you answered my question before ...

Question Posted Thursday July 20 2006, 11:28 am

you answered my question about high school before and i really liked your answer, so i wanted to ask a nother one if you don't mind. i used to play sports in middle school, but i don't anymore because i thought i was going to do cheerleading and they were at the same time. however, i ended up not doing cheerleading because of how grossly strict it became in my school (it's a new program.) so, i was just wondering, is it good to be, say, a MANAGER of a team or something? and also, what clubs are there that i might think of joining since i'm not doing a sport? is it awful not to do a sport? do most people?? will it really affect me?? thanks soo much.

I dont mind. Yeah, being a manager is still a really good way to meet people! I know 2 people who've managed teams. My sister managed the boys hockey team and basically made them brownies and came to all their games and stuff. She did it with her friend and they had so much fun. She got to hang out with hot guys all the time! And she got a boyfriend out of it, too. :] My friend cant do sports because she has a joint problem so she managed the swim team and she was just as much a part of the team as anyone ON the team. Its a really good experience. In my school, sports are really competitive and most everyone does a sport, but you dont HAVE to do anything! No one will look at you weird if you dont do a sport. And also, if you dont like a sport, dont sign up.. Because practices are really hard and time consuming. It takes a lot of commitment to be on a team if you dont really like it. Theres tons of clubs..again, your school might be different. But theres still a lott. Try an art club or photography club. Do a school play. Or computer club. And yes, joining a club/sport will affect you. It will help you a lot and its an easy way to make friends.
