my mp4 player has gone haywire on me. I turn it on and go to the music and it says "empty disk" which on mine means no music. Its a 4GB. When I plug it into the comp, it says i've got 2.4GB left. WHAT THE FLIP IS GOING ON??? IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS!! sorry for the caps, but it is REALLY ticking me off.
Even if it's not because you've added something new, the files on the mp4 player may be corrupted. If you can still see what's in it when you connect it to your computer, copy all the files to your computer.
After that, either go to the vendor's site to see if you can download software for the mp4 player or look for any CDs that it may have came with when you bought it. If you can find the software, delete everything inside (that's why I said you should copy everything that's in there to your computer first) and install the software, and then add the music back. You may want to try deleting (formating) all the tracks you have on there and copying them back on to see if that works. [ ammo's advice column | Ask ammo A Question ]
