im majoring in criminal justice but i need to know exactly what kind of jobs and what i can do with a degree in criminal justice let me know thank!
As far as law enforcement goes, a CJ degree really doesn't matter. It's a social science degree and they're a dime a dozen. However, while it may not always help, it will never hurt. There's many different jobs in the court and corrections systems where a CJ degree can help.
Never major in something and THEN look to see what jobs there are. Find out BEFORE picking a major by researching the jobs and seeing what THEY want. You'd be surprised at how many times a CJ degree is rather inconsequential when it comes to being hired in a job that you may think it beneficial to have that degree. For example- the FBI is likely going to hire someone with a computer science or accounting degree over someone with a CJ degree.
Something was left on my door, like an official piece of cardboard paper. It says it's from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management Federal Investigative Services. The note on it says, "It is necessary that I speak with you regarding an individual who is being considered for a position of trust with the U.S. Government. Your comments regarding this individual's fitness and suitability would be greatly appreciated." It also has the name and phone number of an investigator on it.
Does anyone know what this is about?
Someone applying for a position with the government listed someone at your residence as a character reference for a background investigation. They're not after you, they just want to ask some questions regarding that person.
if your not an american citizen can you get a permit in america and learn to drive on holidays? if so at what age?
You're not going to get a driver's license in any state if you just plan on driving here on holidays. There's residency standards. Rules are also different state to state when it comes to honoring international driver's licenses. Look em up.
hey^_^
how do hoodia diet pills work exactly?Im 17 and half yearz old my height is 1''70 which is like 5 foot 6 and my weight is 167 pounds and i reaaaaly wana reach 140!!is it possible i take hoodia deit pills im desperate to lose weight!!
Appetite suppressant. They're not for you. Especially when you are 16, not 17 1/2.
If your good at high jump, what does that mean about you physically? Just wondering, 16/f.
Technically, it means that you have a quick transition in the Amortization phase from eccentric to concentric in a Plyometric sense.
In laymen's terms- you have good quickness and are strong enough on the way down and the way up to get good height.
I'm 19, 5'8, and I weigh close to 180 pounds. I used to weigh around 200, so I've lost quite a bit. But I also used to weigh 150-- I had an eating disorder. I'm like up and down with weight and I hate it. How do I stay at a healthy weight, once and for all? Help!
Mental attitude is a big part of it. You have to be realistic with where you are at and where you want to go. Setting smaller, reasonable goals is a better strategy than setting one huge Do or Die goal.
Understanding that being healthy and fit is a lifestyle and not a passing fad or a hobby is another critical point. It's a 24/7 thing that you and you alone are responsible for maintaining.
does cellery burn calories?
No.
Hey Mike. I wanted to get your opinion on something. I have been working along in my ISSA book (btw, I will take the exam as soon as I get my CPR certification next month), and I was a little surprised by Hatfield's notion that you can gain muscle and lose weight at the same time.
I dont know if he had the same diet plan published in your edition of the book. Anyways he recommends cycling calories during the week, so that some days you eat less and others more. Than supposedly if you do more days with less calories, you will lose fat while gaining muscle.
I have not seen anyone make that claim before. It confused me to the point where i have no idea what the heck to advise people. I mean, it goes totally against the traditional cutting vs bulking phases.
Anyways, I dont know if you have given this much consideration but I would appreciate any input you might have on it.
Thanks,
Alin
Good for you for taking the test, Al.
I don't really buy into Dr. Squat's theory very much except for the cycling calories part...but for different reasons. I am sure you have noticed that he has a lot of great theories, but he also has some that are sorta off the beaten path lol.
How I've always worked out and learned is that your body isn't a hybrid and cutting and bulking require 2 different kinds of training/calorie distributions. Where I believe in cycling calories is the high and low days because of keeping the body tricked and eating less calories on off days simply because of the lack of activity.
It's just one of many many theories lol. I say just continue to do what works for you and don't try to re-write the basics.
So I'm 18/f.
I'm in a long-distance relationship right now, with an amazing guy. He's coming to town for a week on the 14th and I can't wait to see him.
But my mom is being a huge hassle. For one, she's making him stay at a hotel on the other side of town (which is 60 bucks a night.) Plus, she read his blog on his myspace and made him add her as a friend on facebook just so she can "know what this kid's all about". I find myself repeatedly apologizing to him because of her invasion of our relationship (she's always asking me what he meant by blah blah blah or teasing me about what I'll leave him for a comment, etc.) It's getting so annoying. I know she means well, but I feel like I'm under constant supervision.
She's insisting on driving me to the airport to pick him up when he flies in, and she even refuses to wait in the car when I go in to find him. All I want is to say hello to him without her supervision, since I haven't seen him in person since December. How can I convince her to just back off?? Help! I'm desperate.
Well excuse her for being protective of her daughter. I mean God forbid she would actually CARE? It's a known fact that EVERYONE tells the truth on the internet anyway.
She's your mother...it's her right to be protective, I'd be a lot more upset if she didn't give a shit about your well being with meeting someone who, lets face it, is basically an internet stranger. She doesn't want her daughter becoming another potential cyber-crime statistic. Personally, I wouldn't want some kid my daughter met on the INTERNET sleeping on my couch either, but that's just one of my quixotic thoughts. 60 bucks a night? Hey- too bad, that's life; you made the trip so take the responsibility of also paying for lodging. She's not going to back off, and in time you will be thankful of her caution.
Sometimes things are a little deeper than "Mommy is trying to control my life."
i wanted to know if running in place or jump roping makes me lose weight more? or just inches off my stomach if i did it 30-45 minutes. which one is better?
Jumping rope is better.
Stop worrying about your stomach so much.

whats so great about the superbowl?
Its football and this is America.
can someone show me a website or something where i can see what factory tint looks like on a car?
Thank you Very much =] !!
Just because a car has "factory tints" doesn't mean they conform with the laws of every state in the country in regards to window tinting.
It's the same answer as yesterday, Google in whatever car you want to look at, get its specs and compare them to the laws for window tinting in your state.
can someone do me a favor and find a picture or picturesSss of a car with legal window tint so i can see exactly what it looks like...
LeGAL window tint!
:) thanksssssssssss
1. Every state is different
2. You can find out this informational very easily by looking at your state's laws. Your state + legal window tint typed into Google should provide you with all the information you need.
Then given the tint information, you put it into a Google image search and you can see what that kind of window looks like OR you bring the information with you when you are getting your tints put on so they know the kind of tint to put on.
Why anyone would want to install tints and go through the aggravation to begin with is beyond me but it's your car :-)
I have a local GNC near my school and i was wondering what one would recomend for a highschool football player in the sense of protien shakes. I was thinking cell-tech but after some research and seeing the price i decided to forget that idea. I don't want any creatine or drugs, i want something with protien, vitamins, and that works. any ideas?
Good advice on the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey. That's the protein I've used for 4 years now and I love it. Vanilla Ice Cream and Double Rich Chocolate are my personal favorite flavors.
Remember, shakes are only for when you need quick protein/can't eat a real meal so don't get too caught up on drinking them and thinking they can replace regular food.
Cell-Tech isn't a protein supplement, it's a creatine supplement. MuscleTech's main protein supplement is Nitro-Tech. However, there is a saying in bodybuilding of "Friends don't let friends use MuscleTech" All their stuff is garbage.
My mother and sister came home today and told me that they went to the library and when they came back, there was a parking ticket on their car.
Now we never got one before but here's the thing, should we pay?
My sister said that on the pole there was the parking sign and they were parked in between the time it said so nothing was wrong. But after looking around when they got back, they realized the ABOVE that sign, there was a sign with a red symbol (circle with a slash in between it).
So that means that the parking sign wasn't covered or anything so what the heck? If that red sign was meant for no parking, shouldn't it be right on the green parking symbol instead of above it?
Sounds like a no parking zone to me. It's there...just someone didn't read it carefully enough.
You're better off just pleading guilty and paying the fine.
I'm 15 and I'll be 16 in May.I live in New York (not in the city) I'll be getting my permit in May right? B/c there were rumors that the age was being changed to 17. Is this true?
I am not sure if you realize this, I apologize if you do...but you don't just automatically get your permit at 16. You have to take a test and pay the fee. Calling the DMV or going to their website will give you all the information you need.
16/f
I was thinking about trying the Alli weight loss plan. I just want to know if it's worth the money and if it works?
Another thing. If i go to the grocery store and use self checkout to buy the starter kit, will I not be allowed to for some reason?
Thankssss.
Says you're 14 on your other questions. If so, then Alli is definitely not for you and if you really are 16...its still not for you.
Just make good common sense eating choices and don't buy into what you see advertised on TV.
I need to lose about 40 pounds and want to try NutriSystem. have any of you been on it and do you like the food? NutriSystem is the cheapest compared to Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers.
Any insight on N.S?
Basic culinary skill and basic understanding of nutrition and making your own meals will save you a lot of money and take you a lot farther as you aren't dependant on something that can get pretty expensive. Programs like NutriSystem try and target those who- 1. Feel they don't have the TIME to make their own meals (which is ridiculous) 2. Don't really understand healthy cooking or basic nutrition 3. The naive who feel that diet program food is "better" than regular food. You aren't really paying for the quality of the food, their spaghetti isn't magic spaghetti that is superior to regular spaghetti...you're paying more for the convenience of having everything nutritionally portioned.
People have given me mixed reviews as to the taste and portion of the foods, but if you have the money then it isn't bad but I really recommend you focus on just making common sense nutrition decisions and making/learning to make you own meals. Remember- losing weight takes a little bit of knowledge and a whole lot of discipline.
