I have a fancy-dress party coming up and, although I have my costume and hair style all sorted, I have no idea how to actually, physically *do* my hair and make it into the style I want.
Basically, it's a 1950s-style "beehive" sort of do, where it's almost like a bun but bigger at the back. I'm not sure if links work here, so try this (just change the "xx" to "tt"): [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for a reference picture, as it's the girl in the forefront I'm dressing up as :)
Additional info, added Monday April 30 2007, 6:48 pm: Alright, I know I could go to a professional hairdresser - that's a bit obvious. I want to do it myself, though, so does anyone *actually* know how to do it? Because I really don't need another referral to a hair salon.. Bucket answered Monday April 30 2007, 2:10 pm: I think your best bet would be to go to a professional. It may cost a little more, but the hairstylist will be able to put up your hair and make sure it STAYS there for the entire party -- and if you ask nicely, she'll also explain to you how to do it, while she's doing it, so that you'll be able to do it yourself in the future. =] [ Bucket's advice column | Ask Bucket A Question ]
