hey my boyfreind and i want to have sex..
but we never talk.
its like getting sexual is an exuse not to talk because its awkward so we do that instead..
should i dump him?
Well, I wouldnt DUMP him over it but you definitely need to be ready for sex. If you cant talk to eachother, you cant have sex. Tell him how you feel and say we cant have sex until we talk first. Get to know eachother! Go on dates where you need to talk so dont go to places like the movies where theres no talking. Talk on the phone. Dont rush into things like sex too fast!

uhh how bad is drinking for you actually? I'm 15 I drink almost every day but I'm pretty much an honor student so I don't get it what's so bad with it?
Lots of different varieties of people drink. Kids who do "bad things" drink and honor students drink, too! You dont have to be a certain person to drink. Its okay to drink. A lot of kids do it and I know its fun and its summer and you want to live it up. I wouldnt do it EVERYDAY because you can do a lot of damage to your liver. But, not only that, drinking every day is fattening which is pretty much what stops me. Also, you cant make decisions. Hangovers suck, too. :[

hey, yupp its me again, but you've helped me with this guy so far, so I figured you would be my go-to person whenever in need of help with this specific person..
so we've been sending cute flirty texts like that for a while, and these two last nights we've had flirty IM sessions, but now I did something way stupid.. as you've probably noticed by now, I try really hard to be funny with this guy.. why? because it is a well known fact that his ex girlfriend is like a total comdeian! and I know for a fact he cares alot about a girls sense of humour, ofcourse.. why wouldnt he? thats what i care about too! So while trying to show him my funny side, i figured id answer one of those chani-letters were you write answeres for questions like "current crush" "colour of underware" "last thing written" etc etc, just stupid questions basically, BUT while doing this, I got stuck with no way to write anything funny, so I found a person on xanga who answered that same questionnaire..so I copied some of her answers. After sending it to ..well about everyone I know. I noticed, to my horror, that I had forgotten to remove that last part she wrote "haha have a good week ya'll, LOVE ALEXANDRA" needless to say, I AM NOT ALEXANDRA!
BIG MISTAKE -- trust me when i saiy i learned from it, im not doing that agin.,..but what do I do now?? talking about it is just embarrising!! i refuse to do that!! but just avoiding the sunject and pretending its nothing is lame too! this has ruined everything now cause i feel like all i wanna do is leave the country and never see him again!! when last night all i could think about is how i wanna be with him forever :( whyyy would this happen?? oh gossh, what should I do??
Hey again. Ill be your go to person. I love helping people..and especially with INTERESTING problems I actually have experience with. Im going through the whole text flirting thing right now, too. :] Great isnt it? Yet, hard!
Anyway. Its okay! No need to leave the country! This is a common mistake..Ive done it a lot. Its not a really big deal because you can make up an excuse. Did you already tell him the truth? If you havent already, dont! He doesnt need to have a conversation with you about why it says love alexandra or whatever. This is something thats OKAY to lie about because it wont hurt anyone. You could tell him that you meant to copy a cute smiley face but you accidently copied that instead and sent it. You could tell him that you were writing that to a friend on Instant messenger as a joke you were playing on her but you werent looking and wrote it in the questionnaire and didnt even notice until it sent. You could say..I was just testing you to see if you actually read it, silly! You could make a joke out of it and be like, Well at least you know my name. Hes a guy so he probably wont grill you about it or even notice! I mean what are the chances that hes going to guess that it appeared there because you copied a survey because you didnt know what to say and you were trying to impress him. Really. I think youre over reaccting, which is totally normal. Everyone does it, just dont get yourself all upset over it because it'll drive you crazy! If you are really upset about it, you can tell him. He probably wont even understand (guys are CLUELESS.) I wouldnt suggest going that route because it might make things REALLY awkward but I have a feeling with time it'll all blow over. He probably has forgotten about it! I dont think this will ruin it all..I think it'll take a lot more time than that. Always here if you need me! Good luck.

My Boyfriend is really clingy sumtimes and my friends have told him to kinda back off a bit but he hasn't done it that much what do i tell him?
Thanx
I know how you feel, but he's coming from a good place it seems. I mean - he likes you! Youre lucky. So just consider that before you go dumping him only to find out that its hard to find nice guys like him. If he's really not getting the subtle hints youre dropping him - then its time to talk to him about giving you space. You have to ask if you want a guy to change something because they cant read your mind. And its not a good idea to get your friends involved. Its him & your relationship..not him and them. Plus, he might feel ganged up on. Tell him you love him but sometimes you need your space and that when you do you'll let him know.

you answered my question about high school before and i really liked your answer, so i wanted to ask a nother one if you don't mind. i used to play sports in middle school, but i don't anymore because i thought i was going to do cheerleading and they were at the same time. however, i ended up not doing cheerleading because of how grossly strict it became in my school (it's a new program.) so, i was just wondering, is it good to be, say, a MANAGER of a team or something? and also, what clubs are there that i might think of joining since i'm not doing a sport? is it awful not to do a sport? do most people?? will it really affect me?? thanks soo much.
I dont mind. Yeah, being a manager is still a really good way to meet people! I know 2 people who've managed teams. My sister managed the boys hockey team and basically made them brownies and came to all their games and stuff. She did it with her friend and they had so much fun. She got to hang out with hot guys all the time! And she got a boyfriend out of it, too. :] My friend cant do sports because she has a joint problem so she managed the swim team and she was just as much a part of the team as anyone ON the team. Its a really good experience. In my school, sports are really competitive and most everyone does a sport, but you dont HAVE to do anything! No one will look at you weird if you dont do a sport. And also, if you dont like a sport, dont sign up.. Because practices are really hard and time consuming. It takes a lot of commitment to be on a team if you dont really like it. Theres tons of clubs..again, your school might be different. But theres still a lott. Try an art club or photography club. Do a school play. Or computer club. And yes, joining a club/sport will affect you. It will help you a lot and its an easy way to make friends.

my birthdayy is in late august. i don't really feel like having a party, and i want to do something fun maybe with just my best friend or a couple people. what are some suggestions? thankyouu! sorry if its in the wrong category.
My birthday is in late august too! August 30th. Ha, sorry. Anyways. You dont HAVE to have a birthday party - you could just hang out with 1 or 2 friends like any normal weekend or summer day except do something more interesting! It depends on where you live, but maybe you could go to whatever city you live in with your 2 friends and a parent/older person and do fun things like go out to eat dinner, maybe see a play, go shopping, and stay in a hotel overnight! That would be really fun. :] Or you could go to a water park with maybe 3 or 4 people. Another really cool birthday idea is to have a couple of girls come over - maybe 5 or 6 and have a professional make up artist come over and give you all makeovers/beauty tips. If you get one from Mary Kay (my sister did this) they will give you free make up! And its really fun..They tell you what colors look best and stuff. You could also ask your parents to give you money to go for a shopping spree so instead of them getting you gifts, you could treat yourself. :] You could also go to a spa with a friend and have a massage, facial, and a manicure/pedicure. I hope you like these ideas! Have funn.

what's the major differences between middle school and high school? i am going to be a freshman and i'd like to know some hints & the major differences. also, whats the first day like? thankyouu muchly.
I was a freshmen last year, so I know exactly how you feel. I was so scared - terrified! I heard upperclassmen beat you up..not true. You might get lost the first day but theres tons of teachers around! Dont be late trying to find a class, ask someone! You will be held responsible in high school. Things like not passing in your homework are different in high school. In middle school, you might get yelled at or they are mad at you for it. But in high school they treat you like an adult and actually do the OPPOSITE. They dont care - but you will find out what happens when you get a lower grade on your final grade. High school is all about being organized. You have to keep your stuff organized or you wont be able to do ANYTHING. As for friends, I would STRONGLY suggest joining a team or club. I wanted to meet upperclassmen, so I joined the tennis team and I met tons of girls in higher grades who were really nice. Also, the boys are really hottt. :] So, if you have some older ones in your class - go for it. Tons of girls who are in my grade ended up with junior boyfriends or seniors even! Thats the BIGGEST difference I think in high school..grades stop mattering. If youre a sophomore dating a senior, no one thinks twice. Where in middle school that'd be a 6th grader dating an 8th grader. It'll be fine. High school is NOT scary. You wont get drugs shoved down your mouth, and people drink but they dont force you to do anything..thats just movies and stuff. :] Good luckk!

well im not going to do it now but for like future comings, like well i wouldnt know rite but do you shave down stairs for girls like if you did that wouldnt the guy hate that? like whats better? what do you do?
Its really about YOUR preference, not the guys. Personally, I think its kind of gross not to shave, but either way - if this guys serious about you (which he should be if hes having sex with you) then he wont care either way. Do whatever you feel most comfortable with..because sex wont be fun if you dont feel comfortable with yourself.

Ive always had low self-esteem but for the past few weeks it has really hit a high point. About two weeks ago I ate too much after being on a great diet and losing almost 15 pounds and I weighed myself for the first time then since I had lost weight and i already gained 2 pounds back. I know it wasnt much but it made me so upset that I decided that I would just throw it up and just not eat for the rest of the night. Since then its become a habit. Ill eat a regular sized meal and then throw it up, eat later in the day, keep it and just not eat again. Some days I dont eat at all because I know that I will just want to throw it up later. I really scared myself and Ive been okay for the past few days, but I dont want to feel like I need to throw up again. I know the health issues with it and I know it is very damaging both physically and mentally. I dont want my mom to worry about me any more than she already has to, shes dealing with a lot of stress right now and so I was just wondering if there are any ways that would help me to deal with this or if there is anywhere I could get help. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you
You NEED to get help. I know you dont want to have your mom worried about you, but she'd much rather worry & HELP then to find you dead and wish there was something she could have done to save your life. The most terrible thing to a parent is losing their child. And over something that could have been fixed. Yeah, you could try to fix it on your own but take it from someone whos been there..it comes back. It never really goes away until you get help from a specialized person. If you didnt want to tell your mom because you were afraid she would be mad which isnt true, you could just tell her you need a therapist..But keep in mind, the therapist will probably tell your Mom because bulimia is dangerous and needs to be watched. Im sorry you feel bad about your body but there are other ways to lose weight. You said you lost 15 pounds?!?! Thats GREAT! You should be PROUD of yourself because that is hard. Im glad you realize the effects of bulimia. But, here are all of them.
Amenorrhea - Loss of Menstrual Cycle (due to lack of the hormone, Oestrogen)
Anemia/iron deficiency - this makes the oxygen transporting units within the blood useless and can lead to fatigue, shortness of breath, increased infections, and heart palpitations
Arthritis can be caused by hormonal imbalances and vitamin deficiencies.
Bad Circulation, Slowed or Irregular Heartbeat, Arrhythmias, Angina, Heart Attack - There are many factors associated with having an Eating Disorder that can lead to heart problems or a heart attack. Sudden cardiac arrest can cause permanent damage to the heart, or instant death...
electrolyte imbalances (especially potassium deficiency), dehydration, malnutrition, low blood pressure, abnormally slow heart rate, electrolyte imbalances, and hormonal imbalances can all cause serious problems with the heart, high blood pressure, accumulation of fat deposits around the heart muscle, high cholesterol, decreased exercise due to lack of mobility, diabetes and hormonal imbalances can all lead to serious problems with the heart.
Bloating
Callused or bruised fingers and knuckles- caused by repeated use of fingers to induce vomiting.
Cancer - of the throat and voice box (Larynx) due to acid reflux disorders.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - continuous and crippling fatigue related to a weakened immune system.
Constipation
Cramps
DEATH: caused by any of the following or any combination of the following: heart attack or heart failure; lung collapse; internal bleeding, stroke, kidney failure, liver failure; pancreatitis, gastric rupture, perforated ulcer.
Dehydration
caused by the depletion or lack of intake of fluids in the body, or by restriction of carbohydrates and fat. Restriction/Starvation, vomiting and laxative abuse are the primary causes in sufferers of Eating Disorders. Symptoms include dizziness, weakness, or darkening of urine. It can lead to kidney failure, heart failure, seizures, brain damage and death. The healthy functioning of cells and tissues is dependent upon a certain level of water content in the body. Also, salt and other minerals need to be kept within a narrow range. In a person who has become dehydrated, it's possible they are suffering from a depletion in salt as well as water. Long-term dehydration can ultimately lead to kidney failure. Amongst bulimics, dehydration usually occurs because the stomach is being emptied of its gastric fluids.
Dental Problems, Decalcification of teeth, erosion of tooth enamel, severe decay, Gum Disease - will be caused by stomach acids and enzymes (from vomiting); vitamin D and calcium deficiencies, and hormonal imbalance.
Depression - mood swings and depression will all be cause by physiological factors such as electrolyte imbalances, hormone and vitamin deficiencies, malnutrition and dehydration. Living with the Eating Disorder behaviors themselves will cause depression.
Depression can also lead the sufferer back into the cycle of the Eating Disorder (or may have initially been the problem before the onset of the ED).
Diabetes - high blood sugar as a result of low production of insulin. This can be caused by hormonal imbalances, hyperglycemia, or chronic pancreatitis.
Diarrhea,
Digestive Difficulties - a deficiency in digestive enzymes will lead to the bodies inability to properly digest food and absorb nutrients. This can lead to malnutrition and electrolyte imbalances.
Diseases that may be triggered by this are: Celiac Disease (gluten sensitivity), and Crohn's Disease
Disruptions in Blood Sugar Levels -
Low Blood Sugar/Hypoglycemia: can indicate problems with the liver or kidneys and can lead to neurological and mental deterioration.
Elevated Blood Sugar/Hyperglycemia - can lead to diabetes, liver and kidney shut down, circulatory and immune system problems.
Dry Skin and Hair, Brittle Hair and Nails, Hair Loss - cause by Vitamin and Mineral deficiencies, malnutrition and dehydration.
Easily Bruising Skin - Vitamin Deficiencies that decrease the body's ability to heal itself, low blood pressure, low platelets count and/or extreme weight loss will all lead to easily bruised skin that can take a long time to heal.
Edema - swelling of the soft tissues as a result of excess water accumulation. It is most common in the abdominal area of Bulimics (can be caused by Laxative and Diuretic use).
Electrolyte Imbalances - electrolyte are essential to the production of the body's "natural electicity" that ensures healthy teeth, joints and bones, nerve and muscle impulses, kidneys and heart, blood sugar levels and the delivery of oxygen to the cells.
Esophageal Reflux /Acid Reflux Disorders - partially digested items in the stomach, mixed with acid and enzymes, regurgitates back into the esophagus. This can lead to damage to the esophagus, larynx and lungs and increases the chances of developing cancer of the esophagus and voice box.
Reflux can sometimes become so severe that food cannot be kept down at all and medical attention should be sought immediately.
Gastric Rupture - spontaneous stomach erosion, perforation or rupture.
Gastrointestinal Bleeding into the digestive tract.
Heart failure The heart muscle can become thin and flabby from nutritional deficiency. A lack of calories and protein can have a negative effect on the heart, and body chemicals may become so imbalanced that heart failure occurs.
Hypertension (high blood pressure)-Can cause: blood vessel changes in the back of the eye creating vision impairment; abnormal thickening of the heart; kidney failure; and brain damage.
Hyperactivity - manic boughts of not being able to sit still
Hyponatremia (related to "water-loading") Drinking too much water (more than eight, glasses in less than 12 hours) can cause Hyponatremia (not enough sodium in the blood), especially in someone already malnourished or dehydrated. Hyponatremia can cause fluid in the lungs, the brain to swell, nauseousness, vomiting, confusion and even death.
Hypotension (low blood pressure) Caused by lowered body temperature, malnutrition and dehydration. Can cause irregular heartbeat & shock
Incontinence
Infertility - the inability to have children. Caused by loss of menstrual cycle, and hormonal imbalances.
Inflammation & rupture/tearing of the esophagus
Stomach acid irritates the esophagus, which can cause inflammation and raw areas, sometimes making swallowing painful. Of greater concern is a rupture of the esophagus, because this can be fatal in some cases. It is caused by repeated vomiting and the person will have bright red blood in their vomit. Although a tear often heals itself after a few days, this is NOT ALWAYS THE CASE AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU ARE VOMITING BLOOD.
Irregular or abnormally slow heart rate
Purging can lead to potassium depletion, which in turn can cause problems with the heart. Equally, starving oneself can also lead to an irregular or slow heart rate, which can mean that the heart muscle is undergoing changes. This is likely to lead to low blood pressure and, the lower blood pressure and heart rate goes, the greater the risk of heart failure.
Insomnia - having problems falling and/or staying asleep.
Ketoacidosis - high levels of acids that build up in the blood (known as ketones) caused by the body burning fat (instead of sugar and carbohydrates) to get energy. It can be a result of starvation, excessive purging & dehydration. It can lead to coma and death.
Kidney Infection and Failure - your kidneys "clean" the poisons from your body, regulate acid concentration and maintain water balance. Vitamin Deficiencies, dehydration, infection and low blood pressure increase the risks of and associated with kidney infection thus making permanent kidney damage and kidney failure more likely.
Lanugo - (soft downy hair on face, back and arms). This is caused due to a protective mechanism built-in to the body to help keep a person warm during periods of starvation and malnutrition.
Liver Failure - the liver aids in removing waste from cells, and aids in digestion. Fasting and taking acetaminophen (drug found in over-the-counter pain killers) increases your risks for Liver damage and failure. Loss of menstruation and dehydration (putting women at risk for too much iron in their system), and chronic heart failure can lead to liver damage or failure
Lowered body temperature- caused by loss of healthy insulating layer of fat and lowered blood pressure.
Malnutrition - caused by under eating or overeating. The word malnutrition indicates deficiency for energy, protein and micronutrients (e.g. vitamin A, iodine and iron) either singularly or in combination. It can cause severe health risks including (but not limited to) respiratory infections, kidney failure, blindness, heart attack and death.
Muscle and cartilage deterioration- wasting away of muscle due to the body feeding off of itself. The body will start to use its own tissue & muscle for energy it needs.
Orthostatic Hypotension - sudden drop in blood pressure upon sitting up or standing. Symptoms include dizziness, blurred vision; passing out, heart pounding and headaches.
Osteoporosis - Thinning of the bones due to lack of calcium, leaving them susceptible to fracture.
Pancreatitis - this is when the digestive enzymes attack the pancreas. It can be caused by repeated stomach trauma (such as with vomiting), or the excessive use of laxatives or diet pills.
Paralysis (Temporary) Caused by low levels of potassium, and/or the degeneration of nerve cells, in the spinal cord or in the brain, which have been deprived of essential nutrients. Left untreated, periods of paralysis may happen more frequently and more severely, lead to permanent muscle weakness, and even result in death.
Peptic ulcers -A peptic ulcer refers to an area of the stomach or the tube that leads away from the stomach which becomes eroded by stomach acid. Peptic ulcers can be serious and need immediate attention if you are vomiting blood or passing digested blood in your stools
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - Females with an ED are at an increased risk for developing PCO
Seizures - the increased risk of seizures in Bulimics is caused by dehydration.
Swelling - in face and cheeks (following self-induced vomiting).
Tooth decay Caused by the stomach acid eroding the enamel on teeth.
Please get help because you deserve it and your body deserves it. You seem like a smart girl.

Ok i'm 5'4 and i weight 110 am i underweight because i want to get sum muscles for volleyball and i wanna know how hard i'm going to have to work, please help me lol
Hey. Well, actually youre BMI is 18.9 and underweight is 18.5 but still, that is very close! You probably will want to eat a lot of protein if you want to gain muscle and then you will have to go to the gym. This is what I suggest because they have weight machines, so its easier to gain muscle than what you can do at home. The pricey membership is worth it if youre serious about volleyball/getting in shape! Also, you can try drinking protein shakes. They will taste bad, but they help you gain muscle [with lifting weights of course] and you can mix it with other drinks. Its usually a powdery substance you can get at a drugstore. Hope that all helps.

okay her girl! i absoloutly love how you answered my whipped cream question! it was hilarious!
So now im back for help// he sent me an email saying "great! i love cherries! by the way, if you have cherry lipgloss, I'm all for it! lol"

how do u know if you have anemia?
what are some of the problems that can occur to you?
how can you get rid of it?
Anemia is caused by lack of Iron in your diet or blood loss. If you have anemia, youre tired a lot and listless. You become weak and unable to do alot of physical things. You feel dizzy at times. I thought I had it once, so I had to go to the doctor and they took blood to test it. You get rid of it by taking iron pills given to you by your doctor.

is it true that drinking ALOT of milk could make your boobs get bigger? im 14 mine are really small and i know i still have lots of time for them to grow but im very thin with a high metabolism. so if i drank alot more milk would it add some size to them?
Milk makes you chunky, so yes your boobs would get bigger. But, youre stomach, arms, and legs would too. So, I dont suggest doing it.

How do you know if someone is a true friend?
They dont ditch you.
They dont talk behind your back.
They like you no matter what you do/like.
They accept you as a person.
They dont use you just to gain popularity, money boyfriends, or anything else.
They contribute to the friendship just as much as you..call you and make plans.
They like to be around you.
You have similar interests.
Theyre not mean to you.

well theres this girl and she said she wants to kill me. what do i do. im scared he means it. HELPPPP!! we really arent friends but idk if she was jk or is serious. ive heard stoires like this b4 where people dont take it seriously then like, get killed. what do i do? (we are 13)
Youre 13. I doubt shes going to KILL you. Im sure she just wants to scare you into thinking that so that she has power over you. Because once someone is afraid of something, they lose power. If you really dont feel safe, tell the police. But I warn you that that might make it worse. Also, make your parents aware of this. And try to surround yourself with people at all times.

okay, seriously.. i must be an insomniac. it's 5:27 am and i cant sleep, i cleaned my whole room, bathroom and kicthen to give me something to do, and im hyper as ever still, for the past 2 months i have not been able to sleep, and when i do sleep i sleep to much, what is rong with me? am i going insane???
Well, Im guessing its just summer and a lot of people are like this. Its a bad cycle - if you go to bed late, you'll get up in the middle of the day and wont be tired at a reasonable bed time. So, you have to wake up earlier one day so that you feel tired at night! But, if that doesnt work and you honestly think you have insomnia, talk to your parents about it and go to a doctor. They will give you sleeping pills.
