Question Posted Monday March 26 2007, 7:15 pm

I have a lime green jacket, but I really want it to be white...what would happen if I tried bleaching it? Like with that stain remover stuff or something

i would strongly recommend taking it to the dryclyneers and ask them to proffessionally bleach your jacket

it would get some of the green out, but it will mostly be a white & green mess. i dont suggest bleaching it, unless you take it to the dry cleaners so they can do something with it. if they can't, just buy a white jacket lol.

good luck with it and i hope i helped!

It depends on what material your jacket is made of and what dye it was dyed with.

If it's cotton, it should be safe to use bleach on it. There should be instructions on the bottle. However, keep in mind that the bleach may not remove all the colour and you can end up with a weird colour.

If it's wool, bleach might make it lose its texture.

If it's a synthetic material, it may react with the bleach. Bleach at your own risk.
