How do you get the grams of a compound converted to mols? For example, 58g NaCl to mols. How would you get that?

Also, what is this equation used for: grams of substance/molar mass

One "mole" of atoms is Avogadro's number of atoms.

To find out how many moles of a substance you have, divide the mass (in grams) by the molar mass (look at a periodic table).

For example, if you have 58g of NaCl, look up the molar mass of Na and that of Cl, add them together, and divide 58 by that number.

Hi all, this is yg. I consider this a question, I am also kind of looking for opinions. I am asking here instead of the mod forum because I'd like answers from those who are mods, and those who may not be yet. There is no right or wrong answer, so please, honest opinions only.

In the last month and a half this question, or a version of this question has come up and it bothers me. 'How can I hide that I have been on advicenators?' I assume it was meant from parents.

I would like to know if others have this problem.

Do you have to hide that you use the site?
If so why?

What do you think would make it acceptable to your parents?

why does putting your hair up help your hair grow faster? is this even true???

I've never heard this claim before, but I doubt that putting your hair up will really make your hair grow faster.

The only things that really affect how fast your hair grows are your genes (some people's hair naturally grow faster than others, and females' hair generally grow faster than males') and your health (if you have any deficiencies of nutrients, your hair won't grow as fast as it can).

However, putting your hair up will pull your hair out, which might make it look longer, but you'll also lose more hair than you otherwise would.

Then again, it will NOT take out enough of your hair for it to be a problem, so unless you already have a hair loss problem, it is OK to put your hair up.

my mp4 player has gone haywire on me. I turn it on and go to the music and it says "empty disk" which on mine means no music. Its a 4GB. When I plug it into the comp, it says i've got 2.4GB left. WHAT THE FLIP IS GOING ON??? IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS!! sorry for the caps, but it is REALLY ticking me off.

When did this happen? If it started after you added any new music to it, try deleting that from the player first and see if it works.

Even if it's not because you've added something new, the files on the mp4 player may be corrupted. If you can still see what's in it when you connect it to your computer, copy all the files to your computer.

After that, either go to the vendor's site to see if you can download software for the mp4 player or look for any CDs that it may have came with when you bought it. If you can find the software, delete everything inside (that's why I said you should copy everything that's in there to your computer first) and install the software, and then add the music back.

Ok I'm trying to avoid getting a tanso I'm going to wear sunblock that's made for my face but my friend said that by wearing it I can get a tan even more easily. is that true?

Sunblock reduces the amount of UV that reaches your face so that you don't tan as much.

Just make sure you don't mix up sunblock and tanning lotion. The latter is often ambiguously used to refer to both stuff that's used for protecting your skin from UV and stuff that makes you tan more, either of which might be applied before going outside depending on whether you want a tan or not.

Also remember that even if you have sunblock on, you should not stay in direct sunlight for too long.

I have a lime green jacket, but I really want it to be white...what would happen if I tried bleaching it? Like with that stain remover stuff or something

It depends on what material your jacket is made of and what dye it was dyed with.

If it's cotton, it should be safe to use bleach on it. There should be instructions on the bottle. However, keep in mind that the bleach may not remove all the colour and you can end up with a weird colour.

If it's wool, bleach might make it lose its texture.

If it's a synthetic material, it may react with the bleach. Bleach at your own risk.

Okay well I was listening to my iPod and I clicked the "next" button and as I clicked it the volume went up as well and suddenly it was frozen. This happened about an hour ago and it's still frozen. I jumped onto the computer hoping it'd take off the frozeness and re charge it but it didn't. I clicked onto iTunes and found out it's not even saying my iPod is connected so I can't even restore it (Wipe off all the songs and restart itself) I also tried restarting it but that didn't work either.

Do I have to wait until the battery runs out and then recharge it or is there something I can do?

You can try resetting your iPod first. The key combination for that will depend on what kind of iPod you have.

If this doesn't work, you'll have to let the battery drain and then recharge.

First of all, do you have an account on Adobe.com? I think those downloads are only for members.

If you do, I'm sure that this link is the file you need to download. Save it to your disk and put it under Presets\Brushes under the directory that you installed Photoshop to, and you should be able to use the new brush.

If you don't have an account, you'll either have to make one or find another site that offers brushes.

If you have Mozilla Fire Fox, you know that the Google Toolbar is on the same line as the 'Search' bar.

Is there any way I can move the Google Toolbar beneath the normal Search Bar, and extend the length of the white bar?

Both Winamp and the plugin are free to download. You can also use this plugin with Quintessential Player.

There are many other audio editing programs that can do the same, but this one is easiest to use, especially if you just want to listen and not save it.

Do anaerobic exercise (weight lifting). It helps you build more muscle and speeds up your metabolism. Be careful not to try and lift too heavy weights to start with.

This is not recommended, but caffeine (found in coffee, tea, and some soft drinks) also temporarily speeds up your metabolism. If you don't normally drink anything with caffeine, don't start because it can be addictive, and too much caffeine isn't good for you.
