I finally updated my picture, I thought it was time for an update on it so I picked my favorite picture. After all, my previous picture was almost 2 and a half years old!
My name is Ryan. And I will answer most everything you want to ask to the best of my God given ability.But I will not sugar coat any answer and I will give MY advice. I don't care about my ratings, so don't think giving me a 1 for an answer you don't want to hear will scare me. And if you already know what you should do about a sitaution, don't come to us here at advicenators asking for a second opinion. And here below is a list of questions you should NOT ask on advicenators. Granted some of them may vary and be acceptable, but overall don't ask the below questions on Advicenators.
**Don't ask questions like "OMG i heard this song on the radio with "insert pointless pop lyrics here" and i wanna know what it is so what is it! Thanks!! I rate 5sssss! hearts". This question can be simply googled with the lyrics, or you need only ask a friend
**Don't ask "ok so there is the hott guy/gal in my class and he/she like got me a *insert gift or simple trinket here* do you think he/she likes me?" This is the most common question here on this website sadly. Unless it is vitally important and actually pertains to a feeling of true feelings, don't ask it. This is most asked by teens. And what teens need to learn is "love" is not thinking a guy/girl is sweet and hott and nice. I know love, and it is so far from all those things. Remember Cicero when he said "Out of all the emotions, love is the most violent. Love is madness."
**"Ok so me and my boyfriend had sex last night and we like used no protection omg he came in me do you think i am pregnant?" Ugh. Stupid teens and their hormones. IF YOU HAVE SEX YOU ALWAYS RUN THE RISK OF PREGNANCY, UNLESS YOUR STERILE. And if you don't know anything about sex, you shouldn't be doing it. Even if you "love" your partner, half the time this is a disallusion and you will end up hurt. Sex is for marriage.
**Or asking what's "in" for fashion, or what they should wear out tonight. Or what is "cute" and what looks good. Pick and choose for yourself what you like, think for yourself instead of trying to let other people do it for you. Stand up and be yourself.
These are the most common questions I have seen on Advicenators. Now there are a few questions that are very good questions and deserve the 3 rating and the best answer possible. But they are usually blocked out with the kinds of questions listed above. If you want to ask something, check the following off that I am listing.
1.Does the question pertain to anything important or trivial?
2.Is proper grammar used?
3.Is the question long and in one paragraph?
4.Is it a question that you yourself can answer?
5.Is there enough detail?
Following those 5 guidelines, you can write a good 3 point answer. That about wraps it up.
I spend alot of time online and here on advicenators, so if you ever need anything then just send something in my inbox or IM me. I'm not opposed to helping people at all, in fact I love doing it. I just want some people to wake up from asking a stupid question.

I have been looking for some books for summer reading and have yet to find one that sounds interesting. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions or recommendations. :] (link)

Dystopian literature, probably some of the best writing to come out of the human mind since the classics of Homer and Virgil.
Basically, it is the opposite of the Utopian Literature (or a perfect society). Dystopian is always set in the future and features a society that is either utopian in appearence (with an obvious problem) or bleak. The books on it always deal with the personal struggles of one individual who thinks differently than what the prescribed norm is. They are silent rebels, unable to speak freely for fear of the government but yet relish the idea of freedom in their mind.
The prime example of this is George Orwell's 1984..which you'll probably end up reading as an upperclassman in high school. The book deal with the story of Winston Smith, a middle class worker in a bleak Britain. It was written by who I consider to be the last great writer of the 20th Century, George Orwell. I dunno if you would like it, but H.P. Lovecraft was an amazing fiction and horror writer..the greatest since Poe in my opinion. Almost all of his stories are excellent and mindbending..leaving most readers with the impression they just went through something odd and un-understandable..just like Lovecraft intended.

17/f. I love to read. I read almost anything really. But right now I'm in to reading the classics(my favorites: Saligner, Bradbury, Steinbeck, Orwell etc.) I just need more titles. H.P. Lovecraft. He is the best horror writer since Poe. And don't even think for a moment that any horror writer is better, because every modern horror writer took their stuff from Lovecraft or Poe and many of them will admit to it, including Stephen King.
He wrote short stories dealing with his own created mythos, the "Cthulhu Mythos". Basically, it describes a pantheon of ancient beings and people who interact with the modern world in very sublte ways. He also did genuine horror stories such as "Herbet West: ReAnimator" - dealing with the undead and "Cool Air" dealing with prolonging death. They all are fascinating stories and the writing is excellent with good and memorable characters and captivating stories.
Ever heard of the Necronomicon from Evil Dead or whatnot? It came from Lovecraft.

i started babysitting this nine year old girl every wednsday and friday from four to eleven about three month ago. she goes to bed at eight thirty but her older brother gets home around nine thirty or ten from work but i stay until his parents get home so they can pay me. he's 27. he started hitting on me the first wednsday i started babysitting. then about two weeks into it, the fourth time i babysat, i was washing dishes. he came up behind me, put his arms around my waist and started kissing my neck while he was putting his hands up my shirt. he said that it was time for me to stop 'teasing' him. i don't think i was teasing him, i dont dress revealingly or anything and i usually have something on my clothes by the time he gets home.
But anyway, i told him we shouldn't do anything, but he is really cute and it did feel good, but i didn't want to get caught by his parents. i didnt want them to fire me. well we didn't hae sex but he did rub me through my jeans and he pressed his penis into my back. but the next week he came home early and we did have sex and we have been keepingit a secret since then and now i want to stop because it makes me feel guilty. my bff said i shouldn't beaccuse he took advantage of me because he's the adult and he told me that he would tell his parents that i hit on him and tried to sleep with him if ii stopped. i don't know what to do i want to keep babysitting carly because shes kind of attached to me, but i dont want to be pressured when her brothre comes home.pleae help me. So stop. Flat out tell him you're done with him and for him to leave you alone. You're not comfortable with it and shouldn't be pressed to have sex with him if your afraid he'll tell his parents. If he is going to go that route, simply defend yourself and show he's wrong and that it was vice versa.
You might very well be in trouble of losing your job, but if it comes to him telling his parents, simply tell them what happened and say you made a mistake and that he was the one who was pressuring you into doing it. Then he gets in trouble because you're still a minor and he winds up in more trouble that he would want to be in.

Honestly, I don't see any reason why women can't serve in the military of any branch. But the fact is that the modern armies often portray being in the army as "manly" and you will notice that there are differences in names to female and male positions. Such as, you might call a medic a corpsman if he was male, but a medic if the person was female. It would be a tought choice, but it is definately do able.
Although, I don't think women are allowed to serve on Submarines because of privacy issues. Right there might be youre only spot of trouble.

So why do you put up with him doing that? Why do you let him get away with doing what he does?
He doesn't even sound like a good boyfriend, he certainly doesn't treat you like a good boyfriend should. If you won't kick him to the curb like you should, I suggest a good kick or punch his groan to show him to stop.
Don't put up with that! It shows a lack of self respect when you let him disrespect you, stop him from doing it by showing him no means no and you want him to stop.
A swift kick to the groin should show him up nicely, it's the least he deserves and the least you can do since you won't end the relationship.

I've been talking to this guy through Myspace and MSN for over a month. I liked him so much, and we were I don't want to say dating, but sort of "involved" over the computer. He was so different from other boys...and now I know why. "He" is a girl.
She looks just like a guy, and all of her Myspace pictures were really of her! She didn't tell me she was a girl. I messaged one of her friends and said, "Hi I'm *Bob's (not her real name) friend. I really like him." and her friend messaged me back and said, "*Bobs my friend, but she is a girl." I told Bob this and he admitted it and said, "I shouldn't be a girl. I should be a guy."
I am heartbroken. This wasn't just some fake Myspace. This was a real person that's face looked like a guy's. (Obviously shes not, after she showed me a picture of her standing.)
Does this mean I'm a Lesbian? In a way, I feel like I still have feelings for Bob. But I think its just because I liked "him" so much that I'm having a hard time letting go of the fact that "he" is not a he. I know that Bob still has feelings for me. This is so weird. I feel like maybe I should be a Lesbian since thats the only people that are attracted to me. I want to still be Bob's friend, we had such a good thing going. She looked like a guy and had the persona of a guy, therefore you liked the guy and when you found out the truth a bright "wtf?" went through your mind.
By all means don't stop talking to her, you have no reason to. But explain to her that you were digging something you thought was real but wasn't.
No point to not talk to her.

Fast Food Nation is much more appliable to your studies (unless of course, you're lower class or lower middle class). After reading it I gaurantee you will probably not want to eat fast food again.
It's a good lesson though and I recommend it.

Coming from the ancient greek motto written above the temple of Apollo at Delphi, it is what I base my reactions to the world around me on.
It means simply this. You must decide for yourself what reactions you have to the world and those around you. You've obviously become sickened with those around you who do things you yourself would not do.
So I say to do this, cling to what you believe and keep your beliefs higher than those around you. If you let the world get to you then the world has already one and you're just another victim in the social wars. Be better than that. Be yourself.
I feel the same way you do about that issue, don't think you're alone by a long shot. Take a bit of comfort in the fact you're not alone in your fight.

Get either Gold or Silver versions. There are only 250 pokemon and they all make sense, instead of the new 500+ pokemon who are pokemon for every little thing.
Gold and Silver are the best in my opinion with plenty of variety, a good amount of well made pokemon, and a good challenge. It's a GB version, so it'll be the original cartridge.

Keep the conversation going by moving from one topic to another, never stopping unless you have to.
Build off the previous conversation by usuing material from the previous one to propel it forward. If a mention is made of something that is slightly off topic, expand on it, make it the focus of your conversation. One thing leads to another and so on and so forth.

First off, he had nothing more than a crush on here and he took it too hard.
Don't try and make him forget about Monica. Doing so is only going to increase his thinking about her and might lead to more pain.
Just be his friend, it's the best thing you can do in the situation you're in.
