will help you in this respect.

What you need to do is to start losing weight overall. The body will pull fat cells from all over. Genetics will determine if one area is emphasised over another.

Here are some general weight loss and exercise tips:

- Cardio is crucial. You are already doing that with biking which is good.
- Resistance training in combination with cardio is way better. Resistance training keeps you from losing muscle mass during weight loss. Essentially it sustains your metabolism.
- The more muscles you use in your workouts the better. Dont just train the stomach, focus on other muscle groups too. You will benefit from it.
- Eat frequent small meals, about 3- 4 hours apart. Each one should contain protein, carbs, and some good fat. Eat for what you are about to do i.e. slightly larger meals before workouts and smaller meals before periods of relaxation.
- Eat several hundred calories less than you burn per day.
- Eat balanced, keep your carbs in check and minimise intake of saturated fats.
- Avoid processed foods, junk calories (e.g. things with sugar added to them), etc.
- Stick to good wholesome foods and base your meals around a good lean protein source (e.g. skinless chicken/ turkey, tuna, lean beef, etc.).
- Make sure that each day you consume a small amount of good fat from sources like fish, nuts (particularly walnuts) and good oils. These are very important for your health and can benefit your weight loss efforts.

As a general guideline this should go a long way. Remember that your overall goal is to lower your bodyfat percentage, which means that you cannot neglect your diet.

Good luck.

do gys like it when we laugh at their jokes? even if its corny?
also what are they thinking when us girls laugh at their jokes?

or should we just keep it to ourself and laugh on the inside to make us girls seem "SANE" and not all laughing so we cann look cool

whats the advice i hope you get the question thanks

Laugh if you think its funny... dont laugh if you dont think its funny. Nothing wrong with having a sense of humour even if it is corny. If you put on the cool act, your inner self will come out sooner or later anyway. Then you will look a bit stupid, or even worse you could look fake.

If a guy cracks a joke, he is usually hoping for a laugh...

I want to get back into shape so I can try out for sports next year.

What are some ways I can get back into shape without getting a gym membership?

Well the obvious question here is... what sports?

Some require endurance, some require explosiveness, some require arm strength, others leg strength, etc.

What you have to do is to break down your chosen sport into components and see how you can train them.

In training for sports its important to remember that you get what you put in. If you train to run slowly, you will become good at running slowly and not much else. This is a common mistake people make, thinking that somehow the 30 min jog will translate into the ability to rush a quarter back, or to charge the net in tennis. It will not.

Another important principle of training tells us to periodise our routines such that as we get nearer and nearer to the season, our training becomes more and more specific. Its ok to build general foundational strength and endurance early on, but by the time the season starts one is training mainly sport specific movements and routines.

So, what does this mean for you? Well you have some options training outside a gym. For general training you can jog, you can sprint, you can jump (this can for example simulate a squat if you jump from a squated position onto a bench), you can jump rope, you can bike, you can do pushups/ pullups/ crunches/ etc, and so on.

Once you are in some sort of general shape I would start some sport specific drills. Now I dont know what you do, but I can use soccer as an example. You can practice dribbling around cones (or whatever), you can do shoot training, you can practice alternating between jogging and sprinting, you can practice running with the ball at your feet, and a huge number of other things that are very hard to describe. Just use google to find out your sport specific drills.

Hope this helps you out. Good luck.

So like..I'm 142 lbs now, which is still overweight. seeing as I'm approx 5 feet tall. I don't look fat.

Anyhoo, I want to (hopefully) lose about 10-15 lbs by the end of June. I have a lot of muscle except I have a lot of flab ontop of it. But no matter how much I cut down on junk food, eat healthily, and exercise 3-4 days a week for 1-2 hrs, I can't seem to lose more weight (I've lost about 4 lbs in a month?)

So what can I do to lose weight faster?

Actually 4lbs in a month is quite ok. If you arent very overweight, the weight loss usually slows a bit. Slower weight loss also often means that you are probably not losing so much muscle, which is good.

I actually think this is working for you, and you should be patient. However, if I were to give advice it would be on the diet front. I dont know what you eat so let me just give you some general guidelines:
- Its important to eat very often. You want to intake about 5 meals a day. Your calorie count should be the same, but the food should be spread out.
- You want to minimies calories from saturated fats, and keep fats in general fairly low.
- You must make sure that you intake small daily amounts of essential fats. Typically western diets have a deficiency in omega 3, and that can (amongst many nasty things) make weight loss harder. Omega 3 sources include fish, flax, walnuts, dark leafy vegetables, etc.
- Every two weeks or so take a day where you eat a good portion of calories over what you burn (say 500 extra or so). This sort of a controlled cheat day can help jolt your metabolism and avoid famine mode.
- Make sure you eat enough protein, and keep carbs under control. They should not be eliminated, but they must be eaten in moderation.

Good luck.

Alright i've been working out lately but there's some spots i'd like to work on like my arms, mainly from my shoulder's to my elbows are there any exercises i can do that will work spefically on my arms?

Well, if I understand you correctly you mean your biceps and triceps right?

There are dozens of exercises you can do for those bodyparts. I would really have liked to know what it is you already do, but I can make a few suggestions just off the top of my head.

Biceps: Dumbbell curls, hammer curls, preacher curls, chin ups or narrow grip cable pulldowns

Triceps: Tricep extensions (Dumbbell or barbell), skull crushers, narrow grip bench press

Here is a site where all of these (and a whole bunch of other) exercises are explained:

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/exercises.htm'

Just click on the muscle you are interested in.

Remember though, for best results stay away from machines, and stick to free weights as much as possible.

Good luck.

Oh one word of warning. If you do go to the gym and ask around, be careful who you ask. Asking the "big guy" is often how gym myths get started.

I was having really bad problems with a certain class so my friend (who's a grade higher than me) gave me her tests from the same class from that year (same class, different teacher). Well I was looking through some of her tests and realized that her teacher gave out the exact same test (that I have done) and quizzes that we've done!

Our big unit test is coming up and I've been studying really hard and never looked at her tests yet because I don't think that it's fair to my classmates that I get a sneak peak but my friend told me that what's the point of my friend gaving me the tests then if I don't look at them?

What's your advice and opinion on this? Maybe I should look once only and study really hard? Or would you consider that cheating? I'd probably forget everything that I glanced on the test so maybe it's just a very good way to narrow down my studying to mroe specific areas? Thanks

Ok, I will give you my 2 cents on this.

From an ethical point of view, it is certainly cheating. Whether you memorise the answers or just use them as a guideline as suggested below. The reason it is cheating is because the teacher expects that your results are an evaluation of your ability without ANY prior knowledge of the test. If you doubt this, try go to him and say "I have the test you are about to give... its ok if I use it as a guideline for studying right?"

That being said, your teacher is little bit daft for using last years tests, but that does not make it right. There is no way you can logically define an "advantage" that is not cheating, in this case. Its all a question of how much you artificially raise your actual results, from the results you would have had without this pre-knowledge. This applies even to your "glance".

There, thats my view anyways. However, I will be honest with you. If I had had this sort of info back in school, I would have fully memorised the test and aced it. Just so I dont give the impression that I am preaching ethics to you or anything.

In the end its all down to what you decide to do. Good luck.

I have recently met whom I considered at the time to be a good samaritan and the individual had decided to help me out by trying to get me a job and helping me out with any other assistance that I needed. I told myself that the person was just being kind to me because I an in a difficult situation and I also said that I would pay back the person as soon as I was able but now the person is telling me that they want to sleep with me.I recently accepted christ into my life and I do not want that sort of life especially since this has never happened to me before because I have always been working to support myself. what do I do. I an repulsed by the idea and to make it worse the person is a married individual.

Look, first off, you do not have to sleep with anybody you dont want to. Nor do you have to feel guilty for accepting his help.

You have to tell this person that you had no idea that this is what he wanted. You should also tell him, as politely as you wish, that you do not want to have any sort of intimate relations with him.

If I were you I would cut all ties with this individual. At least if you are able to. He really sounds sleezy. This is a guy that tried essentially to buy his way to sex, and on top of it all he has a poor wife at home too. The less you have anything to do with him the better.

As for the help you have already received, you can choose to pay him back later. You can treat it as a simple loan or even a gift depending on how it was presented to you. If he did not make his intentions clear from the get go, it is not your problem now.

Good luck.

What are some exercises I can do to thin out my midsection / thighs?

There are no exercises that will thin out your midsection or thighs. There are no exercises that will thin out ANY part of your body specifically.

This is an unfortunate fact, but fat spot reduction is a myth that will not die. Here is a nice article that talks about how weight loss works:
http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2006/05/31/fat_distribution_and_spot_reduction.php

If you are not in the mood to read the whole thing, at least scroll down and read the last paragraph.

The bottom line of all this is... diet, cardio, and other general exercise is the only way to lose weight. You cannot control where this comes from, and you can crunch from here til next year and you will not target your stomach fat. You will strengthen the muscle, but thats all (the muscle does not own the fat around it).

I answer a lot of these, but its a little like trying to put out a forest fire with only a bucket lol.

Anyways, good luck.
