Hair

Question Posted Sunday April 29 2007, 2:24 pm

Hello!

I have a fancy-dress party coming up and, although I have my costume and hair style all sorted, I have no idea how to actually, physically *do* my hair and make it into the style I want.

Basically, it's a 1950s-style "beehive" sort of do, where it's almost like a bun but bigger at the back. I'm not sure if links work here, so try this (just change the "xx" to "tt"): [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for a reference picture, as it's the girl in the forefront I'm dressing up as :)

Thanks for any help!!

Additional info, added Monday April 30 2007, 6:48 pm:
Alright, I know I could go to a professional hairdresser - that's a bit obvious. I want to do it myself, though, so does anyone *actually* know how to do it? Because I really don't need another referral to a hair salon..

I think your best bet would be to go to a professional. It may cost a little more, but the hairstylist will be able to put up your hair and make sure it STAYS there for the entire party -- and if you ask nicely, she'll also explain to you how to do it, while she's doing it, so that you'll be able to do it yourself in the future. =]

I'm not sure how to do it because for one, I suck at doing hair. My hairstyle is basically curly, & a messy bun everyday unless I feel like doing something & straighten it.

Take this picture to a professional & they can do it for you. It might be expensive though, but well worth it. It's a cute hairstyle.

well, i'm not entirely sure how to do it but you're definitely gonna need A LOT of hair spray...you could also get it professionally done if you're willing to pay for it.
