I hope this gives you some insight! While I do think that you should've discovered what job options you would have before picking your major, I also believe that majoring in something that you're interested in is key to enjoying what you do. So I hope some of these jobs appeal to you. ]
As far as law enforcement goes, a CJ degree really doesn't matter. It's a social science degree and they're a dime a dozen. However, while it may not always help, it will never hurt. There's many different jobs in the court and corrections systems where a CJ degree can help.
Never major in something and THEN look to see what jobs there are. Find out BEFORE picking a major by researching the jobs and seeing what THEY want. You'd be surprised at how many times a CJ degree is rather inconsequential when it comes to being hired in a job that you may think it beneficial to have that degree. For example- the FBI is likely going to hire someone with a computer science or accounting degree over someone with a CJ degree. ]
