I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end. I have 15 tattoos, and 8 piercings. I'm married and just gave birth to a baby boy in May. turned 13 recently. my mom and i do not get along at all anymore. she hates my friends music clothes me and just how i act. my friends are all i love not my family not my mom not my cousins nothing and nobody else. so my mom makes fun of my friends and says everything she thinks is wrong with them and how they dress and all about them. then i try to get her to stop she talks over me so i cant say anything then i yell then she yells then im grounded. then she says 'o i dont care what you do do whatever you want' then i do then a little while later she get even madder about it. everything i wear that is red purple black brown she gets mad and yells till i change. my jewelry she tells me to take it off then the next day after school its gone she takes my stuff. she tells me to burn things that I like and I wear. im screaming and crying more than ever. but when im around my friends im fine. their gothic their parents let them wear what they want. i cant even get the side bangs. my friend had them and died her hair redish brown it even mainly looks brown its not bad at all. her parents let her. shes having confirmation soon even. i told my mom then she starts saying thats stupid her parents are wrong for letting her do that thats just sick. my ears closed up i want my ears either double repeirced on the lobe or on the cartlidge. my other friends mom asked her if she wanted hers but she said no her mom asked her daughter. WTF! why does it matter how i dress! now its to the point i have to hide my music i add songs i hate in a folder like glamorous and stuff like that then a folder for the music i like like evanescence and the used and stuff like that and i erased the names on all of them their just numbered. last time she heard it she freaked out yelling at me. then i hide my jewelry in a locked box saying pictures. my friends saw me cry for the first time yesterday. they know about my mom so they came over wearing preppy junk and tried acting different for me so my mom would leave me and them alone. my mom said clothes doesnt make a person. so they said ya so why does it matter its just clothes. my mom said but MY clothes do matter. so all the yelling in my life is for nothing because clothes dont matter. but its who i am its what i like its my body not hers. gothic is another stereotype just like preppy is. my brother is preppy so he gets all he wants. my mom is trying to change me she wants me to dress like a slut all the clothes she gets for me. my Best friend is a guy which can never ever comeover hes even a prep. everyone makes fun of me family cousins strangers and people at school. i can cut my hair it wouldnt help i could cut my wrists just might again deep id be quicker. but im guessing my moms rule is NO friends fun or freedom. ive been going trough this for about 2 years she will not budge i will not either. i will never give up. i tell her all this like one thing everyday till im sent to my room then refuse then get grounded. if she yells ill yell i even told her that. i act calm she yells then i do. i say how prep and goth are both just stereotypes how their just names and how she gives him everything because its a different name. i go through too much for anyone to go through. i only act tough because id be dead 2 years ago if i didnt. i cant get a therepist or even talk to my mom or write what else is there to do before i die and shell never even care. there is no way of ''kindly'' doing anything to her she just wont let me.
You need to talk to your mother about this. Try to compromise with her.
Tell her you don't dress this way to piss her off, but it's a self expression, a style that you like. Tell her you don't wanna be a clone of everyone else. You want to stand out, be different & daring. You want new things, and new experiences. Tell your mother you want life.
Talk to her calmly. Don't scream, don't get an attitude, don't yell, and don't get mad. If you do that, you're at a 100% garuntee that nothing will work out. Nothing will change, and she will not even begin to see where you're coming from.
Don't change for anyone. Don't change for your mother. Don't change for friends. Don't change for guys. Don't change for family. Don't change for anyone but yourself. If you change for other people, you'd be fake, & you wouldn't be true to yourself. Do what makes you happy, & live the way you want.
Don't do anything dumb. Don't cut yourself. If you need to vent, start a livejournal or find a friend to talk to. If you feel like you're being a burden, let them know before hand. Chances are, you're not. Everyone has problems, and everyone needs help.

Don't change yourself, and just accept it. Guys aren't always going to like you. And if they don't, that's their loss & their problem. It's not your problem in anyway so don't worry about it. Just keep being who you are & wait a while. At 14, guys shouldn't be your everything.
I have come to fall in love with my best friend.
We almost went out about six months ago but his ex girlfriend came in the picture and stole him away. Then they broke up about two months ago.
I have the password to his account..and I sometimes go in there and check up on him and this girl he's been hanging out with, sent him an email, and said "last night if I would of asked you to kiss me would you of said no?"..
he said "I wouldn't of said no".
its like I've done everything for that boy and been there for him when no one will and yet the thing never goes across his head that "hey I'm looking for love in all the wrong places its been right in front of me the whole time!"
but that just hurts me and I can't approach him about it because thats such in invasion of privacy but the way I see it is I would be blindly chasing after him and get hurt and so I'm being the smarter one here and seeing what he is up to.
he hides him hanging out with girls from me! like if I ask him what he is doing, he'll say he's going here or he's going there when he really goes over to a girls house.

Tell him how you feel. Tell him he's looking for love in the wrong places. Scream it to him if you have to. Just tell him because he'll never know, and he'll forever be completely oblivious to it. Whether you dated or not, he still deserves to know again.

I got my period 3 years ago. I went to the doctor this year and I had my hand examined(the bones determine if I still have a chance of growing)..And my bones were fused. The doctor told me it would be RARE if i grew any more and I'm only 4'11. Also, Ive asked more than one doctor. So, can my boobs still get larger?

I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months now. we've been long distance for 3 of the months. [yes, it's crazy but I truely love him]. I sent him a box of goodies for valentines day & a present for his birthday. He's never sent me anything... not for anniversaries or anything. 5 months back he got me a bracelet for my birthday & then a scrapbook & stuff for christmas. This shouldn't bother you so much. Yeah, you've been buying things for him, but he might not have the money to buy you things. Just because he isn't poor doesn't mean he'll always have cash on him.
You shouldn't even expect gifts out of the blue. Just appreciate what he does get for you. Gifts aren't everything.
My boyfriend and my best friend have been hanging out behind my back, which normally wouldn't bother me. However, they didn't tell me because they knew I'd get upset about it, which worries me more. I should trust them, I know. But she's cheated on her boyfriend one too many times. I talked to them both about me getting upset over it and they promised it wouldn't happen again. I found out today its still happening.
I've never had issues with trusting people, especially those so close to me. This is hard for me to deal with and I'm not sure what I can do to make this jealous feeling go away. Its ruining everything.
Your boyfriend & your friend seem a little odd to me. They've been sneaking around behind your back & then lied about it to do it again. Confront them again, ask what the hell is going on, and if you feel you can't trust them, then stop being friends with her, and dump him.
i'm only 15, and i really would like a job. i've applied to two different grocery stores and i haven't gotten called back yet. i live in new york. does anybody know where i can work at only 15? i'm not really into a babysitting job, babysittings alright occasionaly.
The person who answered below me doesn't know what they're talking about. Having a work permit doesn't mean shit. It doesn't make you "older" so you can work everywhere else. It just makes you legally able to work in the US. In order to have a work permit, you need to have a physical done within the last year, and you need to fill it out. If you haven't had a physical, check with your school nurse, or your family doctor for one.
Most places in New York don't hire at 15 years old. How do I know? I live in New York, and I applied at places when I was 15, and really never got called back. Maybe I was underaged, maybe they didn't like me, but either way, most places hire at 16 & older. Chances at getting a job at 15 are very, very slim. McDonald's does sometimes, but that's if you're very lucky. And at 15, you're not able to work certain shifts, so that could be another reason why. Just wait until you're 16. There's plenty more oppurtunity. For right now, walk dogs & babysit. That's the best you can do for right now. Also, for future job applying, wait about a week or two. If they don't call you back, call them. Tell them you applied a week or 2 ago, and you were wondering if your application had been looked over. Calling back is good on your part because then they see you're really interested in working there. If they over you an interview, dress nice. No ripped jeans, no flip flops, and no being messy. If you show up looking like you would for school, they won't be impressed. Make sure you dress so it'll leave a good impression, and be super nice. Shake their hand, smile. Tell them it's nice to meet them, and be very honest & sincere with your answers. Be confident. There's nothing they want more than a confident, nice worker. =) Good luck.

Yeah, since it is winter, it would be weird. But you live in California, so who the hell cares? It's gonna be warm out, it's gonna be nice. So party it up on the beach.
If that doesn't work out, maybe rent a really nice hall out for the night & then have a cute themed party. Or convince your parents to let you go to a teen night club.
My phone has water damage because it accidentally went through the wash! I'm so miserable! Anyway, I'm wondering if I can get an upgrade earlier than the due date...real early. My upgrade time is in December and it is only May! Do I have to wait until I get an upgrade or is there another idea I can do so I don't have to wait that long!

You can't upgrade or exchange. Insurance only covers lost phones, or phones that have been dropped a lot & really don't work anymore. I don't believe that water damages are covered under insurance. If they're not, you need to buy a new phone at full price. You might want to check the website or the store you bought it from & talk to someone there since they know what they're doing, and talking about.

Talk to him about it. He probably doesn't realize he's doing it, and you need to lay off a bit. Yes, it's frustrating because you feel like you've gotta share & you guys never have any alone time anymore, but this is his FIRST girlfriend. It's not like she's gonna be his last or his only, but he's excited & if you take it away from him now it's not gonna make things any better for you. Just talk to him, and tell you how you feel about it. If you don't see any changes, distance yourself from him for a while.

How could your friend have made you a MySpace with a fake email? Every email has to be verified so they know that it's a real, valid account. It could be because you're logging in from somewhere else, or it's your cookies.
My friend has been through a lot. She has family problems, and a past that haunts her. Shes shy at first, but she definitely warms up. She is always there to help you. My friend once said she always trys to help others, but when she is depressed she wont tell anyone, and i mean anyone whats wrong. How can she do this? I have told her my life. i tell her everything. I love her, because she is always there for me, and she is like my therapist. But i am concerned, because she told me she used to cut. I really want her to share with me, but she says she doesnt know how to. Advice?
No, it's not alright for you to be mad at her. She's in a tough position & you getting mad at her isn't going to make anything better. I know how your friend feels. When you get depressed, and you've got no one to talk to, it makes everything distant. You feel like no one will understand, no one will get you, and no one will help. The more you keep it in, and the more you've got no one to talk to, and the more you're alone, the harder it is to share with people.
The most you can do for your friend right now, is to say that you're there for her when she needs you, you're always there to talk, and that you love her. Tell her you'll be on the other line of the phone, or the computer no matter what time it is, and if she needs a place to stay for a bit, your door is always open.

I don't get why your parents are saying that you guys can't go out. Yes, it was a waste of money, BUT they could've always gave him a ride home no matter the distance. If they wanted to meet him, that would've been the best way.

I have a fancy-dress party coming up and, although I have my costume and hair style all sorted, I have no idea how to actually, physically *do* my hair and make it into the style I want.
Basically, it's a 1950s-style "beehive" sort of do, where it's almost like a bun but bigger at the back. I'm not sure how to do it because for one, I suck at doing hair. My hairstyle is basically curly, & a messy bun everyday unless I feel like doing something & straighten it.

So today in school this girl that likes to run her mouth about people, decided well im gonna run my mouth about you. She thinks i was not gonna do anything just because im quiet. So i ran up to her and confronted her and asked her are you talkin bout me. Shes like yea i am and wut r you gonna do about it. I take off my glasses and my necklace an im like what lets go right now. So she backed up then said wait and took off her necklace.. Then one of my teacher's told me to take a walk and jus walk away so i did, instead of punching her and gettin suspended i punched the door. Then me and my two friends walked with my around the corner to cool off. Then that bitch comes back for some more and my friends tell me to just get up and walk away. She still kept running her mouth so i was like thats it. I was running up to her cussin at her and i was ready to knock the shit out of her, until the principal came out and stopped me. We both had to sit in the office and he asked me wuts this all about so i told him. Then he asked me wut my next step is gonna be when i see her, i told the principal the next time i see her in the hall im gonna hit her in the face. Then i got sent home because they said i needed to cool off and that i will end up hurting someone because of my temper. The thing that pisses me off is that she started talkin shit in front of the office because she knew that they would run out and stop me from hitting her. She only did that because shes scared of me..Basically the principal told me that i have 2 more strikes left, the next one is suspension, and the last is most likely to be expelled. I dont want that to happen. So heres the thing i know that shes gonna do something to me on monday to try to get me mad and i cant control my temper and i know that im gonna beat her ass.. wut should i do?? im soo mixed up right now like shes the type of person who does not shut her mouth and it pisses me off i dont want to get suspended or expelled.. but can you all help me because i dont know what to do because i know coming monday i might fight her..

She sounds like the type that loses a fight, but then twists everything & says that she did to make you look bad. Not only that, but she'll just keep running her mouth about you to push you until you crack. So in the end, you're not only getting suspended, but possibly expelled over a girl who doesn't know when to shut the fuck up.
Honestly, think about it. Is she worth it? Is she worth your anger, your hate & your time? Doesn't sound like it to me. She just wants a rise out of you & by getting mad & swearing at her, you're giving her what she wants causing her to do it more. If you feel the need to hit her, then do it, but don't jeopardize your education because someone can't keep your mouth shut. Because believe me, it can be kinda hard to get into another school once you've been expelled. They try to treat you like a criminal because of the things you've done, and it sucks a lot. Just ignore her, and do what you need to do.
